We stood at the bar for a couple of minutes but the lady behind the bar didn't appear to have any interest in serving us, she didn't even look at up so we headed to the back patio. The patio was spacious with great views of a large picnic area as well as the Yaak River. I didn't catch our server's name but he approached us right away and was very friendly and had a great personality. We were never left waiting for service. We only stopped in for a cocktail and snack. I ordered a dirty martini and the others ordered beer. My martini came out very cold, just the way I asked. We ordered Tater Tots for the table and they were hot and crispy. Yaak River Tavern was a nice spot to stop if you are passing through or a drive up from Libby for the day.

We stayed overnight a couple days, enjoyed the "Pig in the Park" fun with all the bikers around the area and everywhere! It was a great place to meet new people, and the residents of the little place right there by the bar! We thoroughly enjoyed every moment we were there, and having fun with all the awesome people! Eating great food, listening to their stories, and real connections with the wonderful small-town folk who gather there!! That was back in 2008! I hope it hasn't changed at all. I miss everyone I met there too! Our names were "Bev and Dave" but we always said it was "Bave and Dev!" Lol! If you are one of those people we met!! :D I hope everyone is doing well. One of the bartenders asked how his drink was and he said it wasn't great but he would drink it. The middle aged blondish female bartender stepped in and said "You ordered a non alcoholic mojito, it's basically just lemon juice and seltzer water. You are a fucking child." I understand everyone has bad days but that is unacceptable and you chose to work in customer service so at least try to be decent to your customers instead of being rude with the first words that came out of your mouth. We closed our tab and walked out without even finishing our drinks. We will definitely not be going back there ever again. The young man was a very nice guy but the customer service we received from the middle aged lady was enough to leave and never come back.

We had a 1-week stay but late on the 5th night, with my wife in bed and me half naked someone UNLOCKED the deadbolt & door to our room, ready to step in when we said "someone in here!" He apologized saying as he left " they gave me the key saying no one was there." Unsure if that's ignorance or apathy on the management's part, as no admission or apology was offered. The last three nights the loudest intermittent banging sounds came from the room next door, from midnight to 3am, leaving us with very poor sleep. Lastly, the manager's sarcastic sense of humor during all of our interactions was not appreciated and felt passive-aggressive.

Ten cyclists arrived wet and bedraggled after a day of riding in the rain, and the owner personally helped unload all our gear from the van. He offered refreshments to the riders and called a local restaurant within walking distance to make sure they were open for dinner and had space for us. He even allowed us to leave our bicycles in the lobby overnight. The manager also went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable. What a great team. We've never experienced such a welcome! (BTW, this lodge is under new ownership and management. Past reviews no longer apply)
