Went here a few years ago and it was great..recently though we were not as impressed as we were a few years ago..Don't know if we caught them at a shift change but seemed to have waited longer than reasonable for our food..Wasn't as tasty as i remembered from our first visit a year or so ago..The dining area seemed a bit crowded as well and a bit loud but you can attest that maybe to the number of people dining i suppose..was seated at a round table in the middle of everything and my seat was up against a chair from the table behind me so i wasn't as comfortable as i would have liked to have been..just seemed for as large as the place is they could have spread out the diners a little more..i will give them the benefit of doubt and give it another try though down the road.. read more

Have been here a few times in the past for lunch and dinner and the food has always been great. On this particular visit, we were here for a grad party event. The food once again was pretty tasty. Buffett offered Penne alla Vodka, Chicken Francaise, green beans, salad, fresh bread and house made peppers in oil. Everything was fresh and everything was delicious. The green beans were interestingly delicious as they were not only cooked perfectly but had just a tiny pinch of red pepper flakes that made them standout to me. While out in Mahoning County I stumbled across this place and figured I would check it out. After all, there is never a bad time for Italian food! I sat at the bar and looked over the menu, which had a variety of pizza, pasta, beef, chicken, and seafood dishes. I settled on a plate of spaghetti marinara, which came with a side salad and complementary rolls. The rolls were warm and came with a dollop of butter, while the salad consisted of iceberg lettuce with a few croutons and onions mixed in. The pasta arrived hot and appetizing and topped with just the right amount of sauce. It did not disappoint - the sauce was rich and full of flavor and perfectly complemented the spaghetti! Good quality on my dad's steak, tender and juicy, came with mushrooms and onions and a large baked sweet potato. My pasta dish was absolutely delicious and the portion was huge, couldn't even make a dent in it. Waitress was friendly and attentive which was great as she was rubbing the whole place herself. Went with my family to celebrate a birthday. Dinner selection was great, amazing pasta and fish choices. Stuffed Halibut and Whitefish were excellent, Veal was delicious as well. We had 6 in our party, seated quickly, service was outstanding and quick. Dinner Salads were a little disappointing... I recommend getting the soups. Generous portions and decent bar service. Prices were an excellent value for the quality of main dish. I'll be back to try the chicken Marsala, which I hear is fantastic. read more

Stopped in for lunch and was seated pretty quickly. I was greeted by my server Christina, who was very friendly and helped guide me through the large list of menu items. I chose the lunch portion of the Chicken Parmesan. I was immediately served with my drink and some tasty warm rolls with whipped butter. The entree comes with your choice of either a salad or soup. The soup of the day was Wedding soup, so I opted for that. It was a really good chicken based soup with lots of tiny meatballs in it. They prepared this soup perfectly. (My wife is Italian, and she makes this soup on holidays... so I know what it should taste like.) Giorgio's nailed it! When the Chicken Parm was served, I noted that it was a chicken patty, and not a chicken breast, so they lost a star for that. Otherwise the meal was good. The pasta was cooked well, and the tomato sauce was rich and delicious. Christina did a great job as server... she was very attentive. The meal and service was good. Food was very bland, and the sever was okay but the host/other server that sat us wasn't very pleasant. When we walked in we stood there while the Resturant was empty and finally the host came over and did not greet us, finally I said how are you and to which she replied fine, how many? The sauce tastes like ketchup, rolls were cold and hard, pizza was okay. The calamari was soggy and super greasy. Would not recommend. read more

Since this is a new place, I will try to cover everything. Decor looks just like the steak house that was here before, just with a little more room between the tables. Atmosphere was pleasant but lacked any sound except kitchen and staff. A little music would be nice. Food was good. Tasty and portioned just right. Food was not superb, but was as I expected it to be. Tiramisu was very good, better than expected. Service is good and the prices reasonable. I would recommend for a nice dinner out, but maybe a little short for any special dinner nights. read more

Met up with a friend here. Was not immediately impressed when walking in. Wait staff seemed flustered even though it was not busy. and took us a touch too long to be seated. Menu is huge, almost too many options. I tried the peach sangria to start, and my friend had the pineapple drink, she said it tasted like canned pineapple juice. Started with the bruschetta, it was good but a bit too salty and the tomatoes were overwhelming. I ordered the chicken Mediterranean and my friend got a pizza. I had a side of wedding soup as well, which was extremely unflavorful. The entree was good, a little heavy on the olive oil. It was the "sauce" of my dish, but it was heavy. We both also got dessert, myself the chocolate cake and my friend the Italian lemon cake. The chocolate cake had obviously just come right out of the fridge and it was hard. The cake itself was moist but with the combination of the filling and the topping it was hard. Overall it was okay but could definitely use some improvement. read more

The sweet tea wasn't good but we replaced it with lemonade which wasn't bad. We ordered my 3 year old a pizza off of the kids menu and we get a this large cheese bread circle thingy. Unless the kid is bulking for a weightlifting competition no way they can finish it. I got the chicken Marsala and the mushrooms was the best part. The chicken was boiled (i think) and tasted like the inside of some cheap chicken nuggets. I managed to eat all of the mushrooms and half of a chicken breast. I know nothing about the history of this restaurant but if I had to guess this place was once the go to for Italian food in the area. Then to make a larger profit the owners cut back with subpar ingredients. Just my two cents. However I will revisit this place and order a pasta dish and update this review. This place was AWFUL! After waiting almost 30 minutes for my pasta, it arrived cold and tasting like it was cooked yesterday. In addition, the waitress forgot to put in our appetizer and tried to play it off after sitting at a table having coffee with other customers. The "Italian sausage" sandwich is actually a frozen sausage patty. Next time you pass this place, keep driving and go to Taco Bell for a better meal. read more

Bruschetta was good and chicken sandwich was good also. The bread seemed really fresh. I was disappointed that their table bread was not some kind of fresh Italian bread loaf or rolls. It was plain sliced white bread that I could have bought anywhere. Also, the Caesar dressing was not very good. It was not creamy, but rather vinegar like. And finally, when I walked in at 11:15pm for lunch, most of the employees were standing around talking. Not very professional, and it was so quiet aside from the employee chit chat that you could hear a pin drop. OK, but not a place I'm likely to visit again. I don't usually find myself channeling Gordon Ramsey, but I couldn't help myself from analyzing the food and restaurant. We went here on a lark, knowing nothing about the place. With many high quality Italian restaurants in the area, we were exploring parts unknown. The first sign of potential disappointment was the dominating floral scent we found in the dining area - not appetizing aromas such as roasted garlic, which would have piqued my interest. I saw no surprises on the menu, so I chose the lobster ravioli from the nightly specials board with a Caesar's salad on the side. The salad dressing had that glossy, globular appearance of fat-free dressing and was lacking in garlic and anchovie flavors. The ravioli arrived smothered in a thick white cheese sauce. While I could taste the lobster, the sauce was mild. My wife's pasta was drowning in watery liquid and mostly flavorless, and she quickly lost interest in it and sent most of it back. We tried to salvage the meal with a tiramisu, which was OK, but decorated with Hershey's syrup, lacking the espresso and bittersweet cocoa that you find in better creations. Service was very friendly and they were kind to not charge us for my wife's entree or the desert. read more

The drinks were very yummy - Eric got a strawberry lemonade and I tried the limoncello martini. We had the Italian greens app and it arrived quickly, along with warm rolls and real whipped butter. The greens were excellent, not overdone or over seasoned, and we especially liked that they weren't spicy at all. Eric's stuffed pepper soup was just ok, but my house Italian dressing was delicious! His chicken caprese was perfectly breaded and full of flavor. I ordered the chicken francaise - I've been searching for it for a long time, it's one of my favorite dishes - and it did not disappoint! She ordered clam chowder and pizza. I opted for a salad, veal Marsala and penne pasta with melted butter. Everything was amazing. Took home a chicken parm for our son. He never likes anything, but ate every last drop. In short, am surprised by previous bad reviews. Looking forward to return visit. Another great night at Georgio's. Annie works the bar and we can't say enough about her. She has taken care of us for a long time and if you go to the bar Monday- Thursday they have bar specials. $2.00 bud light and $5.00 deals on some of the food items. Our food is always delicious. Tonight I had a chicken and greens pizza and a cheese pizza. These are my two favorite pizza's. On Monday they have 6 dollar pizza's even specialty pizzas are 6 bucks. I'll start this with saying this was our fist visit to Giorgio's and we certainly won't be back. My husband and daughter took me there for Mother's Day. I believe they're normally closed on Sundays, but they were having a buffet for the holiday. They say buffet, but I really wouldn't call it that. The salad consisted of ONLY lettuce and a dressing. No other fixings were offered. There was also a bowl of watermelon. The main buffet had only eight items offered and half was food I didn't even recognize and couldn't tell what it was until I took a bite. Out of the eight items, the potatoes were the only thing that was good. The waiter was okay, despite him bringing my daughter unsweetened tea when she asked for sweet tea. When the check came around, I almost spit my drink out. $80.03. $26.67 for each person for an eight item buffet, crappy food, and a soda. The price was a complete rip off. I don't know if the food is normally that distasteful, but they should definitely take offering Mother's Day dinner off their calendar. Or maybe just offer a menu like they normally do. The only good thing I can say about Giorgio's is the inside it nice. read more
