Mr. Ratley and his crew came in, removed the old roof and cleaned gutters in the morning and had the new roof on by late afternoon. They were professional and tidy giving us an incredible sense of security. I remember when we bought this house in 2013, Mr. Ratley was one of the people who came by offering a new roof. We remembered him, not because of the offer but because he was the only one that honestly told us we had a few more years out of our current roof so there was no need to rush if we had other expenses. We did wait and four years later we were astounded and mentioned that the price he quoted was less than the original price. He told us that he always passes his savings on to his customers. Communication was a little rough, so I found myself having to follow up myself to make sure my appointment was taken care of. A little more organization would take this company to the next level. On service day, the worker ended up making an error that I warned him about before he did it... ended up needing to be fixed the following day. The prices were right in the middle as far as being cheap/expensive. I was left with a coulda been better, but coulda been worse opinion.

No Integrity, Dismissive, and Unprofessional Roofer!…read more In March 2024, I hired Statewide Roofing Specialist to repair the roof at my office that had some leak spots. Terry Cribbs, the owner, came out, gave an estimate, and eventually did the repair. They finished the project within that day and was paid promptly after. In August 2024, Hurricane Debby came through Winston-Salem and I noticed 3 water spots on my ceiling tiles. I sent photos and expressed my concerns and requested someone come out to fix the leaks. After a few correspondences with Mr. Cribbs and a couple of times of "I will send someone out tomorrow, or this date" no one ever came out. It turns out, unless you get the 5 or 10 years extended warranty, which I did not, they will not follow up on their workmanship. Despite the NC roofer law, all roofers are responsible to repair any defective or improper labor of their work for up to one year. He did not honor this law after 5 months of the repair. Needless to say, there has been no communication with Statewide Roofer since August. I am posting this review so that if anyone is looking for a roofer, just be mindful that if you don't get the extended warranty, you might not get any responses from the owner. Hopefully, now that I have posted my experiences, maybe you will have a better experience and they will honor their work as they should. As a 20 plus years of a professional business owner, I stand by my work and Statewide Roofer, you should stand by your work and words as well.

He took pictures and explained everything and then gave us options to fix our roof. He cares about you as a customer, not just making money from your problems. He ended up talking us out of the more expensive option because it turned out that it wasn't needed once he got started. We don't know anything about roofing and he could have easily convinced us that the more expensive fix was needed, but instead only did what was actually necessary. Dave is the ONLY man that I will ever call to fix my roof and I trust him entirely with the repairs and the pricing.

From the first meeting I knew that this was a person I wanted to do business with: his equipment was spotless as was his person. He had already researched and found the plan of my roof and its size. He didn't try to "up sell" me to a roof that I didn't need. Once he had given me the estimate for replacement of the roof a (which was pleasantly lower than my insurer had expected) and I had selected the color, things moved quickly. The entire job was done in two days. His employees were in his mold: on time and ready to work, absolutely focused on the work and cleaning up as they went along. The supervisor checked with me frequently to make certain that I was pleased with the work and had no concerns about access to the house or the garage. At the end of the second day all evidence of the work had been cleaned up. I am totally delighted with the experience and the roof! I recommend Burris without qualification.
