Never once have my bugs been completely eradicated since I first started using their services in January. I gave them the whole year before leaving this review, though I certainly regret getting the year long plan. And when I tell them the bugs are still there, they do re-treat it, but they never actually customize the treatment - same product, same dosage, every time. Never remove cobwebs or spider nests, never completely have rid of us ants or wasps. Bad communicators who don't come in the agreed time window, half the time the tech doesn't ring the doorbell and later texts me he's done when I never knew he was there. And when I began to have a problem with rats (their rat bait didn't work), they took three days to come out and FORGOT THAT THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO TREAT FOR RATS in my attic, instead merely refilling their useless rat bait and spraying the outside without ringing the doorbell. read more

A family member was surprised by small winged insects in their house. They called StarBugs. Chris, the owner, had someone over within a couple hours (on a Friday afternoon). Cameron came and was earlier than I was told (Chris knew someone was wanted ASAP). He determined it was termites swarming. He didn't try to upsell. Said he could treat it locally then for us to watch to see if they were showing up anywhere else after 2 weeks. My family member agreed. All went well. Chris and Cameron were both top notch. If I can give them zero stars I would. This is one of the worst companies I've had to deal with. They are rude and do not take accountability for their mistakes. You reschedule me 3 times but tell me it wasn't you. The 3rd time I was rescheduled I was not notified of the date. I had to contact them and they proceed to argue with me. Very unprofessional. These people are very dishonest. I agree. They said they treated the whole house and there was all the the pests still thriving. When I called them, they told me they wouldn't want client like me. I went with Orkin. I wanted to report thinking that an owner would address, but no. They didn't even apologize. They are no good. Go with Orkin or other honest companies. After our home warranty company sent out a company(not StarBugs) to spray indoors and check for mice I was left with 3 different quotes totaling to right under 8k. The tech came in, sprayed a few areas that we weren't even having issues in, and said we had rats and other large wildlife in our attic. He said we needed all of these insanely expensive services to fix our problem. When I showed disbelief over the price he instantly went into his sales pitch, recommended that I do a financing plan, and then wanted to call right away to see if we were approved. It was absolutely insane. I called Kris right away and he instantly told me there was no way all of those services were necessary. He scheduled a walk through the next afternoon. His son Kameron showed up right on time and was extremely knowledgeable and honest. He walked me through my attic and showed me that we did indeed have roof rats but there weren't any signs of other critters. He talked me through my options and I made a decision right away. The process was a complete 180 compared to the sales pitch and fear mongering that I experience with the other company. After it was all said and done I didn't need to spend thousands of dollars, it was actually under $100. I'm thankful for Kris and his family for going out of their way to take care of mine. read more

I have never been more disappointed in the lack of service from any company. I called three times over the span of a week & a half, and I got the voicemail every time. Every time, I left a voicemail. I've never heard anything back from them and I've literally left everything but my social security number & credit card number. Complete & utter absence of customer care from these guys. It's like they don't want another customer. Either way, I'm taking my business elsewhere. If I have to wait longer than this just to get a return phone call to schedule some business, I don't even want to imagine how long I'll have to actually wait to get the service. First impressions are everything and their first impression was awesome. We have had a lot of rain so it was a back and forth to get them out, but their communication was spot on as was their flexibility with my crazy schedule. Kris was always available to answer questions. The service was very reasonable and they also have lawn services which I was excited about. Signed up for that same day as my pest treatment. I rent my home so I just need something that works not the hard sell of all the other lawn services with a million calls to pressure you. I am going to upgrade to a 5 star. We've had a bad time with fleas this year. I was holding off on getting the vegetable garden area treated, but finally capitulated on that note. I'm the one in the garden and I think the fleas were hiding in that safe zone as I wouldn't let them spray near the vegetables. That comprises almost 1/2 of our small back yard. This is the third trip out here and it is still under the warranty and cost from the first trip. I'm impressed with the timeliness of the service, friendliness, and the honoring of the warranty. I figured on this last trip I would have to pay something, as he hadn't treated much inside the house. I mistakenly thought we had treated inside, but we hadn't. So he also treated the inside and got the entire outside, including the garden I've now given up on. That is three visits now. Very friendly each time and seems eager to return until the problem is resolved without asking for any additional money. Has been spot on time every time and I have to say I'm impressed. They are fair and kind and genuine. 4. I was two days from delivering our third child when we found signs of a mouse in our pantry. I called and they came out that night and left us with glue traps and tried to take care of the situation AND they refused to take payment for doing it even though I didn't have a rodent contract with them.
