I used to love coming here. I would stop every morning. I became a gold card member back in 2015 because of this location. Overall, Starbucks as a whole has gone downhill. The drinks are so bland and the options and flavors are so limited. However, this location has also gone downhill. I stopped the other afternoon around 3:30 to grab a drink. The line for the drive through wasn't hardly moving so I made a mobile order in line and by the time I arrived at the speaker, my order was ready at the window. Which had to wait for. When I got it, I had ordered no whipped cream and they put it anyways. Then she acted surprised at the window and tried to giggle it off. Knowing that they simply knock it off the top and put a new lid on, I told the girl to just leave it. Then it took even more time to find the cake pop I ordered. She walked all around looking for it. Like where did it walk off to? The drink sat so long because the line was so slow, the bottom was melted and just straight liquid. The cake pop was decent but so overpriced for what it is. I wouldn't go back, but I was gifted almost $100 in gift cards for teacher appreciation, so I will return here or use them at another location. read more

Starbucks was not my first choice but I had an early start today and at 5:45am, this was the only coffee shop open. I would have preferred a local coffee shop but Sunday morning, none were open. I stopped here for an hour to get my dose of caffeine, recharge electronics, update maps on their wifi and basically wake up. The shop was clean, it was quiet and the crew made my coffee - a tall blonde with cream - perfectly fine. The seating was comfortable and there was a steady flow of customers this morning to keep me entertained while I did my thing. Summary: I've visited this location a couple of times when in the area, and I've found the service is solid, but nothing special. The baristas appear to be a heads down and get the orders filled type of crew. My drink orders have been made without any problems. Other: The store sits on the corner of the busy Jonestown Rd and Hanes Mall Blvd intersection by the US Highway 421 off-ramp. So far, I've not experienced any difficulty with driving to out of their parking lot. Plenty of seating is located both inside and outside. read more

Unfortunately once we got to the window, we found out that they had run out of protein milk and could not make the second drink. Stopped by Starbucks and grabbed a nondairy vanilla cold brew along with the bacon & cheese Gouda sandwich. The cold brew was smooth and not too sweet, which I appreciated, and the nondairy option tasted great. The sandwich was warm, filling, and hit the spot, nice balance of bacon and creamy Gouda. Solid choice for a quick breakfast or coffee run. Would definitely order this combo again. Starbucks will always be a go to when I need a nondairy coffee. read more

I have been frequenting this Starbucks for years primarily because their baristas make a great beverage and don't skimp on filling the cup full. I like lattes and flat whites the most, lots of creamy goodness. I've been to some where its all foam and very little coffee only filling the cup at 3/4 full. Right now they are making the delicious Holiday drinks. The Carmel Brulee, peppermint and the Praline latte. I love the Praline it is perfectly sweet and creamy and doesn't need any additional sweetness. If you're in a hurry they have a drive up window, counter service and pickup and if you have more time a nice patio facing the sun w ample amt of tables to work or lounge outside and get some Vitamin D custody of the sunshine. read more

This store seems to have its hits AND misses, so let's discuss the miss I had today. I ordered a frapp and received a second one by accident, thus getting it free which normally is a good thing for most people, except the second one they gave me was quite messy. By that I mean there was an excess amount of coffee beneath the lid, making it extremely difficult to put it on properly. Upon leaving I had a rough time getting it on the cup and as a result my car and clothes got messy. So it's sort of a double edge. On the one hand I like how I received something free if only by accident, on the other I would have just as easily preferred if I didn't get it altogether if I had known that someone was going to do the job half assed. read more

So I should probably finally review this location. It's one of the nicer locations for Starbucks with generally prompt service and an easy to navigate drive-thru. Everything is usually clean and there's a nice outdoor area for seating. On occasion I have come in here and head to wait a bit too long or had them not have received my order right from the mobile app. It has only happened a few times though, and they've always been friendly and apologetic about it. But here the service is fast and perfectly done 90% of the time. Admittedly, I come here far too often probably. But it has just become a guilty pleasure. I hadn't thought I would become one of those people always paying for Starbucks. Though I don't do it DAILY either. Even when I can just get coffee back at the office, it feels like a treat to indulge in every now and then. read more

My manager at work swung by this location and grabbed drinks for us all. I decided to go with the Smores Frap (since I didn't get one this weekend). Maybe I am being too critical, but after a mishap at a Starbucks over the weekend, my attention to detail, the price we have to pay for these drinks, shouldn't they be made correctly? I know that the finished product may not look "exactly" like the advertised product but shouldn't it at least include all the ingredients? My Smores Frap was missing the crunchy topping. Average Starbucks. With that comes average Starbucks coffee. Their coffee is mediocre at best. Rather expensive for the quality of coffee served. This is my least favorite choice of coffee establishments but the only one convenient when traveling south on 421. Large parking area. Plenty of room for the drive thru line. From visiting the various Starbucks in Statesville, Clemmons and several in Winston-Salem, in general I have found the ones in Winston-Salem to be more consistent in quality and service. The stand alone stores seem to do the best. The ones in Target, and Harris Teeters are for some reason seem to deviate from how the stand alone stores do things. Being a gold card member for years I expect consistency in the products I purchase and the honoring of my card. For this reason I now go to the stand alone stores exclusively. read more

I love this Starbucks! It is conveniently located near my residence and the staff are always super friendly and the restaurant is always very clean. They are typically very busy and the drive-through can fill up pretty fast, but the line goes down pretty quick. I highly recommend and will be back again very very soon! read more

The drive through​ was slow, but we had time to wait, so we did. The cashier was very pleasant, which nullified the wait. Who doesn't like Starbucks when you want a refreshing hot or cool drink. The location is easily accessible from the highway. I ordered the blueberry oatmeal. It came with nuts on top and two packs of syrup to sweeten it up. I didn't need the sweetener​ but added a bit after eating half of the cup. It definitely made it sweet but I had all that I needed for a quick​ nutritious meal. I went to this Starbucks today to study. I was so disgusted with the cleanliness of this place. A majority of the tables looked like they hadn't been cleaned off in days. The floors looked the same. As I walked up to the counter to order, I looked in the food case to see what treat I wanted. There were fruit flies flying around and sitting on the food, thankfully the food is wrapped and those are not the actual items that are being served. I asked the cashier if she could wipe off the table so I could sit at it. I walked over to grab some napkins and saw the trashcans overflowing with trash that looks like people brought in from outside. There was a caution sign on the floor with coffee spilt and partially dried. It had definitely been there for over an hour. I went to pick up my drink that was made quickly (only reason I gave them 2 stars). The counter where the drink pick up is was filthy. The mats that the drinks sit on also looked like they hadn't been cleaned off in days. I usually only go through the drive through at this location. This is the location closest to my house, but I will definitely be switching to the other 3 that are on my drive into work or within a 10 minute drive of my house. I ordered the same drink -double, tall, dry cappuccino- without any questions the barista prepared the perfect dry cappuccino. I like this Starbucks. It's fairly large inside, with a bit of a weird set up, but overall nice. The remodel looks nice on them. They serve great drinks and are usually clean and well stocked. The employees are always kind, but often forget to look up to see if there are customers waiting in the cafe. That's always an after effect of going to a drive-thru Starbucks. I frequent this one a lot because of it's proximity to my job. I definitely suggest coming to get a coffee and relaxing outside on the patio. It's much more spacious than the inside. read more

This is the closest Starbucks to my house, so I've really tried to make it work. No one has ever been rude to me, customer service is great. The only issue is that at least every other time I go, they make the wrong drink. Last time it was a mobile order that was made incorrectly, this time it was a drive thru order. Both of these times the drinks that were remade were also incorrect! A few weeks ago I placed a mobile order for a sandwich and waited 15 minutes, only to find out that they were out of the sandwich. The coffee here is five stars as all of the Starbucks I have been in. This is more or less a review of the store and its location. It is on Hanes Mall Blvd and is somewhat of a nightmare to get to. It is much easier to go 50 yards up to the Barnes and Noble and get your all your coffee goodness from the Starbucks inside the bookstore. I tend to stop by this Starbucks fairly often, either on my way to or from shopping on Hanes Mall Boulevard or going home from my gym, which is right down Jonestown Road from this location. There is a drive-thru, which is convenient; however, I often go inside because the drive-thru line is usually really long. The staff at this Starbucks are usually pretty friendly. I find the layout of this location really challenging...not much sitting area due to the long, narrow design of the store. Overview: This is a full-size Starbucks with a drive-thru located on the corner of Jonestown and Hanes Mall Blvd next to the Arby's. The Establishment: One-story, medium sized Starbucks. No fancy lounge area or a balcony area. Plenty of patio seating outside though you'd basically be overlooking Jonestown Rd. Lots of brew-it-yourself options with both K-Cups, unground beans and mugs for sale as you wait in line. Well staffed. The Food: Starbucks has excellent quality control in my opinion and I absolutely love their blended frap drinks, especially the Java Chip. Great texture, great coffee smell, strong cocoa flavors, and a strong sweet flavor blended in commercial Vitamix blenders. That being said, I think their teas and standard coffees are a bit of a rip-off as they seem to be the same drip coffee or tea-bag steeped tea I could make at home. The baristas here are always willing to customize your order, though you will pay a 60cent+ upcharge for soy-milk or even more for extra shots. Expect to pay ~$5.50 (as of early 2015) for a 24oz blended drink. The Service: This is not like Chicago where you call out your order as you walk into the coffee shop. That being said, the lines are never more than 3-4 people long when I come here and the staff seem polite and quick. I absolutely love how you can pay using their Starbucks app. Conclusions: This is an average sized Starbucks with a drive-thru option that offers the same quality blended drinks and pastries as every other Starbucks. I may be under-rating it due to my dislike for these "premium" coffee franchises though I must admit Starbucks' quality control is truly excellent. read more

Starbucks is on my mind. I just visited my friendly store on Jonestown Road and had an unusual experience. Now keep in mind that I fully understand that if this is the worst thing that happens to me today, it'll be a pretty damn good day. But for a company that prides itself on customer service, um, no. I walked up to the counter and a partner asked "What can I get for you?" I told him my first item and he turned as if to get it. To my surprise, he grabbed a drink and walked to the end of the counter and handed it to another customer. No big deal, but a bit odd. Then he blew past me, only a blur, saying "I'll be right with you" as I watched his vapor trail disappear into what I can only call the kitchen. At this point, I was miffed, and I left before I said something ugly. I suppose I should have asked to talk to the manager, but alas, he is the manager. Good job Greg. Good job. read more
