Service: The service was extremely disappointing. One of the staff members (She seems to be Arabian) seemed to treat customers differently based on her own personal judgment. She spoke warmly to some people but acted as if I wasn't even there. I literally had to ask multiple times just to get my coffee. It left me feeling ignored and frustrated. Food: The coffee itself was a letdown--burnt, old-tasting, and definitely not worth the $5 I spent. I place pickup orders here during my work from home day and they're usually ready on time and very quick. Even when busy, I can usually also track someone down to give me a pup cup as my dog is disappointed if I come home without one. Recommend for quick service when ordering online as parking is easy. read more

My visit here was just okay. I was here early on a Saturday morning and while the line was long, it was long and slow. Service was slow and the drinks seem to come out just as slow. It seemed the longer the line got, the slower the service was and they was no rhyme or reason to it as it looked like the location was fully staffed with baristas. Once I received my drink, i still had an extended wait for the warm blueberry scone I ordered as well. Maybe it was an off day or maybe this is the standard for this location. This is the worst Starbucks EVER! I go in for coffee once a week or so and it's always the same. The employees make heavy eye contact and never greet you. It's like they purposefully ignore you because it's not that busy in there. Today, I stood there for about 10 minutes without anyone knowledging my presence. The Asian woman who works there will literally look right at me and no smile, no hello. I hope she's not the manager because if she is, then shes the one setting the tone. I will drive a mile down to the Starbucks on Rt. 7. Never ever will I go into this Starbucks again. Maybe someone from corporate should see what is going on in there and see for themselves. The manager of this store must be doing something right. My husband and I have been customers for 4 years, the staff in this location always have the best vibes and are the friendliest! When I go few minutes before they close or I get order mixed up, they go out of their way to get me a cup of coffee. Kudos to the team to have consistent top customer service. This is by far my least favorite Starbucks location in the area. The layout of this location is just horrific. You know at this point that your mobile ordering is a big business, yet there is a non-existent counter top designated for mobile orders. At one point, they were so backed up and so slow I witnessed 30+ plus people crammed towards the back of the store where the "pickup point" is... clambering over every cup o' joe that was prepared hoping it was theirs. Sort of sad for a company like this to allow such a backup. I think it'd be a pretty easy fix, as far as the mobile order pickup, to be moved to the front counter where there is plenty of unused space! As far as backups, that's for the manager to get squared away.. Meanwhile, I'll pick one of the other nearby stores instead. read more

This Starbucks is literally the cheapest Starbucks in the area. When you ask for a refill on coffee, which is a Starbucks gold member benefit, they give you the hardest time. They almost always ask you if you bought the coffee from their store even if the person asking was the one who took your order 30 min ago. Now they tell you that the new policy is that you have to get the refill within 1 hour of your oringial purchase, which it doesn't state on Starbucks' website. No other Starbucks I go to has never once asked me if I got the drink at their store or told me about this new 1 hour policy. This will be the last time I come here. read more

When you first walk in here you'll notice how spacious the location is, nice seating and they have a stocked rack of newspapers, cups and other things for sale. That's where the goodness ends. Be prepared to wait to place your order, even with four people behind the counter and no line there still is a wait to order . your barista will make you repeat your order three times before they send the cup over to the drink making station - staffed by two people. These two people will stare at you cup for a few seconds trying to comprehend what you want. Be ready to wait 5 minutes for them to figure out your drink order and craft your beverage. The beverage will be OK. And then you leave. Underwhelmed. read more

I've ordered a starbucks double shot on ice almost every morning for the last 4 years. I travel a lot for work, and moved here from CA about 7 months ago. I know this drink really, really well. This location makes it wrong 100% of the time. It's like they literally only put two shots in there, they don't even bother to properly shake it and the cup is not even half full (with ice). It's absolutely terrible. What's worse is that the barista (always the same guy) argues with me and tries to gaslight me! I have (more than once) accidently placed a mobile order here, and 100% of the time I get the wrong drink and the rude dude. Also, 100% of the time, I've had to call Corporate to get a refund, and then reorder at the Pike location a few blocks away. They get the order RIGHT 100% of the time, regardless of who makes the drink. read more

They are accurate, efficient, & timely with orders. But they are not very friendly. I think their mgr shld strongly encourage them to smile & greet ppl. I get it: you guys were packed today .. long line, lots of people ordering ahead, absolutely packed inside - I'm guessing many of your customers this morning had been suffering from loss of power due to the storm and that your traffic was a bit heavier than normal. I get that. I was one of those customers who had lost power for 24+ hours. All I wanted was a yummy caramel machiato and hot chocolates for my kids; that was going to get us going this morning as we were making the decision to stay home, or head for a hotel. Again, you guys were busy - I get that. But come.on I ordered my caramel machiato with an extra shot and two hot chocolates. I also ordered two sandwiches (which were excellent, thank you) and a treat for my daughter (wrong item in the bag). Let me caveat this review with two quick facts: 1. I didn't check my order until I arrived home 2. I could have returned to get it all fixed, but why bother? The line was almost to the freaking door and the look the barista gave me when I asked for a drink carrier was enough to discourage me from going back to tell her she screwed up all of our drinks and ask for replacements. Yes, ALL of them. - my caramel machiato was a vente hot chocolate with espresso added .. two sips and down the drain - both of my kids commented that their hot chocolate was "worst ever" .. bold statement, so I tasted both: they were in fact worst ever. Will not be returning to this Starbucks ever again. Thankfully, there's one on just about every major intersection in Tysons. read more

I like that this 'bucks location is tucked away on a random end of a shopping center on Route 7 in Tyson's Corner next to The Tile Shop and one of the fanciest Wells Fargo ATMs I have ever seen. There's obviously TONS of parking since it's in a "big box" shopping parking lot, and you can rest assured that, given the relatively narrow footprint of this Starbucks, that any lines will stay straight and narrow, and not get all crazy and in your space as you sit at your table, creating and editing Yelp reviews via their free Google Wi-Fi! I also find that the staff here is young, energetic, knowledgeable, and engaging, more so than at other immediately local Starbucks locations. They don't roll their eyes when they're asked for what's probably the 30th time that day what's in a Caramel Flan Latte, and they don't give me the stink eye when I order a double Short soy something-or-another. There's also your full selection of oven-warmed goods, the ubiquitous Starbucks snack case, take-home whole-bean coffees, trinkets, and a refreshingly ample amount of seating. You'll find that the access to this Starbucks is easy when you're traveling NW on Route 7, shortly before the entrances to the Dulles Toll Road. Getting there is probably not as easy if you're headed the other direction on 7, towards Tyson's. read more

My husband has been to this location many times since its near his work. I finally made a a stop today with him for a quick coffee date before heading to the airport. He told me it was always busy and today was no exception. The baristas were trying their best to keep up with the customer's orders. I was impressed that when I asked for an extra hot skinny vanilla latte it was actually it was super hot!!! This seems to be hard for other locations to give me this when I ask. read more

This place is always crowded full of business people. It's slightly annoying because all I hear people talking about is work and the place itself echos quite a bit. Even with headphones on you can still hear individual conversations there. I'd rather go down the street to the other Starbuck's which is bigger and doesn't echo. Normally I don't go to Starbucks for coffee. I have nothing against their coffee per se, I just got used to making my own coffee and like it better. :P I digress. I wanted to write a quick review for this particular Starbucks because of how big it is. Perhaps I haven't been to many Starbucks in during my life time, but this is one of the bigger ones I've been in - and I really like it. I also like the fact that there is a good amount of seating and that the walls have outlets so you can bring your laptop and stay awhile. Their coffee is pretty good too, although I notice that the taste of their White Chocolate Mocha is slightly different than some other Starbucks. It's not worse, it just tastes different. Other than that, I find the size to be quite the welcoming aspect of this place. Some people may not be used to it, or even enjoy such large amounts of space, so know your limits. The baristas seem cool and very friendly, which is always a plus. Always! read more

Bathroom could have been a tad bit cleaner but I appreciated that it was a gender neutral, single stall bathroom that had a changing table-thinking about all the dads that have issues with finding changing tables in men's restrooms. read more

I still stop by this particular location since it's on my way to work and mobile order is super convenient but it's not as great as it used to be. They used to have a great flow going despite all the mobile orders . Always greeted by name!! Recently the sense of urgency has gone down . There has been mix ups when ordering food as well(wrong sandwich etc). One or two members from the previous team are still there and I love their service ! read more

I used to like Starbucks, but in the last 5 years or so its getting washed up and wearing me out a bit. I live in the heart of tysons where there are probably 10 Starbucks within a 1-2 mile radius, but sometimes I give in and swing by this location on my way to work. Part of what I'm starting to dislike about Starbucks is just Starbucks itself. My first bone to pick, and the the most important one, is that their coffee is just not that good. It's coffee for the noncoffee snob even though everyone who orders here thinks they are a coffee snob. It literally can't compare to some of the worst divey places I've been in Miami, Puerto Rico, and Columbia. Also I'm tired of walking into Starbucks and being hit with retail. Retail! Retail! Retail!! Oh my gosh! Is this a coffee shop or a freaking teavana! Then it comes to ordering. If you ONLY want a coffee and plan to add your own milk or sugar you have to wait just as long as the woman in front of you who wants a grande iced sugar free vanilla late with soy milk with 2 Splendas on the bottom and one on the top, or the man who wants a decaf, soy latte with an extra shot and cream and one shot espresso or a 15 year old who demands a tall, half-caff, soy latte at 120 degrees. What the heck! I am absolutely convinced these people know nothing about coffee or what it should taste like, but aside from that things have gone too far! There are Oprah Chai lattes, not Oprah Chai lattes, double chocolate chip brownies, regular chocolate brownies, cake pops, wheat spinach savory turn overs, spinach feta wraps. At that I've gotten some stale things here and there which is just a big fat super ewww. Even when I do order a bakery item it's been wrong frequently because there are just too many items, and even the employees get confused. Also, I appreciate how some people who work from home may way to work in a quiet coffee house, or meet a business partner/friend, but some people straight up just drop there tweens/teens off here and let them be obnoxious, and it's just too much. In an era of trying to be a trendsetter they are failing. People are getting "back to basics", and realizing less is more so to say, and Starbucks is just making things too complicated. Like I've mentioned Starbucks has become the walmart of sorry bakery items and (faux) bourgeois beverages, and I just can't cope anymore. read more

I order from this Starbucks daily each morning. It always depends on who's on shift is my drink will be made as I ordered it. If you use the mobile app, you will most likely be requesting that they remake your drink. Certain baristas ignore your customizations (that you're charged extra for) and make the drink at its original recipe. They come off very impatient when you ask for it to be fixed. If there were another Starbucks in the area... I wouldn't bother going to this one. Or better yet I'll just stop drinking it all together. read more

I have never written a review before but I was so impressed by this place I had too! I love this location. When I walked in I saw ample seating with plenty wall outlets. There is also a wall of windows with bar height stools to sit and enjoy a cup, chat with friends or just enjoy some quiet online time. Biggest sitting area I have seen at any Starbucks location! Great atmosphere! As I approached the counter to order, the barista was so sweet and cheerful, she made me smile. All the staff here is very polite and cheerful. The parking is plentiful being that it's in a shopping center. I will definitely come back. read more

I just started working in the area and this is right around the corner. I forgot my wallet at home today and was relieved when I remembered I had apple pay. I ordered my coffee and bagel and my apple pay wasn't working for some reason.. I told the gentleman not to worry and he can just cancel my order. Instead, George, insisted on paying for my coffee and bagel and told me he hopes I have a wonderful day. The staff is so wonderful and friendly and courteous. George absolutely did not need to do that, but I'm so grateful for what he did. I will be sure to pay it forward. read more

Nasrim (manager) is the rudest women i've ever met. She treats her employees terrible (i've witnessed this) and i've never seen her smile. It's become a game to me - to go into starbucks and smile and tell her I hope she has a good day - basically to keep being nice just to see if I can get a smile out of her - or even a slight crack of one. She is rude to customers & acts annoyed when they ask for anything. I was behind her when a barista from another store came in to order, and she treated them like dirt - practically pissed that they'd have the audacity to come into her store. if it wasnt for the fact that I work next door and its the only starbucks I can walk to, I would never go back in the mornings when she works.
