    I. Love. This. Brewery. I've recently gotten sucked in to their Monday night trivia and I've been loving it! They also have tons of other special events that cater to most interests, so there's always something to do. It's super nice that you now have the option to order some snacks in-house instead of relying on a food truck. The food is average at very best, but it is nice to have something to munch on. You also can't beat a place with a cute rooftop, so what's not to love?

I went to Starr Hill on a Friday evening and got a flight of five($21). My favorite from the flight were the Lady Mariko and Cecilia. They have a small stage for bands to perform on the first floor and a nice rooftop area on the roof. They weren't too busy when I went so it felt quite relaxed. Overall a good brewery to have some drinks and hang out. Drink(50%): 7.6 Staff/service(25%): 6.5 Value(25%):6.5 Overall: 7.1/10

Starr Hill Brewery offers a fantastic selection of beers that cater to a variety of tastes. The brewery's dog-friendly patio is a major plus for pet owners, making it a great spot to relax with your furry friends. It would be even better if dogs were allowed inside, similar to other local breweries that don't serve food. Be sure to check to see if they have a food truck planned for the night, otherwise you can order from Tazza Kitchen through the QR code in the taproom. **Rating:** (4/5)

Loved it here! The rooftop is perfect for hanging out on a nice day. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. Both drinks we got were great, we will be back!

Cool place to hang out with friends on the rooftop. There is plenty of seating and breeze. We got the pride flight which was really easy to drink, my least favorite being the seltzer (the one on the right of the pic) and which was still pretty good! Service was smooth!

Headed out for a celebratory beer after the Richmond Marathon. This place was packed! I was excited to see a variety of sours and flight options on the menu. I ordered Roxanne, Rio, Stupid Sexy Flanders and Virginia Peaches. Honestly, I didn't love any of them. Virginia Peaches was probably my favorite. They do have a nice rooftop area, lots of space downstairs and an additional outside area. Worth grabbing a drink here on a nice day.

Nice environment, good place to hang out with some friends weather your going to drink or not. Would be a great place on a warm summer night. Has a decent selection of beers, service was fast!

Plenty of room available. Indoor, rooftop and outdoor seating available. Street parking only. Bathrooms available. And they have a water station to fill up water bottles/cups. Follow them on social media to see what food truck will be there. Lots of merch available as well! Lots of beer choices to pick from. We're definitely making our rounds around the craft beer scene in Richmond!

Cold beer and a roof top?? Who doesn't love that? This is a nice spot to get her with friends and enjoy. The roof top is where the crowd is on nice days. They have two TVs on the rooftop so you can keep up with sporting events while hanging out. Be prepared to show your ID to get in. They card people of all ages. I would describe the crowd as younger 20's and hipster. In an area filled with bars and breweries the Star Hill is in the middle of the pack and just OK.

Very big plus is our beers were half off because we also stumbled upon happy hours. The whole place was pretty big, and had a good arcade section. We definitely were able to kill time and had a lot of fun. Staff is pretty chill and let us know we could drink near the games. Can't wait to come back!

For their arcade, you have to use a card that you buy credits on to. In our opinion, the games were a little expensive. I think it's more directed towards parents who want to drink and offload their kids in this area, but for those of us already spending a good amount on drinks, the price on the games kinda sucks. We're used to a cover for all you can play or something a little more affordable. They do have a lot of great, newer games. It definitely kept us entertained for a while. They also had a great variety. It was pretty empty when we got there a little after lunch, but by 4pm or so it started raining and they were PACKED. The drinks were good, nothing special. A couple draft cocktails that tasted like you would expect. Some good beer options. It's a great spot in the area, huge bar area that can fit a lot of people and a really great patio.

The gentleman behind the bar was friendly and helpful. Our food came out promptly and hot!! The food needs its own section for this review. It was excellent! Best fries in Richmond. My burger was juicy and full of flavor. Please, never change the gluten free bun, it is the best one I have had in a restaurant! One of my daughters had the chicken tenders, These were not your usual chicken tenders. They were huge, basically two chicken breast sliced into tenders, hand battered and deep fried. I was told they were hot and juicy. The bbq sauce was good. My other daughter had the Buffalo chicken Mac and Cheese. She raved about it! Telling us how delicious the whole entree was. One chicken tender sliced up placed on a bed of Mac and cheese drizzled with hot sauce, what's not to rave about. My mom had the 40 mile Philly. She said it was excellent and the perfect size. The drink menu is extensive and has something for everyone. Even those who don't drink beer. We had the hard cider and on a hot day it was refreshing. The mocktail my daughter had was also very good. The overall ambiance is nice. Basic brewery look. Welcoming, clean, and bright. Everyone enjoyed the time we spent there today. We have put it on our list of places to go back to when in Richmond. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for good food, drinks , and service when going out in Richmond.

Their "build-your-own" flight setup is genius--you choose anywhere from 2 to 10 tasters, and pricing is based on the beer you pick. Each one is clearly labeled on the menu at the bar, making it super easy to mix, match, and share. My boyfriend and I grabbed a couple each and built our own "couples flight." Highly recommend this approach if you're rolling deep with friends--rounds for the win! Now the beer. The Mango Gose was light and fruity without the pucker-punch, and the Cherry Cobbler Sour was refreshingly chill with just a little tang. But the real MVP? The Lucky Charms marshmallow beer. YES, it was bright green. YES, it smelled like it should be in a cereal bowl. And YES, it tasted like childhood nostalgia with a buzz. I was skeptical... and then I was converted. My boyfriend enjoyed several IPAs and gave them two enthusiastic hops up. Food-wise, no kitchen here--but they rotate food trucks/food setups, which keeps things fresh. They also offer the cutest little snack jars--1 for $2 or all 3 for $5. Just enough to crave that sweet (or salty) tooth! Gummy worms, M&Ms, trail mix... it's giving snack bar meets brewery energy, and I'm into it. The space is big inside with an eclectic, funky vibe (some weird wall decor, but we'll call it personality), and a solid outdoor area with long beer garden tables. Plenty of room to sip, snack, and stay a while. Would I come back? Absolutely. Would I day drink the day away here if I had more time? Without hesitation. Just shy of five stars because it's missing food on-site consistently, but the drinks, snacks, and vibe totally make it worth the visit. Lucky Charms beer forever.
