Another visit on a random weekday at around 10:40am and there's hardly anyone here. I signed in as a walk-in since I don't have an appointment. When I walked in, there were 2 people waiting and a guy signing in before me. As soon as I signed in, the 2 patients waiting we're already called in. I had my labs virtually and I was able to send the file to their email. The process was seamless and easy. The place is clean and tidy. The 2 receptionists at the front desk were really helpful, kind, considerate, and accommodating. I've had seen my fair share of dismissive & rude receptionists, that witnessing their interactions with patients is very refreshing. The phlebotomist was also pretty efficient. Overall, the total amount of time I spent from walking in to walking out was about 30mins. Knowing that I was risking it by entering as a walk-in patient, I knew I could walk out if the waiting area looked crowded. Thankfully, that was not the case today! read more

I had to reschedule my appt a handful of times due to extenuating circumstances. But when I finally made it to the office, they were able to find my scripts from my doctor. I was serviced right away and had a lovely phlebotomist, Trell (sp?). She was sweet, professional, and I didn't feel a thing. Highly recommend this labcorp facility! went here for a urinalysis since it was closer to me at the time and they were able to get my lab orders via email and helped me even when they werent the original location my doc sent it to. they were v thorough and helpful. parking was kind of confusing but just park in the garage otherwise the entrance is on the side of the building read more

Went on a Saturday because only Labcorp office near me. Room was packed with people, no room to sit, but the receptionist, Joy, was calm and courteous to everyone. Because mine was a urine sample, I was able to give it and be gone (no phelbotomists required) in twenty minutes. Very different sense of reception staff from previous experience at Arlington office where they were brusque to the point of rude. Thank you for Saturday hours and gold star for Joy. read more

I actually put a note in my records to never go here again. Let's face it, lab waiting rooms are nothing to look forward to, and this one is typical; however, there was no water tank on the water cooler, and it was pretty uninviting. The check-in was easy, and the person at the desk was nice. BUT, the technician who draws blood is a vampire! I forgot that this was the place I visited last time, which left my arm bruised from the draw, and I made an online appointment by mistake. I hoped for the best when I realized it was the same place -- but NO! It was a bad experience, and the person really hurt me during the draw, and let's just say the result it left on my arm was hideous. Labcorp also refused to send my lab results to one of my other doctors, even though I had requested that it be sent to them in person. I think this is ridiculous! I was standing right in front of them -- it wasn't as if I was requesting this over the phone. We all have more than one doctor these days, and this information needs to be shared. And I'm paying for it!! I will try to avoid this place at all costs. read more

I am a "difficult stick" so I travel an extra 30 minutes to visit the Labcorp office at 8503 Arlington Blvd Ste 350 Fairfax, VA 22031. Pleasant staff, clean office and darn good technicians. Fred is gone but they replaced him with Delmy (an angel). Fred and Delmy are the only phlebotomists who have been able to get blood out of the crook of my arm in the past 25+ years. At the previous appointment the technician used the back of my hand but it wasn't that painful, which was surprising (I was so grateful that I gave her a hug). I was glad she chose to do that rather than stab me in the crook of my arm if she wasn't able to feel one of my rather deep veins. read more

Getting in and out of here is a challenge. I understand there are a lot of medical offices close by, who use and/or recommend them. To their credit easy walk in and out, or quick appointments if you can't go that day. As we get older, bloodwork becomes more common. It's part of life, so thank you to the men and women who work here. All of them are good with the needles. Folks who are nervous around them, will appreciate the professionalism and laid back atmosphere. They definitely are consistent. Most insurance plans work here. That's a good thing. If you need to have your cells sent off to a laboratory, for more observation, consider this. read more

Last Friday, a week ago today, I went to get a blood test. The employees were absolutely delightful! Unfortunately, the first person was unable to successfully draw blood from my right arm, so she asked another employee to draw blood from my left arm. Although the second employee was able to draw blood from my left arm, she left me with a large bruise and knot which remain a week later. The Location in Fairfax ( 3028 Javier Road suite 100) is the worst place I did a drug test .The 2 ladies that work in the front desk don't care if you have appointment, them there system to login is super slow. Bad bad customer service my appointment was in 1:30pm but I don't get in until almost 1:45 pm so what is the point of schedule in appointment and coming 15 minutes, if they are not prepared. I have had the BEST experience at this Labcorp because of one person - Fred. He has always been kind, patient, and professional. And most important, he is always able to draw my blood quickly and on the first try. And that is saying A LOT, because my doctor has difficulty drawing my blood and so many nurses have failed to do so because I have small veins. So the fact that Fred has been able to draw my blood quickly and consistently each time - on the first try, had been a LIFE SAVER for me. Although staff were friendly, one member of staff was not as skilled at blood draws, sadly I had her twice out of the four blood draws I needed and my arm was in pain during the blood draw and after, even a whole week later, this member of staff definitely needs additional training, and maybe should be using a butterfly needle. read more

I'm puzzled as to why this place gets mediocre reviews. It's fast, friendly and professional. I work in the medical field and I understand that more often than not, there is a wait (particularly if you come in unscheduled as a walk in.) Because of the nature of my job, I wanted a 7AM appt specifically, but I couldn't find one available until the next 2.5 weeks. So instead, I decided to risk it (keep in mind that 7-10 AM are their busiest times.) I got up extra early and I walked in right when they opened (7AM). The front desk person (Josephine) was very friendly. She asked me to sign in and sit down, then she asked for my doctors order, ID and insurance. A lot of people were called before me, but that was because they had scheduled appointments. The phlebotomist (Isaiah) was very friendly and a total expert, a single prick in my arm and 9 tubes later I was all done. So, from the moment I was fully checked in 7:10AM until I was completely done with the procedure 7:50AM, a total of 50 minutes. I'd say "not bad for a walk in, given the fact that I've waited a doctors offices for over an hour at times.) There's plenty of parking and it's free! Josephine explained that the testing would be run through my insurance and that if I had a bill, I could pay it online directly to Labcorp. I give this place an A+! read more

I have taken my child for a blood draw here twice, and both times have been (surprisingly) pleasant experiences, given the circumstances. The wait has been reasonable for a walk-in appointment (perhaps twenty to thirty minutes) and the staff has been fantastic, particularly dealing with skittish young ones. The first time, the phlebotomy happened before my child even realized it, and it came with the reward of lots and lots of stickers. The second time was just as efficient and the phlebotomist even made an effort to call the doctor to clarify and confirm which tests were needed, so that there wasn't any confusion in the blood draw. She was very reassuring with my child during the procedure. I would certainly recommend this laboratory to parents whose children need frequent venipuncture. read more

Horrible experience. Contrary to Jimmy T.'s review, the human receptionist was not at all professional. Instead of calling me up to the counter to discreetly inform me that the urine specimen I provided was insufficient, she loudly announced to the entire waiting room, "We need you to give us more urine." Unbelievable! As for the waiting room, it is small and was too crowded. We may be post-pandemic, but COVID is still killing 500 people a day. I'm at this facility for lab work because I have a chronic illness that puts me at high risk; I really don't need to be crammed in to an area with a large number of people who are sitting a foot apart from each other. Very upsetting experience. I made an appt and they didn't have the correct tubes. Then had to go to a different place without an appt. It's a 3 hour glucose test during pregnancy and have to fast the entire time. I just wish they helped me and sympathized more or at least called the other LabCorp to fit me in asap. I'm pleased with my experience at LabCorp! Getting your blood drawn is never fun but it was as good as it could have been here. Parking is a bit of a struggle, there is a parking lot but it seems to fill up pretty fast (I got there at 8am on a Wednesday and there were no spots open). The parking garage would probably fill up as well, but I ended up parking on the ramp to the second level and it was fine. When I got there, there was one person who got there before me, but since I had an appointment they took me first, which was greatly appreciated. I waited for probably 5 minutes max. The phlebotomist was really careful and found my vein on the first try (it helps that my skin is almost translucent though). There was no jostling of the needle or anything, which was impressive given there were 5 vials total. I had/have no bruising (and I usually bruise insanely easily) and no pain. I was in and out of the office in 15 minutes! So easy. read more

My child needed blood work, and she was full of anxiety today. We initially checked in at 9:15, but our pediatrician's office hadn't sent the correct order, so we had to wait. One of the woman at the front was so helpful and persistent about calling the doctor's office for an update. She called them three times before someone finally faxed the correct order, which was two hours later than our original appointment time. At that point we had already left because my child needed to eat something. We called Labcorp (Arlington Blvd. location) and came back just after noon. Upon arrival we were quickly checked in, and Fred drew the blood. He was very kind, friendly, and doing everything possible to distract my daughter (no tears!). It was quick and painless. Everyone at the desk was so friendly, understanding, and I wish I could remember the name of the woman who helped us. She was wonderful. Getting blood drawn is never fun, and taking your child is even more stressful. But the staff at this location was very professional and made it as pleasant as possible. read more

I got there at 7:02 am on a Wednesday. I was already the third patient to check in.. whoa! Makes sense as it's in a business heavy area with people who are probably not trying to miss too much work. The front office staff member (Josie) was so friendly and a nice and efficient. She gets it. The phlebotomist... I forget her name, starts with an 'S', but she was quick and it was almost painless getting my blood drawn. She knows what she is doing. As far as routine lab work goes, my experience was really expedient and pleasant... In and out in 17 minutes. The facility was clean and organized and quiet. Just make sure you park in the back (in the deck) or else you'll have to walk around the whole building to get in if you park in the front. read more

My sister came in for routine bloodwork, she has terrible veins and they usually have a hard time. It was noon on a weekday , the service was quick, they have a self check in, we went in less than 5 min after checking in. Our lab technician, Brandy, was absolutely amazing, great personal skills !!!! She was quick and only one stick! My sister even told her she was amazing! I'm so glad I visited Yelp before deciding on a lab to go to. This place was great. I arrived at 11:15am on a Saturday without an appointment to provide a urine sample and was back in my car at 11:36. Parking is very easy and ample. Checking in is very high-tech and a breeze. I was given a cup, given clear instructions, did my business and left. I'm scheduled to return for blood work, which will require a phlebotomist to see me, so if anything changes based on that experience, I'll update this review. But so far, so good! read more

Super easy experience. I came in after the assistant at the doctor's office couldn't find my veins after trying on both arms. Thank goodness they sent me here. I went straight from my doctor's appointment (no appointment made at LabCorp) and was seen immediately after signing in and giving them payment and insurance info. I told the tech I was a hard stick and she went and got another tech after seeing the bandages on my arms. They got me on the first try. The WORST! I had to come here for a few tests during my pregnancy. It doesn't matter if you make an appointment, you still have to wait as long as all the walk ins. I made an appointment and I still had to wait almost two hours. I finally said something because they started taking people that had shown up without appointments AFTER me. They finally took some blood, without even looking at my sheet. I left to go home and they called me when I was driving, saying I needed to come back because they didn't take enough blood. When I came back the nurse yelled at me, saying, "Why didn't you tell me you needed more blood taken?" How was I supposed to know? It didn't say anywhere on my forms how much blood to expect to be taken or anything like that. The next time I had to go back for a one hour glucose test. For those not familiar with the test, they give you a sugary drink, then you have to come back one hour later and they take blood. I went up to the desk to check in and get my sugary drink (I wanted to start my hour as soon as possible). The person at the desk barked at me to sit down and they'd call me up to take my paperwork. 5 minutes later, they take my paperwork, see that I'm there for the glucose test and give me the drink. Then they told me I couldn't leave for the hour (I was planning on running an errand down the street). The AC was broken in the waiting room and I was pregnant, there was no way I was waiting there for an hour. I waited in the hallway and outside where it was cooler. I had to come back at to get blood drawn at a specific time, and of course when I came back, no one was at the front desk. Five more minutes pass and a guy comes up and tells me I have to wait, before even letting me say anything. He turned to leave, but I told him I needed my blood drawn NOW for the glucose test. They take me back to a room and it's dirty and gross. Bloody gauze and band-aids on the floor. 5 urine samples on the counter! One was open! So freaking disgusting!!! My doctor tried to send me back for one last test but I refused to go. I will NEVER go back to this place. It should be shut down. read more

When I arrived around 11:00am on a Thursday, most of the 13 or 14 chairs in the waiting room were occupied and the two women at reception were busy. One receptionist handed me a form and asked me sign in saying that she'd call me when it was my turn. The office closes at 11:30-12:30 but as long as you arrive before 11:30, they'll take you. A couple people who arrived during the lunch hour were not permitted to wait inside. Although, the receptionist did allow one couple to use the restroom. It didn't seem that the staff used their lunch hour to take lunch, so much as to winnow down the backlog of customers. An hour later, it was my turn. The actual process took maybe 10 minutes and the woman tried my left arm first but could only fill two vials. I said, "oooh," and she immediately asked if it hurt. Most people came out looking fine and there was one teary patient but she was a baby. The staff are overworked, but if there's a problem, I think that they will work with you the best they can. read more

I had to take 2 of my little sisters to get blood work (age 7 and 10) and they were very nervous about the needle. They accept walk-ins so we took a chance and showed up without an appointment. The receptionist was incredibly kind and helped calm my sisters. The man who drew their blood was also AMAZING. He made jokes with them and did it so quickly that one of my sisters didn't even realize he had already drawn her blood (due to her crying so loudly). He was so patient and great with the girls and spoiled them with a LOT of stickers afterward. I will definitely come back to this location! read more
