Crazy house is more like it…read more I have never seen more foot traffic in a place than here. They're doing something right. First of all the presentation of all the food was just spectacular. Service was outstanding. I sat with family and enjoyed a simple tea and toast today. My sister-in-law order the Matcha with blueberry, she let me grab a sip and it was very refreshing, perfectly balanced blueberry, it was sweet but not too sweet paired with the Matcha tea. Not only delicious but very pleasing to the eye it's beautifully displayed in their clear cup. This place feels upscale, trendy. The food options are plentiful. Can't wait to return. It's a place to stop in and check out.

I thought it would be dead, but to my surprise it was still pretty busy! Its a small little place, but still a few options to sit down and eat or just sip your java. Bonus points for excellent music choice, very indie singer/songwriter style that made for a nice relaxing atmosphere. Starting with the reason you're probably going here, the coffee. I got a peanut butter latte, and my girlfriend got one of their winter seasonal choices in the ginger bread latte. both served hot. The PB was very smooth and lightly sweet, but the ginger bread one in my opinion takes home the trophy this time. As for lunch we did their sandwich/wrap and a salad combo, which as far as I am concerned is the best deal I've ever seen, Panera eat your heart out. I got the buffalo chicken wrap with a side caesar salad, and my girlfriend got the fig & brie sandwich, with a side peach and avocado salad. The buffalo wrap was nice and light with grilled chicken and a buffalo sauce that seemed almost more like a vinaigrette and the caesar was about as classic as it gets. The fig and brie was an unexpected plus for me and eats almost like a caprese sandwich, while the peach and avocado salad was super fresh, fruit in salad doesn't quite do it for me personally, so we split the trophy for our lunches. My only "major" downside is that the food is served on wooden paddles, I personally like a plate, but that is more of me just being a nit-picker more than anything else. Parking is pretty ample with spots both in the front and the back of the attached lot, but be careful when you're pulling up the first time, you're bound to miss it, I know I almost did!

Came to try out the new ice cream place and it was pretty good. There is a LARGE selection of ice…read morecream to choose from and the menu is large and very easy to read. In addition to just regular ice cream, they offer crepes with or without ice cream and waffle boats and waffle yachts. A waffle boat is essentially 2 fresh made waffles with a scoop of ice cream and your choice of topping and a waffle yacht is 4 fresh made waffles with 2 scoops of ice cream. My husband and daughter got the waffle boat while I got the waffle yacht (because I am a Queen and demand the fanciest of items). I had vanilla ice cream with cookie butter sauce and crushed biscoff cookies on top and whipped cream. They use actual real whipped cream from the can not like cool whip or dairy topping and the waffles are made pretty much on demand. This combination was absolutely dynamite and I recommend it to anyone and everyone. The ice cream was rich and delicious and did not melt instantly even though it was next to freshly made waffles. The scoops were a great size and the toppings were premium. The waffles are very dense (almost like the density of a zeppole) and are like a log shape. Different that what I am used to but very, very delicious. My petty grievances: the waffles are so thick you really need to be able to cut them with a knife but there were only forks available. The packaging is a large plastic container regardless of if you are eating there or taking it to go and overall as a vessel it is too large for the product. Also, if you close the lid with fresh baked waffles, condensation is going to form and melt the ice cream quicker. I had the employee leave mine open for this reason but we also dined in. Last but not least, the waffle to ice cream ratio is off. For 4 waffles, you need more ice cream. It should be more like 2 waffles 2 scoops of ice cream in a boat and 4 waffles and 3-4 scoops of ice cream in a yacht for optimal ice cream to waffle ratio. Petty grievances aside, I will absolutely be back all summer long because the ice cream was great. They also have a coffee shop inside the same location so you can get caffeinated as well before or after your ice cream adventures.

The prices for the coffees are comparable to other corporate coffee companies but it's still not for me. However they did it, the space feels roomier with more seating options. The coffee is very good, they have a very diverse coffee menu including espresso drinks, regular and cold brew options. They offer a variety of fresh baked goods, wraps and breakfast sandwiches. Get there early for the breakfast sandwiches, as the need to be reheated in microwave later in the day. The staff is friendly and accommodating, but the lines can be long as the espresso machines are manual, producing a superior product in comparison to the national chain, but it can take some time when people are ordering Carmel Latte's and other specialized drinks in front of you. Sayville is lucky to have two independent coffee shops. I always prefer locally owned and managed. Give them a try, even if line appears long they manage to move people through fairly quickly.
