Starbucks was never my go-to coffee, but I am SO grateful for this location and the coffee has really grown on me. So many things are closed on Sundays in walla walla, or don't open until mid morning and I can't count how many times this Starbucks has saved me! I've always had great customer service experience here and prompt correct orders. It's very clean and well decorated which makes it a fun place to come and hangout. I love the americanos with steamed soy milk, oat milk lattes, and the chocolate almond milk cold brews. I got my free birthday treat here this summer and EVERYONE said happy birthday to me and even wrote it on my birthday bagel. Made my day! I know I can always count on Main St. Starbucks for all of my caffeine needs :)

The Starbucks umbrella is not opening today 1-14-17. Inside is warm though.

I have been partaking in the Coffee Tasting Lesson with one of the Coffee Masters every Thursday evening for several weeks and really needed to write another review on this Starbucks. So, here it is. No, it isn't a locally owned place unless you count the fact that this Starbucks is in Washington state and the owner of Starbucks lived in Washington state at one time (maybe still does). Oh wait, I do believe it is locally owned, as long as some of the locals own shares, right? However, the baristas here do really give it that sense of a locally owned store. After all, aren't they "partners"? They do a great job of welcoming anyone and everyone here, including local teens who need a grande of ice water. I really love coming here for coffee and for my coffee lesson once a week. I've learned a lot about coffee and food pairing (who knew it was like wine?) and about the beans, reserves, all types of information that I know will come in handy in a trivia contest. The barista who offers these tastings is friendly, outgoing and knowledgeable. Thanks, downtown Starbucks, for offering these great coffee lessons and tastings!

The Christmas season draws to a close and this Starbucks continues to remain a 5-star establishment. The decor was upgraded in 2015 and although the comfy couch bit the dust, there are still two soft chairs that are sometimes empty and grabable (is that a word?). The baristas are still expert at making any Starbucks drink you want. They will check the quality of the shots before serving them. You can rely on full-bodied coffee flavor in your drink. If you are a regular, they will remember your drink and serve it to you with a smile and a brief comment about some relevant snippet. Even though this is a chain store, it still employs local people and thus contributes to the local economy. You will not go wrong if you try this Starbucks which is smack in the center of downtown.

The blandest, runniest oatmeal I've ever had from a Starbucks.

It was pretty busy inside, but after a bit we were able to order. I ordered an iced soy latte with a pump of almond. Also a regular iced latte. I also ordered a few pastries, the Kouign Amann, Almond Croissant, and Goat Cheese and Herb croissant. They unfortunately don't heat up any pastries which I wish they would because I do think it would make the pastries better. The Kouign was my favorite. It was crunchy and delicious and sweet, I would get again. The goat cheese croissant was pretty good but nothing too special. As for the Almond Croissant, I was very disappointed. It had hardly any almond filling, and there was no almond flavor. I wish they would put slivered almonds on it but it was completely lacking. I would skip the almond croissant completely. As for the coffee, I got a regular iced latte and a Soy almond latte. The coffee was not good at all and it makes me sad to say but after a few sips... I had to throw it away! I felt like it threw away $7. It was very watery and the syrup tasted off. This is usually my go-to at other shops but I just couldn't drink this at all. Overall it was cool to try a pastry or two but I wouldn't make another trip here.

We came here on a Sunday, and they do not do reservations so be prepared to wait some if you have a big party. However, for just 2 of us, we waited about 15minutes. This place is your classic cozy brunch spot. Lots of decor on the wall very much feels like a homey spot. Out wait staff was friendly and accommodating. They even helped us move to a larger table when they realized we ordered more food than would fit comfortably on the first table we were sat at. And on that note, the food portions are HUGE. We both ordered an entree of the Homestead benedict but then ordered the famous apple pancake to split. We definitely would have been fine splitting both dishes as the portions are super generous and we ended up having to box some for later. The apple pancake is massive, sweet and very tasty! It's closer to a cake than a pancake, just in thickness, but if you have a group of folks with a sweet tooth, I highly recommend getting this! Overall, this is a solid spot for brunch in Walla Walla!

Very happy to find a dedicated GF option place to eat. The Americano coffee was good. I had a…read moredouble Eggs Benedict It came with no sides or garnishes. You get two halves of a GF English Muffin. Each half was layered with wilted spinach, a thin slice of sandwich ham (you could see the dark of the spinach through the ham), a tomato slice, the poached egg. Both halves were then covered with hollandaise and a sprinkling of parsley. Flavor-wise it was just okay. Nothing to set it over the top one way or another. It was plated on to cold plates. I watched as my plate was assembled and then sat on the counter while a single Eggs Benedict was assembled and then a Mama's Muffin sandwich was assembled. I told my table mates my Benedict has been sitting there for several minutes and it's going to be cold. Sure enough it was delivered with cold hollandaise and Luke warm egg. I asked to have it popped in the microwave to heat it up because it was cold. I think she gave it 30 seconds and then served it stating any more time might "break" the sauce. So I ate a cold eggs Benedict. I ate all the first one (then remembered to take the picture) and then ate most of the second one. Timing for cooking needs to be addressed to ensure customers receive hot food. Maybe a plate warmer would help or just serve one at a time as the plates come up. Our final party member had to wait as his was served a few minutes after the rest of us. Again, this place has a great concept and if we were just getting coffees and pastry it would have been 5 stars but for the breakfast service, there were too many bumps for more than two.
