One of the baristas here is great but the other young lady that is always wearing the mask has a rude attitude.

In spite of Tucson being an international biking Mecca, the city streets here are still very much the wild west. I had gone through life thus far accident-free but was hit head on by another bicyclist a few weeks ago. The Ogre survived but it was time to get stronger brakes and tires. In Tucson, bicyclists need all the help they can get. Fortunately, Sam is the right guy to spec out the right improvements. He installed Growtac mechanical brakes, Gravel King tires, and a new Chris King bottom bracket. I took the Ogre out this morning and the changes made the bike feel new again. I had read glowing reviews about the Growtac mechanical brakes and, indeed, the stopping power is excellent. (I'd put them up against hydraulic brakes.) The tires give me much more traction on the many streets under construction in the city, too. I've always enjoyed bicycles because there is nothing else for me that provides such a sensory hit of adventure and fun. The little things that Sam did on the tune up added up to a dramatic difference that made for a joyful ride this morning. Thank you, sir!

This isn't one of those places, it's a fully stand alone coffee shop adjacent to the bicycle shop. This is a unique coffee shop, older brick building with a nice interior. It also has a patio in the back which is pretty cool. I've tried the sage latte and cold brew, both are very good. The staff are nice as well. The ultimate highlight for me is the food. They carry pastries that I haven't seen anywhere else, the ding dong is the bomb if you grew up in the 80s or 90s, its like a hybrid of the hostess cup cake and a ding dong. Definitely added to my rotation of favorite coffee shops to go to.

I have to say, I was so surprised with how much I loved this place! I ended up here quite by…read moreaccident, as my dance company was performing and I hadn't considered packing a lunch. Half a dozen of our dancers descended on the place and they were already deep into the lunch crowd (around 11:30 a.m.) on a Sunday. This lovely employee offered to take care of us and showed us to a table that was able to accommodate all of us. She then proceeded to kindly answer questions, take our orders, and followed up with us to make sure we had everything we needed. I wish I'd gotten her name but I did not, so hopefully whoever sees this can pass along compliments to management (I'm writing this on the same day as the visit)! As for the food and beverages, there were so many more options than I would have imagined at a smaller location like this. I got the horchata which was delicious, and then ordered a yogurt parfait from the breakfast menu and the Sonoran dog from the lunch menu. Thankfully they sell both breakfast and lunch menu items all day! The yogurt parfait was perfect, the yogurt was tasty and not too sweet, and the blueberries were plentiful along with a smattering of strawberries and great granola. The Sonoran dog came with chips and was appropriately topped, with plenty on it yet not so messy that I couldn't eat it. Of course you could not ask for a better environment in which to enjoy your food and drink, because what's more beautiful than the botanical gardens! It's really nice to have a quality restaurant inside a place like this because a lot of times it can be hard to find good food at a place where that's not the main attraction. If you are visiting the botanical gardens you should definitely check out Edna's Eatery! Next time I plan on trying the frozen fruit pops....

I love starting my mornings in a garden right when it opens, so I was excited to grab a coffee to begin my visit. Sadly, my iced coffee was not drinkable. The flavor was bitter, and the cream separated immediately, leaving it tasting and looking unappealing. It's disappointing to encounter something like this in such a beautiful location, especially after paying $5 for the drink. A garden this lovely deserves beverages that match the experience, and I hope they make an effort to significantly improve.
