I'm not one to review these kind of places, but wow this such a hole in the wall location that gives the old time, Mexican tiendita vibe in every way. The main reason why we go is for the pan dulce, which is tasty and the sizes are great. My personal favorite is the bolillo with cream cheese and jalapeño, especially when it's fresh. We have also tried the tamales, which were absolutely massive and full of meat. Everyone here is respectful and kind, and quick to get you in and out of the store with what you need. I am glad that we have a store like this here in Beaumont especially after moving here recently :) read more

Be careful when you buy stuff here since most items don't have a price listed and you don't get an itemized receipt, The receipt only shows the total, so there is no way you can verify how much you paid for each item. They very well can over charge you without you knowing it. THAT IS NOT RIGHT. read more

I have gone here numerous times to get tamales among other foods. The food was always decent and worth the money. But today was an absolute let down. The tamales were very bland. The beans and rice had little to no flavor. The masa tasted like water. The pork tasted like it was boiled in just water without any seasoning at all. The asada burrito had very little meat. It was more of a bean and rice burrito that had asada accidentally added and was taken off the burrito. The quality didn't just slip, slide or go down a little bit. It took a step off the highest cliff there is. I will not be going back there again. I suggest going elsewhere to order food. Order tacos and a asada torta. The rice was sour and the meat even smell bad. Took a bite of the torta and had to spit it out. Weist of money (not cheap at all) How would anybody sell this garbage? " Amazing Small Shop " I went to the Stop N Shop Market in Beaumont, CA and was amazed at the number of products available in the Market and all the different items in a small Market. They have great Tacos and Burritos available to purchase and they have a small but large variety of Butcher Shop meats. They also have freshly baked Mexican Bread varieties. Stop N Shop also has a huge variety of alcoholic liquor available. The owners work nicely as the store looks very organized. They have a lot of items available in the Stop N Shop Market. The liquor store portion is perfectly fine it's unfortunate you can't leave a separate rating for the two business'. However the restaurant portion sold me a half dozen tamales today and all were undercooked. The masa was like some soft mushy dough, then it wouldn't stay together spilling dough all over the place, and just being an inconvenient mess. Went here for the first time in search of tamales, well they had them but I would definitely look some place else. I got the tamales home and they were huge, as big as a burrito but it was all masa. He pulled that high price out of his ass because there's no way it would be an even number like that. Believe it or not there isn't very much good Mexican food in Beaumont. This place has been a solid option for tacos and burritos in a pinch. The carnitas street tacos are one of my favorites here. I place my order over the phone and it's done pretty quick. read more

I frequent the store quite often and love to purchase their chicken and ranchera meat from the meat counter. The chips and salsa are great to pair with the meat. By far best meat I've ever purchased. I actually only purchase from there!!! I figured if that meat is good the taqueria must be just as good. Well I was more then wrong!!! Was craving asada fries and looking at the image online I figured why not!!! Ugh the meat was awful and I mean awful. There was no cheese what so ever, had to add cheese from home. this isn't the same ol liquor store it was back in the day. The carniceria is great , good prices the chicken is awesome, marinated and cheaper than buying it plain from staters. I haven't had anything bad from there. the staff is customer service oriented and are there to make sure you get everything for your bbq, from beer, liquor , and marinated meats, to fresh veggies. I shop at this store frequently. I buy their meats to make tacos, burritos and quesadillas. I love their guacamole too, and their salsas. I've never had a problem with them, even though they are on the pricey side. Yesterday for the first time in the 3 years that we've lived here, we ordered tacos on taco Tuesday. I was not happy. The flavor of the tacos was fine. We ordered asada, chicharron, carnitas and barbacoa. First thing that went wrong was that they got the order wrong. For some reason whoever took my order over the phone, heard chicken when I said chicharron. That was disappointing. The only reason I didn't send my husband back to fix it was because everyone was ready to eat, so we just kept them. I really wanted to try the chicharron though. Another thing I didn't like was that the tacos all had different amounts of meat. Some had more than others. I also hated the fact that some barely had onion and cilantro. One of the things that makes a taco delicious, is the onion and cilantro. It doesn't taste as good without that. All in all, it wasn't the best experience. I had been looking forward to eating here because everyone has such great things to say about their cooked food, but I was left truly unsatisfied. This spot has 5 stars for a reason. It's clean, the meat is the best n the dudes workin here are the nicest dudes you'll find. One of which who has a great beard accidently left a few dollars from a previous transaction on my bill so he refunded me and hooked me up with salsa n pico de gallo.
