Very clean and organized. Super good service. Staff friendly and helpful compared to other branches we've been to. Got some food from deli department. Huge Burrito for $9. Tasty and better than most fast food chain of same kind of food. Mac and cheese was good too. Different take on pretzel by Hawaiian bread. Soft and sweet of course with hint of salt. On 4/1/26 I went in to go shopping to get a couple things as I was done I proceeded to go to the check out where I was in line behind a mom and daughter and when it was my turn to get my items scanned another lady got in line behind me and the cashier Kimberly started talking to the lady behind me during the whole transaction didn't acknowledge me until I had already paid and when I walked away then she yelled if I wanted my receipt, so rude unprofessional! read more

Alright, this place is affordable, I got some eggs and they were 12$! And especially since your probably getting other groceries it'll be more expensive. I wanted to come on and write a review about the cashier, April. She truly deserves a reward for her kindness towards the community. There was a gentleman who had multiple different payment forms to pay for his groceries and his card was getting declined on the last $.10 that he owed and she was so kind enough to pull out her own money and pay for the 10 cents. Some of the cashier are rude, they don't care and just want you to pay and leave. You ask a question, they ignore it. And digital deals don't work, even though the cashier said it did. Considering the cost of food it would be nice if advertised deals actually worked! When I tried to come back and fix it, they blamed the computer and moved on. No fix, no help, no apology! Rude! I came another time and the cashier shoved my items, continued speaking to her coworker, made me wait then rushed me through when she realised I was still there. Subject: Employee incident at Staters on Yucaipa Blvd on 10-29-21, resulting in complaint to the Corporate office. While shopping, I moved my cart aside to make room for a mother and her 2 little daughters to go by. The kids were dressed in very colorful Halloween costumes, one being a unicorn, a costume my little niece would like very much. They passed by & I continued on. At this time I heard a very tall, thin, African American employee say, "Take your time looking at the little girls." I immediately went to Brock, the store manager, with my complaint. Brock, however, is an ignorant and incompetent MORON. Not only did he fail to address the issue correctly, he initially gave me the name of the WRONG employee. As soon as I arrived home, I contacted Staters Corporate office, who returned my e-mail within the hour. I made it clear that I will move forward with a lawsuit against Staters claiming 'defamation of character' in the event that Corporate fails to address the issue concerning this employee. I received a phone call from Shelly, a Corporate Regional Manager, who did EXCELLENT work while looking into my complaint, WHICH INCLUDED A REVIEW OF STORE VIDEO. I am very happy with Shelly's response in this matter. However, in the event that I have another experience like I had on 10-29-21, I WILL IMMEDIATELY TAKE THE MATTER TO AN ATTORNEY FOR A LAWSUIT CLAIMING DEFAMATION OF CHARACTER. I am writing about a particular incident yesterday on 08/13/24 with respect to the Assistant Manager. Her name is Vanessa Roth. I had shopped at several locations that day. This was the last stop I had because I wanted some fried chicken for dinner. I went to the quick check out stand and paid with cash, I have a new wallet and it is a bit tricky, I had got a hundred dollars at another store and wrapped it in a receipt. Apparently it fell out of my wallet and landed on the floor and fell. The cashier randomly thought it was trash and tossed it. When I got home I was frantic because I noticed my receipt and the cash was missing. My husband suggested I call Stater Bros. because this was the last place I went where I opened my purse. When I talked to Vanessa later, I explained I lost a receipt and cash and if possible could she help? Not only did she have to research this situation, but dig through other trash since it had been emptied outside! Low and behold this young lady went the extra mile and saved me, from my grief or feeling like I was starting to question my abilities. Her happiness to do her job and empathy because she stated " if it was my hundred dollars I would want someone to do the same thing for me" really shows what kind of an employee Stater Bros Markets has on their team. I recently went into Store23 and had such a great Experience! The customer service was Amazing! While walking around the store I was greeted and asked if I needed any help by multiple employees. My husband and I used to love using this store, BUT--last time we were there I needed to use the women's restroom and there was a man hiding behind the entrance door and an employee who knew he was there and was standing by the sink laughing and having a jolly time with him. I've been visiting this store since I've moved to Yucaipa. It seems as of late the checkers are getting more & more rude. The don't even acknowledge that you are standing directly in front of them. She was very attentive and helpful with helping me purchase a birthday cake for my son. You wouldn't let my family in because we didn't have masks. We had our 9 month old with us. And as I sat outside while my husband went in with a makeshift face covering I watched COUNTLESS people shop around with their nose hanging out of their mask or not wear one at all because they snuck passed you , (store manager Jessica) and then put one on as they were checking out. I was uncomfortable in the store from beginning to end. I went after the sun had set- the parking lot was poorly lit and there were people loitering outside. Inside was your average staters. There was one really nice guy, older dude, he asked me about my day and all that. Gotta give him a shout out. Old dude a produce- good job! This doesn't reflect you. I was gettin my goods in an aisle when two gentlemen came down, I turned to see them. I don't want to be a judgmental jerk, but something about them made me get chills. They were dirty and looked like avid drug users. Not that drug users can't shop there- I just felt uncomfortable. As I kept shopping it became more like "world of Walmart" and I felt like I entered the twilight zone. The female staff members gave me dirty looks. Which is unnecessary. I just want my butter, thank you. At check out, this guy came in the store and knew the workers. He was chatting with them and then joined his parents in line. So I stand in the same long line, because nothing else is open. As soon as a cashier who knows him sees him waiting, she gives him the "come here" finger, as if she is only checking him out. Not the rest of the people waiting. I didn't know if I was supposed to leave to the next line or be left waiting. It was awkward. So, I joined this guy in his special line. She talked to him and was super friendly. I tried talking to her and she was not having it. The bagger was chill. Leaving was sketchy- I kept my eyes peeled because it was the perfect scenario to get kidnapped. In one word- uncomfortable. Just an update. Unfortunately Aldi's was closed so I had to run in to get some items. The store was clean. As usual, not a word was spoken by employees that walked by unless they were talking to each other. Maybe customer service skills like, "are you finding everything you're looking for", or "hi, how are you?". Best part was checking out and the guy bagging the groceries was carrying on a conversation about when he gets his next paycheck he's going to be buying a car but just not sure about it. The checker though was very accommodating and offered him advice to just wait and think it over. I think I got a "have a good evening" from the checker.......don't recall. This store is always impeccably clean, and I have never once had a bad experience there. The employees have always been very helpful and caring, I appreciate the fact that I am left to shop in peace until I have a question. The cashiers are friendly and personable, the people stocking the store are knowledgeable. Is it in the "questionable" part of Yucaipa? Yes. However that doesn't effect the quality of the store or the employees working there. Can you imagine what they see probably on a daily basis being in the center of crackhead nation in Yucaipa? People working in the front are always very nice and good at bagging your groceries. VERY BAD SERVICE, AND A STUPID ASS OF A STORE MANAGER. So, I drove all the way from San Diego to care for my mom (who has breast cancer) and when I got to her house she left me a few checks with her name signed to them, and a note asking me to do some shopping for her. I went to Stater Brothers to get a few things, and my bill was under $50. When I gave them her SIGNED check with my ID (showing the same last name) they refused to take it. I then spoke to the store manager and explained everything to him, and that I could not wake her up just to get her ID and bring it all the way back. He pretty much had a "too bad, so sad" attitude. What a dick! And he didn't even offer any words for my mom, which decent people usually do just out of respect. I told him my family would NEVER shop there again, and after telling my mom she was upset and agreed. I mean, I grew up in this hick town, and my family had been shopping at Staters since the early 80s!! No more!! I went to Vons down the street and spoke to the store manager there. She was understanding, polite, and let me get the groceries. I hope karma strikes that disgusting Stater Brothers manager hard. All in all, it was BAD customer service, and I was treated rudely. Yucaipa stater bros, like to play tricks, they will have one price on the shelf and than when you get to the checkstand it's different, I don't like the paperless coupon thing, it's very confusing, you allways have to confirm the prices because you can't tell for sure. They are allways moveing things around which is very frustrating, I have left and gone to other stores for that reason. most of the younger employees talk too much and gossip amoung there selves, I don't want to hear who slept with who and what party they went to. they never in my experience say hello to us or thank you, they could care less if we are there or not. read more

I recently moved to Yucaipa, with my family. And let me tell you... the customer service, at this store, is so bad, I'd rather drive up to Bryant, or even back to Redlands. First off, the employees are too busy talk to each other or friends to be bothered. I have been in there at least a dozen times and have never been offered help. Once, I was nearly run over by the boy collecting carts (I had to practically jump out of the way) and the boy didn't even acknowledge me. The last time I was there, was the final straw. I don't like having bent boxes or cans, because you don't know if it has damaged the food. But this is how my shopping trip ended... Me: (speaking ONLY to my sister-in-law) Darn it. I grabbed a bent box. Cashier: Oh no! It's not gonna taste as good. (very sarcastically.) Me: It... might... not. (just as sarcastically.) Cashier: Only in America are people so spoiled that they can't have bent boxes. It wasn't like I asked for a different box. Or refused to pay full price. I simply made a comment. And I wasn't even talking to him. That is not only poor customer service, but it's just plain rude.
