Eventually reached out to this place to get some work done after another company was a no call/no show. They fit me in within a week which was nice. Communication was a little rough, so I found myself having to follow up myself to make sure my appointment was taken care of. A little more organization would take this company to the next level. On service day, the worker ended up making an error that I warned him about before he did it... ended up needing to be fixed the following day. No Integrity, Dismissive, and Unprofessional Roofer! In March 2024, I hired Statewide Roofing Specialist to repair the roof at my office that had some leak spots. Terry Cribbs, the owner, came out, gave an estimate, and eventually did the repair. They finished the project within that day and was paid promptly after. In August 2024, Hurricane Debby came through Winston-Salem and I noticed 3 water spots on my ceiling tiles. I sent photos and expressed my concerns and requested someone come out to fix the leaks. After a few correspondences with Mr. Cribbs and a couple of times of "I will send someone out tomorrow, or this date" no one ever came out. It turns out, unless you get the 5 or 10 years extended warranty, which I did not, they will not follow up on their workmanship. Despite the NC roofer law, all roofers are responsible to repair any defective or improper labor of their work for up to one year. He did not honor this law after 5 months of the repair. Needless to say, there has been no communication with Statewide Roofer since August. I am posting this review so that if anyone is looking for a roofer, just be mindful that if you don't get the extended warranty, you might not get any responses from the owner. Hopefully, now that I have posted my experiences, maybe you will have a better experience and they will honor their work as they should. In spring of 2018 we had a new roof put on by(Statewide rooding company (Terry). From day one the shingles fell off and he refused to provide us with warranty paper work. Shortly after work was done my home began to leak badly in several places. When part of the shingles in back were lifted there were large holes in the roof where he just patched over with shingles. Since the roof has been put on its been one problem after another, costing us more and more money. The job done on our roof is beyond HORRIBLE and when we would call he would never pick up. March 2022: I was out and about over the weekend and saw the phone number for Statewide Roofing Specialist on their truck. I decided to call even though I hadn't heard of them or read any reviews. Terry answered the phone himself and scheduled me for an estimate the following Monday morning. Terry arrived on time for the estimate. After taking some quick measurements of my roof, he quoted a very reasonable price. He explained what comes standard with his installation. He explained to me the benefits of the products and accessories I could choose from in terms of upgraded underlayment and weather shield. He offered pricing options with or without a ridge vent. I appreciated that he didn't try to pressure me or upsell me. He even gave me a quick education on NC building code and told me what the minimum options were I could select and still have a roof that met code and had a good warranty. He ended up doing the installation the very next morning. His crew arrived early and worked steadily. Even though Terry did not complete the work himself, you can tell that the company has that small business/family-owned feel. (At one point during the day, one of Terry's family members dropped by to drop off some extra roofing nails for the crew.) I reached out to Terry by phone with a question during the installation, and he was available. Terry arrived before the crew left, and he got up on the roof and inspected the work, and he made sure I was satisfied with everything. The crew did a thorough job of cleaning up, using a magnetic broom to get up roofing nails off of my driveway and my plant bed, and a blower to blow off my roof and blow out my gutters. Terry provided an itemized invoice, showing all of the products that he installed and even the quantity/square footage for each. He also provided product pages describing the features of the GAF products and accessories he installed and paperwork for the warranty. Overall, I was very impressed with Terry's transparency. You can tell he runs his company with integrity. Another company I received an estimate from said that my roof needed 11 square shingles. Terry's estimate was that I needed just 9 square, even accounting for waste. Turns out my roof took just under 9 square as Terry had accurately estimated. I highly recommend Statewide Roofing to anybody in the triad needing a quality roof replacement. read more

Terry showed up same day I called, and we were very thankful as a storm was coming in. He checked for moisture areas and was the first to actually look in the attic to see what was causing our metal roof to leak. He explained it all very clearly and worked hard to clean up the mess and get it tightly sealed. He then went around and tightened all the loose screws, even working well after-hours. We had been through the ringer with companies flaking on us and were so relieved to have found a genuine, hard-working roof specialist. They are genuinely kind people that want to help, I highly recommend and he'll be our first call from now on. read more
