I don't understand why there's so many negative reviews at this location. Maybe it's because I come early mornings. Or probably cause people will take time out of their day to complain rather than to give a compliment. Shelves were stocked, I grabbed a sushi tray, the person at the sushi counter was super helpful. Grabbed meats from the meat counter, they didn't have the burger patties I wanted so the butcher told me that it was fine, to finish my shopping while he made more for me. Plenty of produce, picked up some stuffed mushrooms from their cut fruit and veggie station. I just popped them into my air fryer and were quick to serve for game day. Restrooms were clean, line had 3 people ahead of me and they were quick to open a second lane once more customers got behind me. read more

Hi went there on my own to get the item the other store I didn't see any Easter Sunday afternoon. They're looks finished remodeling and got little better experience. Some of staff was not too happy. A kinda nice man worked stocking where juices are helped me located the pumpkin pie spice and then walked to get the SB bottled water and this time they had in the cooler. Cashier young man Bryan (says on receipt didn't wear badge or smiled) waited on me with a greeting Hi and then "have a good one". They need to enforce staff to wear proper work attire, a badge no phones used, and smile!!!! I'll try not to go back there since only one person doesn't work there anymore who I'll be nameless! AVOID THIS LOCATION AT ALL COSTS AFTER 6PM. Every time I come here the lines are always all the way down the aisles with only 2 checkout lanes only. I kindly asked the manager on duty if they had anyone to open another lane and they said this was all they had. It's like this every time i come to location at this time and it's totally unacceptable that they put their customers and staff through this. Gone are the days where staters cared about their customers and employees. They can afford to remodel their stores but apparently can't afford to have enough staff in the evening. I am a huge fan of Stater Bros. and shop the Lake Arrowhead, Pasadena and Yorba Linda stores when my work or appointments take me there. My medical offices moved next to the shopping center that Montclair Stater Bros is in. I was excited at 1st. Then I went in and purchased steaks and my beloved pepper bacon from the meat counter. I like shopping here but my only issue is that for some reason at night they only have one register open which wouldn't be an issue but they only use the express lane which is ridiculously short for doing regular shopping. Open up a regular lane instead if only going to use one lane so we don't have to wait to put all the groceries on the belt a little at a time and can actually help you out by having an empty cart to put the rung up items in. It would save time and your lane probably wouldn't back up as fast. read more

Don't go to this location for deli sandwiches. The manager said that compared to Sprouts they are not equipped to make sandwiches. I went in for three sandwiches and the gentleman behind the counter told me he could only make one sandwich per customer. If I wanted to feed three I had to order a sub 24 hours in advance. The manager eventually told him to make me 3 sandwiches, but he didn't know how to make any sandwiches and when he came back with bread there were three bags each with only two pieces left in each bag and told me two had to be on wheat and one on sourdough. Knowing my family didn't want wheat I politely declined and left the store. But I haven't stopped thinking about this, why put in a big beautiful deli and not be "equipped" to make sandwiches? I'm shocked to see this location with low reviews. I've been coming to this grocery store since I was in diapers and they have a huge selection, is always clean, have friendly employees, and accept coupons. They are known for the quality of their meats and they have a lot of to-go meal options at the deli. Today my husband and I stopped in for some supplies to make a salad for an event. We also ended up grabbing some pre-made sandwiches on Hawaiian rolls and they were delicious! I love their chicken fingers and potato wedges (and now I'm craving them). There's a huge parking lot in front and decent hours to grab what you need to make any dish or recipe. As I was walking out the door a person who worked at stater brothers who seem to be a person stocking shelves and doesn't have any thing better to do. Decides it was his duty even though his duty was to stock shelves. This man accused me of shoplifting and I showed him my pockets and he kept asking me and he was approaching me very aggressively and didn't let me leave the store I showed him I did not have anything and he continued to follow me out the door in which he had no business doing legally it is not legal to follow somebody out the door he is not security and he is not anything but somebody who stock shelves. I love this stater brothers, they are my favorite neighborhood grocery store and my family will not go anywhere else. I have grown up my whole life shopping here with my mom and this store never disappoints in customer service. The staff always has a great attitude and are pleased to help any customer with questions or concerns they have. I also have to personally commend Erica and Mayra for being a great service when I forget where something is or looking for suggestions/alternatives if they are out of something. On busy days, this store handles customer traffic pretty well too but I know that sometimes it can get difficult to keep the line going, which are usually customer errors anyways but for the most part they are speedy! read more

I've literally shopped here my whole life since my mothers house is down the street but every time I have shopped here in recent years there is an issue. I went in today to buy 1 item, go stand in line at the "express lane 15 items or less" and the guy in line had 2 full baskets, I dont know who was more of an a**hole, the cashier who let him or the guy who saw me standing in express lane and not letting me use it. I move a couple lanes over and the cashier is talking to a couple about the destruction derby in Chino, I was next in line not realizing that they had already paid but were just having a conversation for at least 2 minutes before I moved to next register with 3 people in line. After 2 people went through, the previous cashier asked If I wanted to go to her lane, COMPLETELY oblivious that I was in her lane listening to her gossip for a couple minutes prior. The employees here could get away with this behavior because they were only market in town for years, but now they opened a Superior down the road, one way the other, this stores about to learn a lesson...
