This place is weird in a good way; reminds me of one of those inns you'd pass on some middle-of-nowhere desert drive. Rooms are small but cleaner than Motel 6 by far! And that includes their smoking rooms. Only complaints: no hairdryer and the bathtub is not functional aka bring your own tub-stopper. Also make sure you bring $20 CASH for the deposit - you get it back at checkout, but it has to be cash.

If you're fast, cheap, and trashy then this just might be the place for you. But in all seriousness-- Do not stay here. This place is pure trash, actually worse than trash. Smells like an ashtray from just a few feet away. Filled with bugs and roaches such as the manager woman who is always on the phone making people wait in the lobby for help. Once she's done off the phone she treats guests in a completely rude manner like we're bothering her. Ive been here twice and both times I have experienced this with her. The manager dude is a little nicer but seems like they have a problem with us . There's a NO VISITORS Policy which yeah I get it but do something about the shady people always hanging around the rooms and parking lot who I know did not book a room because it doesn't look like they own a car let alone a credit card. And do something about the creepy, crawling visitors under the bed and in the tub. I've attached pics to confirm. I would recommend a whole revamp which Im sure they can afford and ON SITE SECURITY. Just clean the place up a bit. You guys have no business to be looking this tore up. The neighboring buildings don't look like Beverly Hills or anything but they have a decent upkeep. Until a whole makeover happens or new management takes over then I will not be staying here. Think about the single mothers who need to get away from their physically abusive partners or if a person just wants to clear their mind alone and maybe shag a few fellas they should be able to do it somewhere comfortable, affordable, and SAFE. The star lite inn AIN'T IT. One star Hotel. I'll say 1 1/2 cuz they do have affordable prices...But will not be getting any more of my coin!

    There's soda on the walls

This place is terrible! 1st thing it cost 120.00 a night! The minute I arrived to check in there was a man screaming at the clerk to open someone's door. Kept saying he was going to kick the door down. Then I was told I needed to pay 20 IN CASH for security deposit. IN CASH! Nothing fishy there right? The floors are really uncomfortable as they are cheap tile. The bed feels like I'm sleeping on springs. There was 3 light bulbs that were burnt out and the room very dimly lit. The shower curtain was falling off the wall. The room was creepy! Also dirty. Now I'd understand if was paying $60, but not $120! JUST GO TO THE NEXT MOTEL. Trust me!

DO NOT STAY HERE. My girlfriend and I checked in and we stayed in the room for about 10 minutes before requesting a refund. The room was the size of a walk-in closet, the mattresses were rock-hard, there were cigarette burns EVERYWHERE, peeling paint, stained curtains, and even a baby's pacifier behind one of the beds in CLEAR VIEW. And the worst part? There was a long black hair in the bathtub. It's like they didn't even clean the room. Not to mention, the guy at the desk absolutely berated my gf and told her that maybe she shouldn't have chosen a smoking room... even though it was never mentioned in the booking that the room was a smoking room. Just whatever you do, DO NOT STAY HERE! It's absolute disgusting. We were there for about 10 minutes and decided we were not gonna stay in some motel where we were more likely to get COVID there than at a hospital. After leaving, I actually wanted to shower for 3 straight hours and then slather my whole body in hand sanitizer--it was that disgusting.

Very bad vibes staying here..I feel like there was a camera in my room..got a call in the middle of the night, asking if I was horny and told me to come to them. So weird. And the bed gave my crazy back pain...def not coming back

This is by far the worst experience ever! The room that we got was nothing like how it was advertised. If you're thinking about going here, don't! It smelt like smoke and the smells does not go away! The sink was clogged, there's no microwave, the bed was uncomfortable and the sheets was disgusting. The window was tapped and unclean. The room we got was room 219. All I got to say is, this place is a false advertisement!!

Alright, this is going to be the cheapest room you will find and you get what you paid for. Pros - beds are very comfortable & the shower was amazing. The water pressure will not leave a speck of dirt on you. Cons - area is dirty, place is rundown - it definitely use a good cleaning and a fresh coat of paint. There are no closets, just a shelf with a rod but no hangers do bring your own if you have something to hang. The toilet paper is super cheap, single ply - bring your own. They give you a pouch of shampoo and a pouch of conditioner. Our room key kept demagnetizing and they were not very happy to re-set the key, like I was going it on purpose. The staff friendliness depends on who you get, we checked with a younger guy (rude), next day problem with my key and a lady helped us (rude), later that night key didn't work again and dealt with a older man (very nice). There are no microwaves in the room even though the pictures show different online. There is a small one in the outside courtyard that I think is for everyone to share. Yes they do dry the comforter on a line but does anyone use those? Bring your own blanket. Unfortunately, we could only get a smoking room because it was last minute - it was ok but the smell of everyone smoking weed around us was worse. Also, there is no carpet - tile floors, so bring flip flops or socks to wear and if they are white socks the bottoms will be black after one day. Almost forgot to mention the parking. It is a one way in and one way out. As we got there the police were leaving so we thought "oh good, the bad guys are out" but then we pulled in and they have a reserved spot for police so we are assuming the police go there quite often. My advice, pay a little more and stay someplace else!

Worst Hotel I've ever stayed. Filthy and I could hear the TV and conversation in the next room. This morning I was rudely awakened by a buzz saw at 7:30AM! They never mentioned the construction. I finished check in last night at about 10:25 PM. I'm here now and went down to the lobby to request a refund and they refused.

This place is not worth the money you pay. For $90 I could've gone somewhere with way more class. The rooms smell. The blanket on the bed has cigarette holes all over it and it's just dirty and nasty looking in here. Also my toilet was clogged once I got in here. this place is just so ghetto looking. Just sitting in this place is making me feel nasty. The lady in the front is a little rude as well. When you walk downstairs you can see the blankets drying on a piece of string I've never seen anything like that before

Free parking. Breakfast included. All day coffee. Across the street is a huge mall with unlimited dining choices and a Whole Foods. Sounds good, right? And it is... Except for noise insulation. Of which there is none. I could hear people talking and walking and watching tv around and above our room. And every time a toilet in at least one room near us flushed, it sounded like Niagara Falls. The Hilton app is actually very good -- it's clean, fast, and easy to book reservations. That part works well. Where things fall apart is when your plans change. I recently needed to make a simple change to a reservation. I tried chat first -- no help. Then I called the Hilton 1-800 number and spent 17 minutes on the phone only to be told there was nothing they could do. I also called the hotel twice early in the morning with no answer. At this point, I'll likely have to track down the hotel manager myself to resolve it. By the time this is done, I'll have spent close to an hour just trying to make a basic change -- and there's still no guarantee it will be waived. Meanwhile, my business plans shifted and I've already booked another Hilton stay at a different location. That's the frustrating part -- I'm staying loyal to the brand, but the system doesn't support flexibility. Airlines have figured this out. Hilton hasn't. As a Diamond member, I expect better. Instead, I feel like I'm working against the system rather than being supported by it. If Hilton can fix the change/cancellation experience, they'd be best-in-class. Until then, business travelers should be aware -- booking is easy, but changes can cost you time and money.

Upon arrival, Rochelle provided a very warm welcome, got us quickly checked in and upgraded us to a nicer room on the 14th floor. She went above and beyond, providing exceptional service. I also had very positive interactions with Angie, Gareth and Janeli throughout the stay. I owe special thanks to Amy & Michelle for making our stay and breakfast extra special, as they went above and beyond making us feel very welcome and that we had everything we needed in the M Lounge and at breakfast. I very much remembered them and their stellar service from my previous stay there in July. They exemplify the excellence associated with the Marriott brand, allowing us to get along with our day and to our local destinations. The room was very clean, modern and had nice views from its balcony. The breakfast buffet and M Lounge are top notch, especially since I am vegan and was able to enjoy not one but three items from the buffet: delicious breakfast potatoes, a yummy sauteed vegetable blend and oatmeal. Other than my stays at Aloft properties which offer great plant-based breakfast sandwiches, this was the first time I had a breakfast at a Marriott property that had enough vegan items where I felt full, satisfied and ready to enjoy my day. The location is very ideal, situated adjacent to a beautiful park, close to many shops and restaurants and not far to the freeway. The pool area is very nice; I enjoyed a cocktail at the pool bar where a great DJ was playing great music and then enjoyed a relaxing time at the pool. Most of all, all the staff we encountered were truly amazing and without a doubt not only meet but exceed the high Marriott standards. I wholeheartedly recommend this great Marriott for anyone in the area for personal or business.

While I was waiting, another associate appeared available but never looked up or acknowledged me, not even a quick "I'll be with you in a moment or my associate will be with you in a moment." That lack of basic engagement was noticeable. That said, Moshin's exceptional service completely shifted my overall impression. Because of him, I'm leaving this as a positive review. You have to park in a large structure behind the hotel in a business center. They do offer valet for a up charge. The hotel itself is nice and modern. However, the elevator coming down can be very slow, especially if on a high floor. The room was clean and spacious, and had a beautiful view. Housekeeping was very present in the hotel. I saw multiple housekeepers on one hallway, and the overall cleanliness showed. They also offer stay over service, which is appreciated. On the downside the TV was very outdated no smart features, just basic cable. Also for the price the hotel, it's lacking amenities. There is no pool or hot tub just a gym, which is disappointing for this price point. Overall, it was a great stay, especially for the convenient location. There are definitely areas of improvement, considering the cost.

Unfortunately, unlike that experience, our stay here at Woodland Hills was less than satisfactory. The front desk personnel were not friendly. I completely understand that their job is not easy, but is it too much to expect some warmth from someone whose job is to be warm and friendly? Breakfast seemed like a nice spread but was not replenished, so you were often left with the dregs of the food. There were no staff members to attend the guests, so no bowls/plates was quite the norm at breakfast during our 3-day stay. The valet parking of $31+ a day was an annoyance; the valets were the only friendly staff that we encountered. When I called the hotel about a billing question, I kept getting an annoying AI responder. Why can't a real person answer phone calls? The front desk initially suggested that might have been the reason, but I clarified it was not on the door. When I spoke to another staff member, I was told the cleaning staff might be on strike, which sounded completely made up--especially since someone else had already apologized and admitted my room was simply overlooked. The shower gel in the bathroom was nearly empty upon arrival. For a three-night stay, basic items like this should be checked and fully stocked in advance. Breakfast was also very disappointing. Many items were gone, and staff did not replenish them. You are left with banana, yogurt, oatmeal. Additionally, the elevator service was extremely slow. With only two elevators available, one broke down at one point, causing chaos and long wait times as lines quickly formed. They offer tea in the lobby, but unfortunately, the water was cold--another small detail that reflects poor attention to guest experience. The valet staff was friendly--and frankly, they should be, given the $31 per night charge, which felt like a complete rip-off. Overall, the service and maintenance fell below expectations, and I hope the hotel improves its attention to detail and communication moving forward.

That night we slept in the car and first thing in the morning I was at the laundromat. Washing EVERYTHING and cleaning out the car. Whole body itching. Another guy (young) behind the counter told us we put the blood on the mattress. It was there for months or longer.
