"STARZ COLLISION CENTER IN EL MONTE". WORST PLACE EVER. I left a review about three weeks ago on a repair on my WHITE HONDA CIVIC 2018 there's no need for you guys to get a 5 stars from me. SORRY BUT NOT SORRY. I deleted and I don't feel bad leaving a bad review. Esmeralda was at the repair shop when I took my car for drop off. She seemed very on it, and attentive, but let me tell you don't let her fool you. DO NOT COME TO THIS REPAIR SHOP I AM WARNING YOU! All they dedicate themselves on doing is stealing from their customers who drop off their vehicles. They play the victims and pretend they do not know what you are talking about. Yes they fixed my door, Mickey Mouse type of job, poorly but surely. They left a sharp mini knife with some screws on my back seat. I found all my important paper documents that I had very well organized on my passenger drawer, well those were found on the back seat as well. They stole my brand new Balenciaga glasses from the compartment. I left some medical pills that were prescribed to me inside my car when my accident had happened those I found them placed somewhere else not found in the spot I left them. These people literally went through all my shit. Thankfully, I had removed all the items from my trunk before dropping off my car. When my car was ready to be picked up, (took two weeks) ESMERALDA was who called me and notified me that my car was ready and that she had washed my car. Mind you she washed my car....Keep reading..... I showed up on a weekend on a Saturday 6/29/2024 at 9:30AM, and there was no one but a guy in the shop. She knew I would stop by early Saturday morning per our phone conversation. Well let me tell you she was no where to be found. I called her three times, I thought maybe she's running late, nope, I waited a few more minutes maybe 30min- 35min and nothing. I decided to go back in the shop and a LUCINO guy came out of no where and I asked him what time ESMERALDA would stop by as I was there to pick up my car, he said later. He started looking for my key fob my fob was not located where all the other fobs were placed. LUCINO kept asking me questions and trying to entertaining me while two of his employees were still looking for my key fob. Finally, the employees came and brought me my key fob who knows where the hell they had it put away but they brought it. Probably came out from one of their pockets... anyways back to my story then I paid LUCINO and I checked the outside of my car it looked fine to me at that time. I got in my car noticed my rings cheap ring ($20) dollar rings were placed somewhere else, then I thought nothing of it. I then thanked LUCINO and I started driving, when I started driving I noticed my GAS PEDAL was extremely hard!! I thought hmm maybe it's because it hasn't been driven in two weeks. Later, as I got home I started fixing all my items I had removed from the trunk back into my trunk. I looked around my car as well as the passenger door that was fixed once I opened the I spotted a sharp knife that was left in the back seat Included with some screws, along with all the mess of documents that I explained were scattered all over my back seat. The seats were not even "vacuumed" or "cleaned" as ESMERALDA had supposedly mentioned she had washed my car which was total bullshit! The inside did not look clean at all or washed, the inside looked dirty just as dirty when I dropped it off to her. I called ESMERALDA three times and she did not answer. I left her a voicemail and she finally returned my call. I told her I was calling her to report everything that my poor car had gone through while being left in the possession of their hands. I told her about the glasses, the docs, etc. I asked her who had worked on my car? She did not mention time any names, after I went over the list of mess, she said "well you know what???" I took your car to wash! And I think they went through all your stuff! I told her "I THOUGHT PER OUR PHONE CONVERSATION YOU HAD WASHED IT?!" She said no I took it to wash and I think those guys went through your stuff, I said my BALENCIAGA GLASSES are complete gone, who the fuck touched the rest of my other shit!? She said she did not know and to send her photos........Blah blah blah I thought it was pointless to do so as the damaged had already been done to my car! I asked her for the address/location of the location where "she supposedly took my car for a wash" as she claimed lol. And I still haven't heard back from her. I also called LUCINO, and nothing from that guy either. Honestly, this place is a complete joke, she drives a BMW hmm I wonder why... lol possibly purchased that car with selling stolen stuff from her customers and expensive items found on vehicles left in her possession. Came here for a paint job, and some scuff and dent repairs of on my rav 4 and the job they did was beyond fantastic, and it didn't break the bank when it came time to pay either! Esmeralda was the one I was in touch with throughout the process and she was always available for me to contact when I had questions or wanted updates on the timeline of my vehicles repairs, couldn't be happier with my experience here and I can't recommend it enough. Horrible service i dropped off my car two weeks ago after i got it back my car it had visible white paint drops and lose parts with multiple visible screws I called and I spoke with Esmeralda about my car still having visible screws,white spots (my car is red!!!) and loose parts .she told me to come in and ask for Lucio and he would fix his mistakes (since had done the work on my car)upon my arrival to the body shop I showed Lucio and his associate what I was talking about and he became very aggressive with his tone and got upset that I was pointing out the mistakes on the work he had done on my car.....I didn't even leave my car because he kept insinuating I was stupid and expressed that very clearly! I really didn't know what auto shop was open so I searched it up and found Starz collision. The communication was amazing. I called Lucino and he picked up at like 12 am when I didn't know where to put my car. Came back in a few days because it was also the weekend. When I came in, Lucino was so nice we had small talk and he was just so understanding about everything. Horrible service, constantly lie about when the car will be completed. Claimed to have ordered bumper trim that never arrived because it was never actually ordered but I was charged $65 for. Also the paint work they did was very poor quality and didn't even last 18 months before it began to fade. When I picked up the car they had disconnected my dash cam, used a 1/4 of tank of fuel put 85 additional miles on the car and it had a broken motor mount. The had taken my Jaguar S Type V8 out and abused it! To get the money I was charged for the bumper trim back I had to threaten to call the Sheriff's Department. The owner is a complete lying sleaze ball can't tell the truth about anything. Made constant promise's he never kept. Never use this company! Go anywhere else! read more

Stay away. I was in a car accident where my car was drivable. I decided to go to Starz Collision because I've been there one time before. I asked them if they did car collision services and they said yes. They told me that my inspection was going to take 3 days and needed my car to be there for a thorough inspection. They gave me $200 to get a car rental for 3 days. I went along with it. The insurance, AAA, called me and asked me to take my car out after 2 days when the inspection was done. I went over there toward the end of business hours around 4 pm. The owner, Lucino, told me that I couldn't get my car out that my insurance was not willing to pay him, and that they were delaying my car to getting fixed. I told him I spoke to them and they told me that my inspection is done and I can get my car out. He said he won't give me my car. He is already working on my car. I told him I never permitted him to work on my car and that the insurance hadn't given any money for him to work on my car. He stayed quiet and said that it was either me or the insurance have to pay for his storage fees. He never once talked to me about any storage fees. Lucino wouldn't even let me see my car. I walked out of Starz Collision without a car. I was worried and felt something was wrong. The next day, I called the police. I told Lucino and the police that I didn't want Lucino to work on my car and that I needed it out. Lucino after 4 hours of working something out with the insurance, I finally got my car out after it was held hostage. I don't believe that I would have gotten my car out without having law enforcement involved. And that I shouldn't have had the hassle of doing all of that or being talked to like that. I spoke with the insurance about the entire situation. They stated that an inspection only takes 15 minutes to an hour and that they were charging them $250 a day just to leave my car at Starz Collision for no reason. Lucino was being a manipulative liar telling me that AAA was the one delaying the services that I had to get my car fixed with him and that he was already working on it. read more
