Other places like the Human Bean and Hot Mama's can't seem to get their shots of espresso right consistently and you can taste the bitterness of an over-roasted shot. Enter Coffee Cravings who DOES get it right and on a consistent basis. It's because of this that they are now my go-to shop. The baristas here are also rock stars. They're super genuine, friendly, and provide the best service. They also serve up your drinks super fast. Again, human bean and hot mama's can take a long time to get your drinks out and even just one or two cars ahead of you can take quite a bit of time. But here at Coffee Cravings, they are able to move two or three cars in front of me through with speed and ease. Even when there looks to be a long line of cars, it goes by quicker than at other shops. My go-to drinks here are their white chocolate OR hazlenut granitas with a shot of espresso added, or their black tea. I definitely recommend giving this place a try if you're looking for your drinks to be made consistently good.

It was crunchy and delicious and sweet, I would get again. The goat cheese croissant was pretty good but nothing too special. As for the Almond Croissant, I was very disappointed. It had hardly any almond filling, and there was no almond flavor. I wish they would put slivered almonds on it but it was completely lacking. I would skip the almond croissant completely. As for the coffee, I got a regular iced latte and a Soy almond latte. The coffee was not good at all and it makes me sad to say but after a few sips... I had to throw it away! I felt like it threw away $7. It was very watery and the syrup tasted off. This is usually my go-to at other shops but I just couldn't drink this at all. I have grown weary of the very dark and sometimes bitter roasted beans from major chains. My daughter did visit Rey's and turned me onto them last year. I have tried 6 different roasts now, all either medium or medium dark roast and am loving the broad flavor profile vs. what I've been used to. So I have been enjoying her beans in my french press at home for 4 months, just ordered 4 more pounds, and will continue to look forward to visiting Rey in Dayton soon.
