Coming in after the dinner rush, the dining room was still showing battle scars from the clearly busy dinner crowd, but the staff was friendly and accommodating. Menu was small, but offered enough variety. I opted for a caesar salad, adding chicken. Salad was delicious and clearly used all fresh ingredients. Being a party of one, rather than take up a table I sat at the bar. Bartender was very friendly and helped offered tips for things to do while I was in town. Would recommend!

Here are some good things to share: the cabins were small but clean and it was stocked with everything you might need, the lake view was amazing, the swimming hole and beach looked like fun and there was a nice view of the lake from the deck, the selection of non-motorized water crafts were pretty great ... a nice value for my money. Under different circumstances, the family and manager appear to be colorful people! Also, the addition of Blue, the resident eaglet, was a welcome curiosity that added a surprising twist to our weekend. I hope him well in his eagle upbringing. I hate to leave this review. But my husband, children and I were at the resort looking for some peace and quiet. We had come from a funeral and we all need some time to get away from the stress of everyday life. The family that runs it must live near one end where you can see piles of stuff all over.
