Great place to get the smog done. The gentleman who runs the place, Elio, is super friendly and accommodating. Open till 5pm on Saturday as well!

Damage done!! Checked with VW on repair costs- starting at $70 depending whether new parts are needed.

I gave two stars because I don't like the older guy who did my car because I find him to be discourteous and unpleasant. Perhaps he's feeling unhappy with his salary and gave me an attitude. Otherwise, he does a very quick service and gave my car a passing grade. Smog inspection cost $58. He was referred to by Ricky from Marina Tires along Washington Blvd 90066. read more

For the past 5 years I have been taking my cars to STATE SMOG TWO for smog. And don't get me wrong, he does the smog and all, but This time I went there and my car did not pass and when I took the car to my mechanic he said the smog guy shouldn't have performed a smog as there was a light (Fuel system) on on the panel.. he did anyway and of course my car did not pass. After getting the car fixed and returning to get it re tested, he wanted me to pay again as the 30 days free re test had passed, which I was ok with, but he wanted to charge me full price for it. I took to another station and got a great service and the guy at the other place told me the price for re testing is not the full price and only 21$ + certificate.. Not going back to STATE SMOG.. sucks as it is close to where I live, but can no longer trust it read more

This guy is a AHole, I showed up today 02/09/2019 at 4:30pm , he doesn't close until 5:00pm. The old guy was seating around. As I got up to his garage entrance he looks my way then quickly looks the other and pretends he didn't see me. So he quickly walks over and shuts his metal gate and I'm standing there watching him , I asked if he was closed he ignored me and kept closing the metal gate, down it went. I was like how is this guy going to get out, there is not door that leads to the waiting room. He was to darn lazy to help me out that he needed to close the gate so he wouldn't help me! Don't go here, these guys are assholes!! I recommend the guy down the street Don, at Unik Smog 12134 W Washington Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90066. That dude is awesome, funny and treats with respect. He is also cheaper he charges I think $60 for a smog check on older then 2000 vehicle and down. This guy at State Smog two charges to much he charges you $90. I used him like 2 years ago then my brother used him two days ago and he still charges $90. read more

Came to get my smog check done. The service was great and at the cheap price too. The guy (maybe owner) who did my smog check was a very nice man and easy to talk to. I was in and out in 10 minutes. Recommend this place to everyone. read more

I called and spoke to David the technician. He was very rude over the phone and quick to hang up. I figured maybe the guys busy so no hard feelings. When i got there, David was not busy at all. In fact he had no customers. He did the test and the car passed. But man, terrible customer service. Every time i asked David a question, he responded with i dont know or I'm not sure. How the hell did this guy pass his smog license test.?any way never going back there again. P/s. If u want fast, friendly, reliable service, go to "In & Out Smog" on Olympic. Blvd. Kinda far, but for sure worth the drive.... read more

First of all... these guys are open on freaking SUNDAY!! Right there you get ten stars. I'm not a proponent for keeping people working every waking moment... but when you have two kids and you're coming out of holiday madness its convenient to have a smog station that is actually open on a weekend. I showed up 30mins before closing and they banged it out right quick. and it was only $50!! That might be the cheapest CA smog test ever. So ten stars.. deduct 3 stars because SMOG STATION. Then 1 star for the dollar operated massage chair that only belongs in a nail salon. And then a 1 star deduction for not serving popcorn. 5 STAR SMOG!! read more

The gentleman on the phone said the transmission fluid is for life unless I'm towing or carrying heavy loads. When I questioned why I see that it's recommended online he says that dealers will recommend this service all day but if you check the Toyota maintenance manual it says you don't need it. Man! I haven't even been to this shop yet and I'm already getting a good feeling about this place. It's a bit more expensive for an oil change than other places that have quoted me, but I like that they use factory parts including Toyota oil filters. I'll update this review once I get the car in for my first visit. Stay tuned.... 6/29/26 - Brought my Sienna in for an oil change + complimentary 30-point inspection (since it was my first time there). Jared took the van for a spin, brought it back and lifted it up. They found a little oil seepage coming out of the transfer case. I let them know that I did see a transfer case drain/fill on the CarFax report before I bought it. Jared thinks they just didn't torque it properly so they were going to retorque and clean up around the area and keep an eye on it. Worst case scenario, they would need to order a new drain plug gasket and I'd have to come back to get it replaced. Thankfully, the drain plug just needed to get tightened. I was in and out in almost exactly an hour just as Robert promised. Thanks The Toy Shop team!! Pro Tip: they are booked out at least a week in advanced so make your appointment ASAP!

State Smog Two is hands down one of the best businesses I've ever visited! From start to finish, the experience was smooth, friendly, and professional.
