The Gville Water company denied that the check was taken from their customer service. They said the check was stolen out of the USPO mailbox at Orchard PArk. If that is truw, would the robber then put my check back in an envelope and mail it to G'ville Water???? So now I only pay them with a certified check and occassionaly a credit card. The Greenville Police opened a file on this stolen check, and I never heard from them-not surprizing, they are busy arresting criminals, and my $7,000 was just white collar crime.

After…read moreinitially being told they would review our situation and help with our well issue, we waited nearly three weeks based on their communication, believing they intended to assist us. During that entire time our home had no water, despite the fact that we explained the urgency of the situation. We have a 1-year-old child and a family member with end-stage dementia living in the home, making access to water an essential necessity. Instead of being honest from the beginning if they were unwilling or unable to help, they allowed us to wait for weeks -- time that could have been spent contacting other companies and resolving the issue. When we finally followed up, the response we received was dismissive and shockingly unprofessional. We were told they were "not obligated" to help and that our situation supposedly "threw too many red flags." Whether they wanted the job or not is beside the point -- professional companies communicate that clearly and promptly rather than leaving a family without water for weeks. Their lack of transparency, poor communication, and disregard for the seriousness of the situation wasted valuable time during what was already a stressful circumstance for our household. There were two white female associates serving customers. Those associates and the customers were separated by a glass. The process was fast to open an account and selecting which day you would like to have water at your place. $50 was the cost to have their staff open the water at your place at the day you specified. If you were to set-up automatic payment, you will need a voided check in addition to fill and sign a form. It was easy to park.
