First, they lured me in with an introductory rate, but made no mention that it was an introductory rate. My rent has increased 42% in 16 months. The possibility of rent increases are in the contract, but that kind of hike needs to be made abundantly clear from the start ("this is an introductory price ..." . I was extremely surprised at all of the increases I've had in just over one year's time. But, they got me. Access to storage is not much longer than normal business hours, which can be problematic. What's worse, they require you to provide proof of insurance or they will automatically bill you for monthly insurance. Unfortunately their central office and local office are not always on the same page, so I will receive notices multiple times a year from each for me to send them my insurance policy, even after I've already done it. In 16 months I've had to be on the phone with them somewhere in the 5 to 10 times range with billing or insurance problems, and add to that multiple emails. I send them stuff and they conveniently don't receive it. Last time, the proof I showed wasn't enough and they needed the declarations page from my actual policy and additional insurance info. I've got to contact my insurance company and find out the information that they want. All of this so that they can charge me an extra $12 a month. This sort of thing happens multiple times per year. Absolute madness. But I have so much stuff in storage that I would have to hire a moving truck to get it out and into a new unit with a new company. They have me over a barrel, and they know it. What an absolute mistake I made renting from this company. Huge regrets. This is the absolute worst experience I've ever had renting from a storage space, and I have been doing this for well over 15 years. Save your time (so, so much time) and money and stay away from this company.

Her positive attitude is contagious. She helped me with my storage needs. She was very thorough. She walked me through the property. The property is very nice. It looks brand new and extremely clean. It is centrally located, and unlike most climate controlled facilities. That one is actually cold inside. One of the things I noticed while touring the property was Renee knew all the renters that were on the property by name. I thought was wonderful. Throughout my three visits to the property to Renée was on site. One thing I will mention is being a store manager. I seen her personally with the cleaning cart and gloves on cleaning storage units cleaning as well as the facilities. As a manager myself, I thought her leading my example was amazing. She also checked on me to make sure I was doing OK because it was hot outside while unloading my U-Haul unit. She's very hands-on. She has a great personality. This store facilities is a very lucky to have her. I would highly recommend the facility based off of how clean it is, how well kept it, it's very centrally located in Phoenix. This facility is in a great location in Central PHX though it is a tad difficult to find as the address says Camelback but there is no signage visible from the street. This place is at the back of a huge mall, and can only be seen from 20th St E as you approach CB from the south. Being new to the city it took me a 1/2 hour to locate it and I had to ask a friendly Postal worker, though now that I think of it, one should be careful about approaching postal workers as they did inspire the phrase "Going Postal" and also this is the Guns-R-Fun state! I am a hold-out on the whole Smartphone craze and I have to admit it would've come in handy. I never pay more than $50 for a phone as I tend to lose/drop-in-toilet/forget in swimsuit pocket/smash in fit of anger- my mobile phones. I also didn't have their number with me, as I tend to be impetuous and rash, and rush off without planning, much to my annoyance of self. Though my "Wallet-Watch-Keys-Phone" pre-departure checklist is helping with this problem. Moving fwd I will add "Directions" and perhaps "Phone Number" to that list. There is a huge sign above the parking ramp down to the parking and office. It is an underground storage facility which adds security. It is climate controlled. Quite clean inside with new-ish walls/doors. I did notice that the place smells a bit like BO and typical a-million-different-stacks-of-peoples'-junk mixed with a soupcon of failed co-habitation and a dash of Broken Dreams. Not unpleasant but noteworthy. The woman I spoke to on the phone was very helpful and they offer the first month for $1. There is no minimum rental period you just pay it monthly and give 48hrs notice to vacate. I believe they pro-rate the days and refund unused monthly portions. Each tenant is issued a gate code which is entered into a touch pad that will open the doors and open the elevator. The hours are decent and if you didn't remember to buy a lock they will sell you one. I like this storage facility. So I'm off there now to visit the Tree!

I went online looking for answers and the ai operator tried to gaslight me. There's always someone new in the office and none nearly as knowledgeable as Chris. The front gates have been left open after hours. There have been units broken into, from inside the building. It's not as clean and orderly and a lock is now on the only trash dispenser on the property. You're worried about the trash, and not the safety of me or my belongings!! And your dramatic price hikes, without warning, are criminal. I will no longer recommend this place.

I discovered a dead one in the container and as you can imagine the smell was atrocious. It took a long while before I could eliminate that odor. There were rat droppings and shredded material throughout the locker. The staff seemed helpful and friendly. Indication is management is aware of the rat problem but it remains unresolved. I went elsewhere.

I have used this storage center for over 20 years. I am not sure when US Storage took over, but…read moresince then the service has deteriorated. When I worked the only time I could go to the unit was during the noon hour. This was before there was a door that could be open with code. 9 times out of 10 the office would be closed and I couldn't get in. The new door made access easier except when it didn't work, which was more than a few times. Last weekend I was unable to enter because the door was down and the staff took the weekend off. This was incredibly inconvenient and cost me a weekend of Christmas decoration. When I finally was able to contact a live person a very weak apology was given. My unit has been broken into twice. They did make adjustments to the door which seems to have solved that problem. The cost of the unit goes up every year and the service goes down. Lates fees are oppressive so pay on time. Don't expect any compensation from them if you can't access unit. If you wonder why I'm still with them the answer is I am disabled and I would have to first find another unit and then hire a mover. As soon as I am able that is what I will do. To summarize the customer service here is the worst I have ever had to deal with. If by some chance someone from US Storage try's to call me, I have tried to change the contact number multiple times . Every time they call they call the line they told me they would change.
