A bumbling idiot who caused more harm to me than was thought possible. I needed 3 implants and…read moreended up in Urling's office. His staff is friendly but very casual, wearing street clothes and wandering in and out of a non sterile operating theater. I was concerned but Dr Urling made no effort to instruct them in sanitary clinical practices. I usually spent 3-4 hours in his dental chair while he tried to prepare and insert the implants. He was so unskillful that he caused perforation after perforation into my sinus cavity. Of course, I then had to wait months to heal. My two implants took over a year to complete and every time Dr Urling went in my mouth , he charged me. I ended up paying over $10,500.00 for 2 implants. I had wanted 3 but after two I knew I had to get out of there. I did not have any medical anomalies that would warrant difficulty inserting implants. Every time I left his office I receive a detailed statement of charges. When Dr Urling realized how angry I was over the damage he caused and the enormous amount of time it took, I believe he became anxious about a possible medical malpractice suit. Accordingly, he rewrote all of my medical notes and procedures. I have the originals and they are definitely different from what he now has on file. Go to an oral surgeon for implants, not a periodontist.

I am so thankful to have found her. Her bedside manners blew my mind. Her assistant is also exceptional. From the time you walk in the staff is super friendly and very welcoming. Things are explained to you in detail and if in doubt they go over it with you again. The place is super clean. I just can't say enough about Waterbury Dental. I found this place in my Delta Dental network close by and requested an appointment for the next day at 5pm because they're open till 6 on Tuesdays and I work till 4. Requested email/text response since I was at work. Probably like 20 minutes laterish I got a text from the office offering me a 5pm today! (They close at 5 on Mondays so I was very surprised!). I accepted and arrived at 5. The ladies in the front office were very pleasant and had me fill out some paperwork. As soon as I finished, the dental assistant brought me to one of the rooms and took a bit more information verbally. The doctor showed up minutes later, looked at my crown and my tooth and quickly assessed it could be saved. He cemented it back in place in minutes and I was all set. Nobody tried to sell me anything I didn't need (new crown, electric tooth brush, extra xrays (they took 1 bite wing so the doctor could verify it would sit correctly in place and that was it.), special cleaning, or anything else like my previous dentist! The doctor mentioned if I wanted to continue going to my old dentist that would be fine or if I wanted to get my cleanings here, just let the front office ladies know. 0 pressure. Walked out only paying $55 and expecting it to be SO much worse. I signed up to get my cleanings with Ace. Easiest decision I've made in a while.

Dr. Dvarskas, in my initial visits, has always been extremely knowledgeable and professional, but creates a very comfortable atmosphere in his office and during the procedures to make the visits, again, as comfortable as possible. I came to Dr. Dvarskas with several dental problems, which have to date, involved a root canal and an extraction, with other procedures pending. During each visit to date, Dr. not only completed the procedures far less painfully than I could have thought, but also educated me about these procedures by the use of techniques he used that I had not experienced before by more former dentists, again, resulting in less discomfort that similar procedures I had before with other dentists. Dr. Dvarskas and his staff are the absolutely best at what they do, and clearly their patients, myself included, are all the better for it.
