I have been going to Midtown Medical Healthcare Center for about a month now and I must say I am impressed. I walked in, with back and neck pain, ready to be just a number that would be poked and told to come back next month. This is totally the opposite of what I have received consistently!! The staff at this facility is obviously treated very well because they knew my name when I walked in the door. Luz and Lorraine greeted me with their smiling faces and jolly personalities. I have never gotten there and have had to wait they keep things very timely. This center is a one stop shop. I have been examined and had x-rays, diagnosed, received physical therapy AND massage. The massage therapists are some of the greatest that I have ever had to touch my body. I really want to think of something bad about this place because no where is perfect...except Midtown Medical Center obviously. Another quality that I am just mind blown about is the cleanliness. Since moving to NY I have become a bit of a germaphobe. I carry my wipes and sanitizer and I have not pulled it out once. I have referred a couple of my friends that are having problems with their bodies and they are also satisfied. Back pain, neck pain, no pain, whatever the case may be...GET TO MIDTOWN MEDICAL. Dr. Rose entered the X-ray room and adjusted my leg in a position which I was no longer screaming and the technician was able to take clear images. When he examined my knee he immediately saw them felt the amount of fluid that was causing me grave pain so he provided me with lidocaine first then withdrew 40ccs of blood from my knee! Insane! Instant relief and a better knee brace that helped stabilize me more.

Doctor Quirno performed a triple ACDF on me one year ago. My recovery went smoothly, the hospital…read moreexperience was as idyllic as a hospital could be, with great views, kind workers, and a calm atmosphere. My pain's gone, my scar is barely visible, and my spinal cord is no longer under compression! I'd had chronic mild pain for many years, but it never felt particularly serious. I finally got imaging when it started becoming a little more frequent and severe. I was horrified to learn my spine was severely compressed, and while the pain was bearable, I was facing future loss of function. I would have done anything to avoid surgery, as I'd seen bad outcomes with family members in the past. I met with four spine surgeons, and talked to friends and friends of friends with medical, spinal, and orthopedic expertise. Even the most anti-surgery people insisted I needed surgery, and recovery would be easier when I was younger. Each surgeon I met with had different preferred methods of performing the ACDF. I hoped to avoid an iliac bone graft, which another surgeon had told me was absolutely necessary. Dr. Quirno said he would plan to use a DePuy 3d-printed titanium and cadaver bone insert instead of the doing the graft. He said he could pivot to the graft mid surgery if he saw my bone health required the change. That was a huge relief! This was my first experience with a serious medical issue and it was wildly stressful. Dr. Quirno's calming demeanor and surgical expertise helped ease the whole process. I hope I never need spine surgery again, but if I do, I'm going back to him.

But they are not…read more They messaged us on the day of our scheduled annual physical to let us know that we can't get lab work done during the appointment because their lab closes around the appointment time, and I will have to come in another time to just get my lab works done. How could they not know this earlier and reach out to reschedule? They just expect me to take time off again during a work week to come in? This is very unprofessional, and disrespectful of anyone's time, especially during a work week. I chose the membership because I wanted a more efficient way to see doctors but they made it harder and more difficult than just any traditional doctor's office out there. On the phone with an administrative assistant, complained about the situation and asked to speak with someone about cancelling the membership. She did not even try to keep me as a member at all, and didn't even bother to let me speak anyone. All I knew was my membership is canceled and I will get the refund. Let's see how far this type of operation and attitude can take you. Funny thing is, there are just so many doctors office out there to choose from.

I had a previous bad experience at a different clinic, and I was super nervous to see another doctor in the city. Dr. Kostant was super kind and informative. The office is really clean and comfortable; there is a nice selection of beverages you can enjoy. I would mention if the strings to your IUD are missing prior to your appointment, because there is some medication that you can take beforehand that can help with that process. I was still able to take the medicine during my appointment, and Dr. Kostant made the time for me to complete my procedure the same day. I was able to use laughing gas and local anesthesia for my procedure, which was definitely an interesting experience. I have a follow-up appointment scheduled in two weeks, and I am sure I will be all set for the next 10 years!

Sloane Stecker Lincoln Square I am presently 72 years old…read more I began going to Sloane Stecker for physical therapy 2012 when I was 59 and suffering with a painful bursitis in my shoulder. As I have arthritis, since that time I've found occasion to go to other physical therapy studios from time to time for other debilitating conditions. The other studios have been adequate, but Sloane Stecker is the best physical therapy site of I've been to. The clinicians are highly qualified and insightful. They played close attention to the source of pain, the source of weakness, the reason why I am attending physical therapy. In 2019 I returned to Sloane Stecker after 2018 spine surgery and a relapse, hospitalization and stay at rehab. I received physical therapy and during the pandemic I received virtual physical therapy, which was excellent. I've been in physical therapy since then until now in 2025. I found in 2024 my pain was not resolved. I had major spine surgery in September 2024. The expert clinicians at Sloane Stecker Lincoln Square prepared me for my surgery prior. I went in for surgery and then returned to Sloane Stecker Lincoln Square for rehabilitation and I have been there since. My pain from spinal stenosis is resolved and my clinicians, Dr. Grace Kim, DPT, Dr. Devon Merino, DPT and Dr. Kevin Wong, DPT have greatly helped me working on my strength, balance, and endurance. I began with Dr. Grace Kim, DPT 2 months after major spine surgery. She was very thorough but careful. I was hopeful to go overseas to visit my three young grandsons and asked if she might prepare me for the trip. She cautiously watched my progress in therapy and made no promises. I could only respect that, and do the work! I got stronger. We began in November 2024. On January 17, 2025 I boarded a jet for Spain. I returned to the U. S. March 21st and to Sloane Stecker Lincoln Square April 8th. Dr. Devin Marino, DPT evaluated my conditions. There were eval questions and diagnostic tests. The studio has state of the art equipment in-house and they even have some fun and challenging games which build motor skills. Working there is a thrill, and I always feel I am getting stronger and more able when I've been there for my sessions.  Devin assigned me to Dr. Kevin Wong, DPT. I began working with Dr. Kevin Wong, DPT right away after returning from my vacation.  He's always been very attentive to my particular needs.  He's aware that I am working to reacquire balance and strength when walking since major spine surgery.  Kevin gives me specialized strengthening exercises to make my legs stronger and make me more stable on my feet and more confident when I am walking.  He encourages me to work hard in our sessions to improve my health and wellbeing.  He's my cheerleader.  I highly recommend Sloane Stecker Lincoln Square, Dr. Grace Kim DPT, Dr. Devon Merino, DPT, and Dr. Kevin Wong DPT to work with as physical therapists.  You will be in safe hands and in a safe place to get better and stronger while you are healing.  There is no place better.
