After having my son at Starcrest daycare for 2 years and my daughter for 1 year, I can confidently say this has been one of the best decisions we've made for our family. What makes Starcrest daycare so special is that it's a home-based daycare run by highly experienced teachers with prior experience from Action Day, bringing the structure and curriculum of a larger preschool into a warm, family-like environment. The low teacher-to-child ratio (only 4-5 children in the preschool class and around 7 in the younger class) means every child receives plenty of individual attention. The teachers are incredibly loving, patient, and genuinely care for the children as if they were their own. My son started daycare as a very shy child who struggled with social anxiety, adapting to changes, and developing independence skills. With the teachers' patience, encouragement, and support, I've watched him grow tremendously in confidence. He now participates much more in activities, interacts with other children, and navigates transitions with far greater ease. My daughter was a very late walker, and even though caring for a child who wasn't yet walking required extra effort, the teachers were always patient, encouraging, and willing to help her every day. They truly went above and beyond for both of my children. They have an engaging and thoughtfully planned curriculum with weekly themes, crafts, sensory play, music, and early learning. My son learned tracing, letters, numbers, shapes, days of the week, and even spelling simple 3- to 5-letter words. They also make so many fun theme and activity days - Disney, camping adventures, splash pads, water tables, inflatable pools, jump houses, chef and cooking days, smoothie making, slime play, car washes, holiday celebrations, parades, and the most adorable Mother's/Father's Day keepsakes. Another thing we absolutely love is the food. The children are served healthy, home-cooked meals with plenty of variety, including lentil/bean soups, quesadillas, fish, and much more. They also serve two snacks each day. What touched us the most was how accommodating they were with our family's dietary needs. Whenever chicken or beef meatballs were on the menu, they would thoughtfully purchase halal meat specifically for my children. That level of care meant so much to our family. They also make kids birthdays extra special with homemade muffins, balloons, and thoughtful celebrations that make each child feel truly special. Communication is excellent through the Lillio app, daily messages, and photos, so we always know how our children's day went. Most importantly, this daycare truly feels like family. Our son has been attending Starcrest Daycare for nearly 1.5 years now, and we are so happy with our experience. We were previously at a big childcare center nearby, but are grateful to have found a smaller and more intimate environment for our son at Starcrest. The teachers (Ms. Simin, Ms. Soledad, Ms. Isleny, and Ms. Haleh) are really the stars of the show. I can feel their genuine care and love every time I pick up my son at the end of the day. He loves talking about his teachers at home and all the activities they do with lots of sensory play (bubbles, shaving cream, finger painting, play doh, water play during the summer, music, dancing, parachute, and more). I honestly think he benefits a ton from being in a mixed age group as he started off as one of the younger children, and seems to learn so much socially and intellectually from the older kids! The cherry on top for busy parents is that Ms. Simin makes a variety of healthy, home cooked meals, that my kid chows down--a fact I see with my own eyes when I logged into the private livestream of the daycare room. They stay in touch with daily photos via a group text message, and also update a tracking app (Lillio/HiMama) with foods and diaper changes. Not to mention, this home daycare has two well maintained indoor classrooms (one for older kids, one for younger kids), plus a beautiful fenced outdoor backyard with turf and a playground for all the kids to get their wiggles out. My son loves riding the tricycles in the yard, and he has learned to keep the toys neat and tidy as all the children learn where to park their vehicles when they're done playing. We feel incredibly grateful to have found Starcrest Daycare. Our daughter started here when she was just 8 months old, now she's 3 years old, thriving, and still just as excited to go every day. As parents, leaving your child in someone else's care can be difficult, but from day one, Starcrest gave us peace of mind and confidence that she was in the best hands. The environment is always clean, warm, and inviting. The staff is exceptional Miss Simin, Miss Haleh and Miss Soledad have all played such a big part in our daughter's growth and happiness. She talks about them with so much love and excitement, and it's clear she feels safe, cared for, and genuinely happy there. The curriculum is thoughtful and engaging. We've seen our daughter learn so much, from early vocabulary and songs to social skills and routines. The daycare does a wonderful job of blending learning with play in a way that's developmentally appropriate and fun. One of the things we appreciate most is the excellent communication. We receive photos of our daughter almost daily, which brightens our day and helps us feel connected to what she's experiencing. You can also log into the daycare's webcam to check in live, which brings so much peace of mind. On top of that, they're very responsive and easy to reach via text we've always felt supported and heard whenever we had a question or needed to check in. We have been sending our 3-almost-4 year-old son to this daycare for two years now and couldn't be happier with the care he receives. The staff Ms. Simin, Ms. Haleh, and Ms. Soledad are friendly and work effectively with parents to address concerns. My daughter has been going to Starcrest for over a month and we couldn't be happier! It was her first time at a full time daycare so her first days were a little rough but Ms. Simin and Ms. Haleh were so welcoming and knew exactly what to do in that situation. I contacted Ms. Haleh to requested a tour and we were able to schedule one for the next day and we were able to enroll my daughter just a couple weeks later. They use an app for the daily reports which is super easy to navigate. They serve breakfast, lunch and snacks and we can see what was served through the app. The food always looks yummy! I love the fact the we have access to their webcam so we can check on the kids throughout the day and I really appreciate all the pictures they send daily. Every morning my daughter is super excited to see her friends which she already knows all their names. She has learned so much since she stared at Starcrest, she's doing well with numbers, colors and has learned a lot of new words, songs and dances. Their outdoor space is great with fun toys, they sometimes have lunch/ snacks outside and water day when the weather permits. My baby boy has been going to Starcrest for almost two months now. He started when he's just three months. We instantly knew this is the right place for our little baby. They have a separate room just for infant. Ms. Haleh and Ms. Simin both were very welcoming and friendly. The place is so clean and bright. They have an app that tracks the daily report and also a live webcam where parents can see their kids. Ms.Haleh and Ms. Simin are really good at communicating their concerns to us and also very accommodating. All and all, we strongly recommend Starcrest. This is a review for Ms. Simin who was one of the daycare providers for both of my sons when they attended Action Day on Lincoln. Both of my sons (who attended separately) really loved Ms. Simin. She would warmly greet us, and made sure to look out for them all day. Both of my sons have their own personality- my older son is very outgoing while my younger son is more reserved and shy. My younger son would always hug Ms. Simin and smile as soon as he saw her. As a parent choosing the right day care is such a difficult position because you are trusting someone else to care for your child. Without hesitation I recommend Ms. Simin. Knowing that my kids were cared for while they were away from me during the day made it easier for me to leave my kids at day care. read more

Would recommend 10/10! Ms. Haleh and Ms. Simin and all the staff are very good and very welcoming! They have a schedule that they follow, activities for the kiddos and the house is spotless clean! They also have a live camera so parents can view their kids which is really good and they have an app for parents to view daily reports. I have an 11 month old daughter and she loves it there, didn't even cry on her first day :) My husband and I are very happy to have found this daycare that we can trust our baby with. I happened to see a sponsored ad for this place and I'm so glad I clicked on it! I requested a tour for their open house and they responded promptly. From the moment we step foot into their home (a brand new facility), we were welcomed with so much love - I could already see the compassion and warm spirit that Ms. Simin and Ms. Haleh embody. My kiddo has been attending Starcrest for over a month now and she is so incredibly happy, is speaking a lot more, and knows her colors and how to count. We toured many at-home facilities, and just recently unenrolled from a very well known childcare facility, and we are so impressed with the hands-on, play-based curriculum. The kids also do a lot of artwork and painting projects. Other things we love - organic foods are served, we get lots of pictures daily and have access to a webcam for peace of mind. The previous facility we attended didn't offer that. They clean and sanitize everything at the end of the day, and send us a report of eats, drinks, and how my kid's day went. Ms. Simin was my girls' preschool teacher for over 4 years. She is warm, nurturing, and loving with her students. She manages difficult behavior in a firm but gentle manner. She helped teach my girls their alphabets and everything else needed to prepare them for elementary school in a fun and playful way. My Wife and I enrolled our son in Starcrest Daycare after we had issues with our nanny. Positives of Starcrest Daycare include a very strict schedule, a clean house and property, and healthy nutritious foods. We ran into issues with Starcrest Daycare when they accused our son of scratching another child. They only gave our son 1-2 days to adjust to the new environment and stated that he was aggressive and played rough with the other children. They stated that he was a "liability" and that we needed to pick him up immediately. 2 minutes later they refunded all our money back. My wife started a new job that week and thankfully we have wonderful neighbors who looked after him. If Ms. Simin and Ms. Haleh would have told us in in person that they felt my son wasn't a good fit, we would have placed him somewhere else. Very unprofessional to demand your child be picked up at 1115AM after only two days and refund all your money back without any in person explanation. read more
