We stopped in Yucaipa on our way to Los Angeles from Phoenix specifically to try Roast the Dead Coffee, and they did not disappoint. We love all things spooky, and the décor was amazing, packed with iconic horror film characters and such a fun atmosphere. I ordered a matcha latte, which was pretty good, and everyone in my group loved their drinks. I'll absolutely come back the next time I'm in the area.I'm giving them 4 stars only because the service felt a bit lacking. There was no greeting when we walked in, and the interaction was very basic. A little more warmth would've made the experience perfect.

Service and vibes are immaculate, but be mindful that this isn't like your everyday coffee shop (affordability). This is another location as they have one in Riverside as well which I've been to and there's no complaints from me this far.

Drinks were bomb af, we got the fog with salted caramel and La churrona. Service was quick and efficient we did not wait long!! As for the ambiance let me just say, go it's worth the trip and for horror movie fanatics you'll love it even more! I make my trip over here!

I love coming here when I get the chance ! I've so far tried their matcha drink , the Freddy red velvet one , and the children of the oats drink (my new personal favorite) and every single one of them was 10/10 !! Employees are always so sweet and professional and the vibe of this place is always welcoming even with the spooky elements . It can get pretty packed in there since it's a small shop and limited parking space if it's busy just FYI so be prepared to park somewhere nearby or across the street if needed .

The drinks are delicious and the atmosphere is awesome. If you love horror movies you have to check it out! We got three different drinks and loved them all. Service was fast and they were very friendly recommending drinks and walking us through the menu.

I happened to be out this way so my girlfriend asked me to stop by and pick her up a coffee drink on the way back home. We have been here several times and this is a must see place for horror movie fans. The decor is amazing with so many horror characters featured and on this visit there was an additional Christmas theme since it's December. All of the drinks have fun horror themed names and can be customized. She wanted the ginger dead cookie cold brew with almond milk. I'm not a coffee guy but they also have teas and lemonade. The Creepsickle strawberry shortcake lemonade is one of the best and creamiest I've ever had. Service has always been fast and friendly. It is pretty small and there is a limit of eight people inside at once. The outside of the building even has paintings of horror movie characters.

Honestly this is my favorite coffee spot. I make it a point to drive out once a year for Halloween time. Cutest and spookiest set up. Parking conveniently located next door to the shop. Cute horror mural on the side of the building. Front of the shop is just as cute and amazing. If you go early you avoid lines. Even if there is a line there is vendors off to the side to keep guest busy. Once you go inside, its small but mighty. Heavily decorated with Halloween decorations. Old 80s movie icons everywhere. All drinks are themed by Horror movie characters. There is also lots of merch inside. The staff is very pleasant and helpful. They advertise local events as well. Must stop and see for Halloween or just all year around!

We took a trip far away from us to check out Roast the dead coffee. This was back in 2021, though we haven't been back I am wanting to make another trip to experience it all over again. The props were amazing, loved the spooky vibe and the coffee selections were great too. Though I'm a simple gal and get iced coffees, it was very tasty.

ordered the shark attack and the voorhies. great aesthetic for fans of horror films. we visited on a Sunday, and it was pretty busy. space is limited, as such, they only allow eight people in the shop at a time. Expect a wait. 9/10 overall experience.

Halloween vibes 365 days of the year! Hand crafted with a huge variety to choose from. Highly recommend getting the Myers Fog for a festive fall flavor

As a classic horror films fan , I knew I had to visit this coffee shop .. on my first visit I was pleasantly impressed, not only is the horror decorations on point, but their creative drinks are definitely worth trying ! They have a great selection and variety of drinks which is why I know I'll be returning soon. I tried the "Regan" which is an iced matcha w whip cream almond milk . It's a classic drink I've had at other coffeehouses (same taste), yet the experience of this cozy location added that special ingredient to my day . It was such a one of a kind place, super cool to go with some friends , even year round. Although in October this fits the theme perfectly.! Parking is very easy to access and although the indoor capacity is limited they do offer outside benches and an open layout for anyone that wants to stick around . Don't forget to check out their cool murals by the parking area! Not the best option if you have to work or study . There's too many cool distractions! Their employees are very patient and open minded about sharing their recommendations.

This was such a fun place to visit! I got a Friday the 13th themed drink & it was really good. I love when the atmosphere & drink quality match each other, sometimes it can just be gimmicky but not this place. Sick life size Jason, Michael Myers, & Freddy animatronics & it felt like a mini Halloween maze or something in there. I'd love to go back sometime!!

Ask the Community - Roast The Dead Coffee

Planning a motorcycle ride with my girls from San Diego. Are bathrooms available?

Is this a place where you can sit down to study or work?

Not really. There are a few benches for seating, and it's dark inside. It's not that type of coffee shop.

Are you open 7 days a week?

I know when I go it's open, I know they just updated their hours a couple weeks ago.

    Are pets allowed?

Yes! They even offer a Cujo (whip cream) for your dog

Are there any drinks that don't have any coffee or caffeine in them? Are lemonades the only fun drink without caffeine in their menu?

Yes they do! They have teas and lemonade. My favorite is the Killer Klownz Lemonade!

Are there any sugar free syrup or sauce options?

They have "skinny witch" lattes which I'm pretty sure are sugar free.

Is the coffee shop dog friendly?

Yes! They even have a drink called the Cujo for pups.

Anybody order non-coffee drinks? If so, what did you get and would you recommend the drink that you got?

Yes, you can order any drink non-coffee. Everything is yummy

Do we have to make reservations? Or are walk-ins okay?

    Walk ins

Are there vegan options? I don't see anything on the menu that is labeled vegan?

    Yes there are Vegan options

    Is this place kid friendly?

Well, they've got a moving Freddy Krueger figure and other horror-themed decor, so I guess that depends on your kid.

    Is it a Drive thru?

    No it's a walk up

Are there vegan friendly options or dairy free milk substitutions?

yes they have a couple of non dairy milk options and also tea options

Cutest coffee shop ever, with dogs welcome!…read more OK, this is honestly the cutest little coffee shop I've ever been to. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by the sweetest staff, especially Hannah, who shared the adorable backstory of the place. The owners have a dog named Chai and struggled to find coffee shops that allowed dogs, so they decided to open their own... and that's how Chai Coffee Shop was born! You can definitely feel the dog-loving vibe everywhere, from the décor to the fact that pups are actually hanging out inside. Within minutes, one of the dogs came over and licked my toes (unexpected but hilarious ). It's such a warm, welcoming environment where people and pets can just relax. The ambiance is perfectly balanced bright and social up front, with a quieter, cozier section in the back if you want to read, study, or work. I had the cold brew, which was fully customizable. I told the server I wanted it sweet, and she nailed it! so delicious! I also tried their pumpkin cornbread (not quite pumpkin bread, not quite a muffin, but so good). They even have a secret menu I haven't tried yet, but I definitely will next time. Their espresso machine was temporarily down when I visited, but it didn't bother me at all, plenty of great options regardless and should be back up by Wednesday. Prices are super reasonable and right in line with other coffee shops, but the vibe here is what really sets it apart. It's cozy, dog-friendly, and just genuinely joyful. Can't wait to come back soon!
