I was already not in the mood for anymore drinking after spending a weekend in a major tournament in Lynchburg. Anyways, for a Saturday evening, this place was pretty packed both inside and outside. We both ended up getting a flight of beers each and every one was great. The food surprised me as my fish tacos was super fresh. The chips and queso was also great. It was a beautiful fall evening and there were a good number of people enjoying both the outdoor and indoor spaces. We made our way inside and were impressed they also had a live band playing on the stage. We looked around a bit, enjoying the industrial feel of the building and the music. We took a place in line and ultimately I chose a pint of the Bareback Bronco IPA. We love good swag so we made our way to look at the offerings. My wife quickly commented on their cute and clever designs which are printed on soft, comfortable cotton shirts, hoodies, etc. They also had a good selection of assorted discount t shirts available in small, xxl and xxxl sizes. The band engaged the audience with the Chris Stapleton favorite, Tennessee Whiskey which was fun. We ultimately decided to enjoy one of the high top tables outside while I drank my beer, which I enjoyed and ended up purchasing an additional 4-pack for our long weekend in Roanoke. Great stop, if you enjoy local breweries, make sure to stop in. We noticed they are also open Sundays. The food menu is very limited, but our bbq sandwiches were absolutely delicious. It was the beertender's (Tyler's) first day and he impressed me as someone who has worked there for years. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and fast. I had a pecan Oktoberfest and the Bobby Dazzler New Zealand Pils; both very flavorful. The Brimstone Bistro delivers your food order from the building next door. We both ordered the Brimstone Brisket sandwich. Perfect portion for us both. The atmosphere was friendly as well. Two customers brought their dogs, which we love. There is a huge outdoor seating area as well as roomy interior. Outdoor tables are covered with shade canopies. This place is a gem and we will be back for sure.
