Anthony was fantastic and knowledgeable. I've been rear ended (none my fault) while I was going 0 MPH six f'ing times. Three were significant. 2 red lights, 1 yielding left turn, and 3 in stopped freeway traffic. Whatever is on your phone or the 30 seconds you're trying to save is not as important as safely driving these metal coffins at 40-60+ MPH. I have PTSD now when traffic stops and see a car approaching at high speeds in my rear view mirror. This most recent one annoyed the crap out of me because I'm older/grumpier now and I don't want to go through this whole process again with insurance, rental, and body repair on my car. A few days after the accident, I hit up 4 different body shops looking for estimates. The first out of the three seemed pretty promising in informing and answering my questions and I felt I would likely go with them after visiting the third place. Focus was my last stop on the list for the day. I asked for an estimate and Anthony immediately helped with that. A few things I noticed were that he was very knowledgeable and has a sharp eye. I had asked all 3 previous body shops about my obliterated tail light because I was concerned about the safety of people not knowing I am going to merge or brake as well as the legality of it. They said to not replace it before the body shop repairs because insurance will be an issue with that. Makes sense, but that didn't ease my concern. Anthony immediately identified it as non-driveable. Finally, a helpful answer. The other thing was he quickly spotted a very subtle indentation caused by the traffic collision that the other 3 shops did not see. I didn't even see it, but there it was. We went into the office and he called my insurance to get more information on the claim and coverage. He then arranged the rental over the phone for me with the Enterprise two blocks down the street and got them to pick me up to get a rental. Dude didn't know how fed up I was with the situation as well as the concerns I had, yet he addressed them and took a lot of weight off my shoulders. I really appreciated that. His knowledge and confidence gave me confidence that I was in good hands. I have the car back and it looks great and I feel good about it. It was washed and cleaned inside and out as well. I'm grateful for Anthony's help getting the "wheels in motion" and making it a smooth experience for myself because I needed that. He explained the whole process for me so I can get a clear understanding of what to expect and anything that I may be responsible for moving on. W - O - W ! All I can say is, David and his team is AMAZING! My brother's car was hit & run, so we were looking for body shops and found this hidden gem. I made a call in the morning, and David was able to take me in right away as a walk in. I brought in the car so that he can inspect the damages and give his estimate. Do yourself a favor and come to mac auto for your auto body needs. I was hit a few months ago and got estimates from 4 places. I met David when I went to Mac for the estimate. He took his time to explain the process (it was my first time being hit) with insurance, actual auto repair and claim information. I explained I was getting a few estimates and I felt absolutely no pressure from him. I ended up choosing Mac because of David's service and because I felt comfortable with him. I had minor issues with my insurance and payment to Mac. David gave me his cell phone number and I texted him to keep him in the loop about the payment. He responded quickly. After my insurance sent Mac the payment for the repair they called me and gave me a timeframe of when I should drop it off (my car was driveable) so as to avoid being without my car for more than necessary although he gave me the option to drop it off anyway if I needed to. My car was ready exactly in the timeframe he originally quoted. My care looked like new! They even washed my entire car and it looked like when I first bought it from the dealership. He even gave me a discount! All around awesome experience. Polite and informative staff. It sucked getting hit especially when it's not your fault, insurance is a headache also, but luckily David at Mac Auto provided friendly service and frankly gave me more information than my own insurance company. I hope to never need their services again, but I would 100% come back if the need arises. read more

My car got broken into on 9/3. Some desperate mofo shattered my rear passenger side window and stole my belongings. I was livid about the situation and to be honest, I felt a bit vulnerable. David is very reliable and communicative. He will always respond to my questions and concerns. The body shop does good work. One of the signs of a good body shop is how far apart the pannel gap looks. Mac autoshop did not disappoint in that department. The gaps were even and the same gap size as the side of the car that did not get hit. read more

At the end of the day, Macs Autobody is a business. I have allowed David to repair my car for 4 times and each time the quality is worse. I am giving them 2 stars because the quality of repairs and attention to detail is just not up to par. For example, my car carpet was soaked and I asked David if he could help me take care of it. He guaranteed me he would but after I got the car back the carpet was still soaked. I had to teach myself to pull out the carpet then leave it out to sun dry. It took 4 hours of my time, when they could have probably done it for less if they cared. The hood of my car was also not bolted back correctly and was misaligned. I had to tell them to realign it. A tire pressure cap went missing, etc small stuff like this definitely reflects a bigger picture and I am truly disappointed. The quality of parts used are not up to standard. There are original parts(OEM,high quality, more expensive) and aftermarket (salvaged parts, parts from other automobiles, refurbished, reconditioned, etc). I know for a fact that David uses aftermarket parts because after the repairs I went to get my car appraised. The mechanic told me the car had non original parts which seriously lowered the value of my car. It would not make economical sense for them to use oem parts. Now when I drive my car it does not feel the same as when I bought it. It is not because of the accident, a car is the sum of its parts, it is because the parts replaced were not original, he might have even taken some original parts off my car unrelated to the accident and sold them. This is the vibe i get from this place. It might not necessarily be David himself but his employees doing it behind his back I can't say for sure. I understand that David is a business owner and there are many things on he has to factor in. He is a patient person but the focus is too much on customer service and not enough on quality control. It infuriates me that he did not do what he said he was going to do. Too much focus on sales and telling me what I want to hear to get by. I take responsibility for my decisions and I learned a lot from these experiences. The reason I repaired my car here is because they have a deductible rebate program. I did it to save 500, 1000 bucks because I'm a student. You should get what you pay for but you get less than you pay for here. They are earning big in the insurance end by using lower cost parts and claiming to use oem. You can get high quality repairs and with the same price (added cost of deductible) at another place. read more

From my first Honda Civic, til my current 5-6th car of Mercedes and etc; I've always relied on David and his team at MAC.
