The layout of the place feels strange. Also, they have a speaker in the waiting room (which is small mind you) and they constantly play loud club music with heavy bass. This is a spa, not a club. First impressions are everything and although they can be overcome Starwood did nothing to make it right. My wife surprised me with a birthday facial yesterday and we arrived at 10:45 for my 11am microdermabrasion. As I sat and waited to be called 3 other ladies came in and were swiftly taken back to their treatment rooms. I continued to be patient as it was now 11:15 but became frustrated when others with 11:30 appointments began going back for treatments. At this point the front desk noticed my frustration and came by to say my technician was still with the previous patient and it would only be 15 more minutes. Finally at 11:45 I get up to request a refund as I had now been waiting an hour for an 11am appointment. Several technicians were standing in the hall talking and seemed annoyed that I was asking when I'd be seen. Finally at 11:50 I was called back and rushingly asked to get under the covers to begin. I didn't receive a consultation to determine if I was a good fit for microdermabrasion as the release stated I would and now on day two I'm left with a stinging chemical burn on my cheeks after I was told it was normal to feel some tingling and even stinging. During my treatment I was told I would receive additional items for the wait but didn't and was not provided with after care instructions outside of wear sunscreen and try to avoid direct sunlight. I wanted to love Starwood and tried to give grace, but I can't excuse their promptness for others while completely lacking service or care for myself another paying customer. read more

Recently had Soft-wave on my face and neck. The numbing was soooooo helpful and Susan was so knowledgeable. I love this Spa; all the professionals are awesome and Taz, the owner really cares about getting her client the results they're looking for. ZERO!! They burnt my face on my left check. The owner saw my scar took pictures and saw me a couple of times and said we will wait and watch. After 8 months of waiting, the scar stayed the same and the owner said we can't do anything about it and we didn't see it happening as you and the technician were alone in the room and there were no witnesses!!! On top of that she said she can send me the consent forms where they made me sign everything stating that even if anything goes wrong they are not responsible! STAY AWAY!!! read more

I feel like the Botox might be old or expired. The last time I went, I got absolutely zero results. I called them to let them know twice without resolve. 40 units. No results. No tension or stiffness. I've been getting Botox for 12 years and I have always gotten some freeze. Disappointed, especially since I live in Starwood and its literally right out of the neighborhood. Amazing med spa. I was recommended here by a friend and have been a few times and always leave happy as ever. The amount of services here will leave you with enough options to find exactly what you are looking for to keep your skin looking amazing. The staff is absolutely wonderful and the quality of service is unbeatable. It truly is the best in the area and also affordable for the quality of treatments. I had a few things done to my forehead wrinkles and I couldn't be any more pleased with the results. The esthetician that did my facial was kind and competent. I was pleased with the experience and provided a generous tip. I don't like being asked for offering a gratuity for Botox injections however. I would suggest that Starwood Med Spa drop asking for a tip when only Botox is provided. When I get it elsewhere it is like a medical procedure and there is no request for a tip, so this looks a bit greedy and leaves me questioning if I want to come back or how I will be treated should I come back to the Botox provider who wasn't tipped. read more

I came to Starwood for coolsculpting. Little did I know that I had found the most experienced person in the state of Texas for sculpting through this tool! Taz is extremely knowledgeable, experienced and knows how to sculpt your body with the various coolsculpting devices (I think I counted ten applicators!). They also use a radial sound wave device after the session which greatly increases the effectiveness of the treatment over the typical massage. Look up "zimmer z-wave" and the studies done regarding coolsculpting enhancement. I would not go anywhere else for this treatment. I was not paid or offered any discounts for writing this review. I have been elsewhere for the procedure with poor results and hope this review helps anyone looking into getting this done...see Taz! She's a gem, and you will love Starwood! read more

Customer service at this spa is just terrible. I recently got a package deal for laser hair removal. For reasons completely out of my control, I will be unable to use 5 out of the 6 sessions I paid for. When I called to see if we could prorate and refund me the portion of my unused package, I was told all I could get was a $9 refund. They did offer to get me in to do other services, which I am unable to do which is why I needed the refund in the first place. So they apparently get to keep my $ and not provide the service. I guess this is why they are still in business because its not customer service that keeps people coming back! I was also told that the company uses the latest and greatest lasers. The do not. They have the same old style lasers that require the cold gel that they used like 20 years ago. Totally not worth the money in my opinion and I would never want to return after the way I was treated. And after speaking with management I told them not to refund the $9, on the off chance I could take them up on the offer of an additional service - they did it anyway. Basically now I am out the money having received 1/6 of the services I paid for. read more

When the technician saw my results, she was shocked. She called the owner, and rather than offering any compensation or discounted followed treatment, the owner gave some empty excuses and had the nerve to ask if I would be interested in purchasing ANOTHER THREE treatments AT THE SAME PRICE. ****UPDATE****: 6 hours after posting this review, I heard from Starwood Med Spa's Taz. She apologized for my experience and asked if she could make it up to me. She offered free laser or anything that would make a difference. I won't go back. I can't. I get stressed out just thinking about it. Funny though when I filled out their internal survey about 2 weeks ago, I didn't hear anything. Yet, once I posted on Yelp I get this phone call. Oh and she asked me to revise my review. So based on my conversation, I added this update. No way would I recommend or go back to this place. Taz, the owner doesn't know the first thing about ethics or customer service. It's all about making money at any cost at this place and it shows. I went there for laser hair removal. They over charged me over a $1000 over the course of my contracted membership (1-year)!!! I couldn't believe that a business can be so dishonest and negligent. When I finally caught on to it, they gave me a simple "oh sorry". Yeah... sorry you were caught. They repayed my credit card $100 at a time until it was paid in full. They claimed they didn't realize they were over charging me. Hmmm...okay. The other issue is that Taz is obsessed with lasers. She has all kinds of lasers. She is always getting new lasers it seems. So without talking to the client, lasers are switched during the course of the treatments. I believe this is the reason I did not get the best results. There were several times I felt that the laser used didn't work. On one occasion she agreed and said the laser didn't work that day and she didn't know who the laser was used on. But if clients call back, she would re-laser the area. So all those clients that actually did not get a treatment they paid for and didn't call back, lost out. This type of behavior and handling clients is not nice or ethical. All other times that the laser did absolutely nothing, she down played the issues and did not offer to re-laser. So in summary, if you choose to go to this place first you have to learn about all the lasers she has and tell her which one you want her to use because some of the ones she has are useless. After that, check your credit card statements diligently to make sure she didn't overcharge you. Not worth it to me as there are a million honest and ethical medical spas in the area. read more
