If you want great, freshly roasted coffee then you've come to the right place. We were told about this place by one of the wineries and they were spot on. Friendly people making killer coffee. Everything was reasonably priced as well. Walked out with a delicious drink and two bags of coffee.

One of my favorite coffee shops to visit; Especially if you are planning on dining in! The ambience is warming and clean. The staff have always been friendly and helpful. Furthermore, the coffee is excellent and consistent, at a fair price. I would recommend this coffee shop to all of my friends and family. You won't be disappointed!

That's so pretty I almost don't want to drink it!

Excellent coffee shop in Walla Walla! The place was very popular here and I can see why! The coffee drinks that we ordered were superb! Steve and I got Vanilla Latte's which were awesome and gave us enough of a caffeine kick to get our day started! As I said the place was popular therefore very busy! So we had a little bit of a wait on our hands but that was okay. The atmosphere is quaint and it's just a good place to chill out and relax.

First-time visitors to Walla Walla might make the false assumption that the best cup of coffee is to be found in the historic downtown district, among the higher end cafes, bars, hotels, bakeries, and tasting rooms. Except that they would be wrong. The best cup of coffee is to be found near the regional airport (the A Street Exit on Highway 12), in a warehouse district populated by many smaller winemakers, like Tamarack and Dunham Cellars, who make excellent wines despite operating from minimalist, rented facilities. So, too, the quality of coffee roasted here, using sustainable sources from South and Central America, Africa, and the Pacific. You can pick up bags of whole beans, both blends and single origins, or order espresso drinks or French Press coffee at the bar. Local baked goods from Wheatland Bakery are available in a self-service section to the left of the espresso machine, and you can enjoy your order inside or out, with complimentary customer wifi and ample parking next to a green, manicured lawn with chairs for relaxing in the sun. Note: For Twin Peaks fans, there is a dark coffee blend created in collaboration with actor, Kyle MacLachlan, and available for purchase. Kyle M. also makes a few Syrah-based wines at Dunham Cellars, which is a short walk or drive away, so you could possible visit both. Coffee, wine, and vintage 1990s pop culture: what's not to love? It is not terribly hard in the Pacific NW to find a good regional roaster based in a larger urban area who will ship you coffee beans, but my preference is to support local roasters who bring in green beans and prepare them on site. I don't think that the coffee served is always better than an "import," but you're more likely to find fresh, creatively blended beans for sale and get good local service, including possibly tips for other places of interest in the area. But if you're not feeling particularly sociable, you can grab a table, enjoy a good cappuccino and fresh scone, order a French Press cup of coffee for your personal travel mug, and get ready for the next stop of your journey: a winery in Walla Walla Valley, perhaps, or a new hiking trail in the Blue Mountains, or an especially pretty backroad that puts the beauty of the Palouse Hills in its proper panoramic perspective. Visiting a good local roaster like WWR is more than a caffeine refill or morning infusion of carbohydrates and steamed milk. It's about a brief encounter with a place that for many is a daily ritual, a respite from a long workday, a welcome break from hours of highway driving or long-haul trucking. Having a well made cup is part and parcel of that equation. By the time I left WWR that morning, I was refueled, rested, and had researched online my next few stops that day (wine tasting at Pepper Bridge, wool outlet shopping in Pendleton, rest stops in Prairie City, overnight camping in the Strawberry Mountains). A long day, to be sure, but made more enjoyable because of rejuvenating spots like this!

Located at the Walla Walla Municipal Airport, they came highly recommended by the locals. Glad we went. I had a mocha and it was one of the best I have ever had. My co-worker had a regular coffee and enjoyed it very much. If you have it there, it's served in ceramic coffee cups which is a nice touch.

At the hotel breakfast, I caught myself actually liking the drip coffee, so I asked about the source, and the said Walla Walla Roastery. Later that day, I was at a café and had an amazing cappuccino, and once again Walla Walla Roastery came up. Since they are closed on Sunday, I made sure that my plans had me stopping by the airport area of Walla Walla for a visit on my way home Monday morning, to see the source of such coffee greatness. The roaster looks like it is located in a converted home. To be cliché, it has a very homey feeling. It is understated, and simply about the coffee here, no trendy art, or fancy chocolates and pastries, just the beans. The inside is very small, just a couple of tables, I couldn't see myself hooking up my laptop and remaining for hours. They focus on micro-roasting, and everything is done on the premises. They are fair trade and all that good stuff. They utilize a beautiful machine, which I believe is a Marzocco. The espresso itself is amazing, you don't need to add anything, it's smooth and flavorful without any bitterness. I had a cappuccino to take away with me, and it was hard to put a lid on that thing, because they even do the coffee art well here.

The moment you walk in, you're hit with a neon glow that feels equal parts late-night hideout and upscale hangout. Teal and magenta lighting bounce off glossy floors, the bar is backlit like it's auditioning for a movie scene, and the whole place has that "we didn't try too hard, but somehow nailed it" vibe. It's modern, a little edgy, and surprisingly comfortable--like a lounge you'd expect in a bigger city, but without the attitude. The seating is intimate without being cramped, with cozy tables tucked behind decorative partitions that make it feel semi-private without cutting you off from the energy of the room. You can sit back, relax, and either have a quiet conversation or just people-watch while sipping something strong and well-made. And speaking of sipping... the bar doesn't mess around. Cocktails, wine, beer--whatever your mood is, they've got you covered. It's the kind of place where you might plan to have one drink and accidentally stay for three because the atmosphere refuses to let you leave early. Then there's the food, which punches way above "bar snacks." Street tacos that actually taste like they belong on a food truck with a line out the door, turkey cranberry sandwiches that somehow feel both comfort-food and gourmet at the same time--it's the kind of menu that makes you rethink your "I'll just grab a quick drink" strategy. Bottom line: it's cool without trying, stylish without being pretentious, and the kind of place you'll want to bring friends to... mostly so you can act like you discovered it first.

...I tried *so hard* to like this place. The coffee is pretty good, I'll give them that, but they…read moreovercharge for everything in my opinion and what is a $7.75 coffee drink at my favorite Tri-Cities coffee shop cost about $11.00 at Peacock. A bigger issue, though, is service and just the basics of running a business. I've visited the new location three times now. The first time, I looked up the hours online, showed up about 10 minutes after opening time and the door was locked, no sign of life inside. I had planned to grab a coffee, open my laptop, and get some work done. I called the number listed, got no answer. Decided to run an errand I didn't really need to run, came back an hour later and they were open. I asked the owner about missing the open time posted on the website, on social medial, on Google, and on the door...I was told that the hours posted are pretty much just when they *try* to be there. Not a hint of apology for my inconvenience. Just an extremely defiant attitude that gave vibes of it being my fault for expecting them to be open during their own posted hours of operation. Off-putting, but I grabbed a coffee anyway and pulled up my laptop, tried to log in to wifi and appeared to be greeted with a pay site for wifi. I wasn't *about* to have another conversation with a surly owner, so I drank my coffee (again, decent coffee, no complaints there other than the cost) and I left. Stopped by one other time well within hours, met a friend for a quick coffee & chat, uneventful and unmemorable other than, again, a pretty curt and unfriendly interaction with the owner. Tried ONE MORE TIME, yesterday, ordered my seven-dollar coffee which I paid eleven dollars for (more after a tip, which I just do for karma reasons) and had the usual awkward and unpleasant chatter with the owner. Asked about wifi, was told it's free for customers, got the password, but he said "Unless it's down...it was yesterday." I asked if he could check on that. Took my coffee, sat down, opened my laptop, and yes, wifi was up, but no, it had no internet connection. I approached the counter, asked (again) if he could maybe reboot the router, whatever, see if internet would come back online. He told me flat-out that no, he wasn't going to do that, he'd talked to tech support and they hadn't called him back yet. Again...ZERO apology for the inconvenience, just a tone of annoyance that I was even bothering him about it. I'm done. The place looks nice, it's not far from home, and the coffee, while priced way over the competition, is not bad. But good LORD, I cannot with the constant rude, dismissive, entitled behavior of the owner. The exact antithesis of what a neighborhood coffeeshop vibe ought to be. If you visit, good luck to you. Bring your wallet and your willingness to spend too much, and your thickest skin, and be prepared for a hostile grip of attitude from the owner. Maybe some people are into that, I don't know, but I won't be darkening that door again.
