When I walked in, there were 2 people waiting and a guy signing in before me. As soon as I signed in, the 2 patients waiting we're already called in. I had my labs virtually and I was able to send the file to their email. The process was seamless and easy. The place is clean and tidy. The 2 receptionists at the front desk were really helpful, kind, considerate, and accommodating. I've had seen my fair share of dismissive & rude receptionists, that witnessing their interactions with patients is very refreshing. The phlebotomist was also pretty efficient. Overall, the total amount of time I spent from walking in to walking out was about 30mins. Knowing that I was risking it by entering as a walk-in patient, I knew I could walk out if the waiting area looked crowded. Thankfully, that was not the case today!

This time, the tech who drew my blood, a big male person, did not listen to my request. He acted like he was going to and didn't. He hurt me drawing my blood. I hope never to get him again. If he comes out as my technician, I will request another person hoping this won't cause me difficulties or even more pain as some sort of retribution. Technicians should appreciate that some of us find blood drawing stressful and should be receptive to simple requests (for which others have no problem). I didn't appreciate him in essence lying by omission, but acting like he knew what was best for me--clearly it wasn't, as I already knew.

I saw that those with appointments were waiting for quite some time past their time slots and it didn't seem to make much difference. The initial check in process is completed using the kiosk and then verified by the phlebotomists. It took awhile for that to happen since they do both check ins and drawing blood. So at certain points, nobody's manning the front desk making patients who are unfamiliar with the set up confused and frustrated. Parking is free and does not require validation or payments. One just needs to take the elevator to go upstairs and it's to the left of the elevators. Once it was my turn to have my blood drawn, the venipuncture portion went by quickly. The person who took care of me had a nice sense of humor and didn't miss the vein or anything. I wouldn't mind visiting this lab for future bloodwork needs.
