I booked this hotel for 2 reasons - suites with 2 beds and couch that pulls out and hot tub (out of order our whole stay) The rooms appeared clean and breakfast had a good selection. The staff at the front desk were not well trained. Since I am an ihg member sometimes when I book hotels I have to book the rooms in separate transactions then the front desk links the days together to avoid any distribution. I tried to do this at check in but was told I had to wait until tomorrow. The next morning it took 20 minutes and a line started to form. They made me check out of my room and sign new forms to check back in. They also have this special party policy they have you sign which I thought was strange. They should add smoking weed in the hotel to the list since we could smell it several times over our weekend stay. Also the pool was cold so my kids would only swim in it for about 15 minutes. If you want a place more welcoming I would choose another hotel. read more

Beds were fresh. Room clean enough. Pool area filthy. Water in pool is cloudy and gray. Floor of pool deck has hair and debris all over. Breakfast decent and clean enough main gathering area. Light supper option M-W evenings, which was fine, too. Everything in rooms very banged up and worn. read more

Why 5 stars you may ask and by all rights you should The experience, the staff. the general manager. The amenities. The service. Breakfast at no extra cost downstairs. Also they where serving lunch downstairs at no charge. Indoor pool. jacuzzi fits about 8 people. Mind you we come to Dearborn almost once a year because we have family and close friends who live in Dearborn. My family and I stayed for about 6 days to attend a wedding and go to the great restaurants in the area. So back to our stay at the Staybridge. The rooms are nice and roomy with full kitchens, separate bedroom pull out sofas for extra beds, and when we needed extra bath towels or pillows they were sent up in a timely manner. The front desk too many to remember their names and the general manager greeted us in a very warm and sincere manner. The service through our whole stay was very personable. That's what I call going above and beyond expectations. It may not be Wynn in Las Vegas, but you wouldn't be able to tell the difference. I know where I won't be staying in my next trip to Dearborn. Read below so you can be aware as I feel as an Elite Yelper it is an obligation to point out. Especially because the following should have standards that they fell terribly short on I use to prefer the Hampton Hilton located down the way till my last stay a couple of years ago which I could not believe how bad they faltered. I mean it was literally falling apart and they literally tried to charge me extra for fixing it up. Can you believe that? As both parties pulled in, walked in to check in. This location is butted right up to an HDI EXPRESS. Another IHG hotel. To learn that we both at different times walked into the wrong one, & sent down the sidewalk. Afternoon check in was friendly. The hotel stinks. They haven't used bleach in months, definitely not in the rooms. As the highest level of elite with IHG, you'd think they'd put you in a clean room. Prints on cabinets in kitchen. Paper products not neatly torn and displayed, ripped smooth into a sheet like they used corners to clean. If I could describe the smell- it smells like the back of rent-a-center on treatment day. Ya know like cockaroaches and bed bugs. Which prompted me to strip the bed and check corners and ducts. Go to make beds after we arrive back, each mattress has stains on it, the extra set of linens riddled with holes. Fast forward to 12am, when a billegerent man had an entire grown baby meltdown radiating the floors. Slamming his door and yelling so loudly at whomever was with him. Informed the night shift front desk- who couldn't be bothered with the interruption, he was on this phone still from the time we arrived back till past then. Wake up, go down to grab a coffee- explore the options they have out for breakfast- there's an entire salsa bar. There's a canned pasteurized fruit row next to granola (strawberry jam looking, canned apples for pies and canned blueberries for the yogurt. Nothing healthy. All of it looks like old people food. Cheese omelette and turkey sausage and cold potatoes. Which is weird because there isn't anything to go with the salsa bar, it's not like breakfast burritos. Eggs all have cheese- folded together. Oats and breads. Cereal. Not one fresh fruit beyond the heavily coated in wax baby apples, the kids all thought were fake. Staybridge's breakfast is typically better than IHG, kinda why we picked here verse next door. But after all that, HDI Express probably would have been a better option. They have pancake makers for the kids. Overall, I wouldn't recommend THIS staybridge. But their sister hotel next door, they definitely use cleaner and you could smell it walking in. Their breakfast bar was a full counter of multiple hot plates. Try there. read more

The staff at this hotel are fantastic! Our daughter is in a wheelchair and they were very helpful. The few things that were needing of assistance in the room were addressed immediately and with kindness. I wish all hotels had staff like this! [This is a honest review ] I got two suites ....one standard and the larger suite on June 23rd and checkout on June 24th . The bigger suite a/c did not work properly and the freezer as well . And the standard suite was good ....well so I thought , we are being accused of breaking a piece of furniture but before we left we did a video and showed them but they refused to believe us . This was a bad experience for my first time staying in Staybridge suites. The breakfast needed more options they worker turned of the drink machine and said that's only for dinner. My room didn't have hot water I was told to let it run for like 30 minutes and after of hour I still had to take a cold shower 2 days in a row. The carpet was stained and the dishes had dried up food on them. If I could post the pictures of the carpet I would but I dnt see where I can add them. I would never stay here again for the money that was paid for the room. read more

Unfortunately I was disappointed considering the fact that I've been a past Staybridge patron (in New York) and thoroughly enjoyed my stay there. My husband and I had a 2nd floor Studio Suite. The suite itself was "ok." It looked a bit dated. The shower had pump bottles of soap attached to the wall and locked. I didn't particularly care for this knowing that other hands had used it. The hotel itself, I noticed, was loud all day and night. There were children everywhere. In the morning, children bombarded the buffet and we had to wait quite a while to get our food. There was an attendant making waffles for the kids, so my husband asked if she made them for everyone and her answer was, "you're grown - I'm just trying to keep these kids from breaking stuff." While eating, it seemed as if some of the children may have been related to employees as their conversation was very familiar. Also in the morning, the maids kept jiggling our doorknob and knocking, even though we had a "Do Not Disturb" sign on the door. This was concerning to us, so we put our luggage in the car whenever we left. Oh and did I mention the yelling and police presence from approximately 2:45 a.m. until almost 3:30 a.m.? And water all over the elevator floor and hallway the next morning? I will not return and would have preferred to have paid an additional $100 to secure a more comfortable stay elsewhere. read more

Second and last time at a stay bridge hotel. The good: I love the space and the convenience of breakfast in the morning (although it was relatively gross to me but ok for my baby). Traveling with a 16 month old so I always appreciate any extra space we can have and not having to worry about food for her when she wakes up super early. If you need an extended stay hotel (which we didn't, just there for the weekend) this is probably a good bet. Good price and you get like a mini apartment. Also the courtyard and pool was nice. The bad: Idk If they even have a cleaning staff. The elevators were full of junk that (hopefully) kids threw on the floor. The room smelled awful, probably because the filters needed to be changed. They couldn't even be bothered to remove old towels (see pic below). The room was freezing despite me setting the temp to 79 degrees. There's no ice machine because the rooms have freezers with an ice maker. 24 hours after turning it on, there was not one cube of ice. The last thing that annoyed me was the guy who was supposed to be working at the front desk was busy NOT WORKING because he was using the waffle machine that paying visitors were waiting to use. Rude staff & incompetent handling of reservations. Booked a room online, we show up and the hotel doesn't have power. Yet they let numerous people book and take their money. When we called to expect a refund when they regained power we were rudely told that we have to call when a manager is there. For future visitors reading this, there are plenty of other local hotels to choose from without the attitude or incompetence. read more

I had a poor experience at your hotel from day one. I contacted the front desk to inquire about the air in the room. They informed me that the room is set with motion detectors, and the air kicks on only when movement is detected. I expressed that I understood the room design but the air never kicked in. When we first arrived, we were in constant movement. We disinfected the room and unpacked. Yet the air never kicked in. I asked if there was perhaps some type of fan we could use for the room and the front desk receptionist offered to check with the janitor but never checked back in with us. We settled on opening the window, which the receptionist suggested. We discovered that the window had a broken screen, so bugs were coming into the room. Because we needed a room with two queen beds, and availability was limited, according to the receptionist, we were unable to change rooms. Day two, I cut the bottom of my foot very badly on the rocks at the bottom of the pool, in the deep end. My friend staying in a different room at the hotel asked the front desk for bandages or a first aid kit due to my bleeding foot. The receptionists offered a few bandages and stated that's all they have. They never shut down the pool, never came to inspect the pool area in question, and never investigated who was bleeding or the extent of my injuries. I called the hotel the next day after I checked out to explain my experience and they admitted they failed to follow up on the "bleeding foot" they heard about from the person asking for bandages at the desk. They also admitted they should have closed down the pool and should have a better first aid kit. I simply asked what can I do for compensation for a horrible experience and they offered me 10,000 reward points. I paid a lot of money to have a comfortable and safe environment. I got the opposite. Your hotel was clearly negligent in their upkeep of the facilities, their follow through regarding the unsafe conditions and the injuries I suffered. Corporate requested someone from your location to contact me directly. No one reached out to me within the appointed 48 hours. This was requested by corporate a week ago. This is simply unacceptable! read more

Improperly cleaned room, inattentive front desk. I won't return to this Staybridge. When I entered my suite, I found dental floss on the bathroom counter, and a dirty dish in the kitchen sink. When I entered the hotel to check in, there was no one at the front desk. I waited about 2 min, then decided to call the hotel. When the front desk phone rang, a woman suddenly appeared from the wall behind the front desk. When I came back down to the front desk to request a room change, same thing. Beautiful new hotel. The room is amazingly spacious and has a contemporary feel. I feel like 3 people can comfortably stay at the suite I was in. There were two TVs, one in the lounging room and one in the bedroom. Bed was great. Indoor swimming pool and gym available. Fireplace in the lobby and fireplace outside. Free shuttle services to airport and to places nearby. Friendly staff. read more

If I can give this hotel zero stars I would, this is the most disgusting hotel I ever been too. And management are absolutely rude and unprofessional. I came from California for a wedding - my hotel room was absolutely disgusting pee all over the toilet and the shower was clogged with hair. When I asked for housekeeping, they had the audacity to hand me cleaning supplies. I had no option but to stay because everywhere else was booked. Though not as close to the airport as others, this hotel was comfortable and welcoming. Alvin at the desk was a calming presence in a busy evening. When the Airport closed to terrible winter weather he was professional but kind. Though it can get ugly when a hotel has sold out, he was handling it all very well. The room was bigger than expected. Typically staybridge hotels are top notch however this one owned by Dearborn Elite Hotels is bad false information on the housekeeping schedule it says anyone staying longer than 7 days will have light cleaning once a week I've been here a month and just now had my light cleaning done for the second time When I asked at the front desk for a vacuum and mop to clean my room myself I was told they were on the housekeeping cart and couldn't use one the owners really don't care about the guest and will deny there's a problem the breakfast bar hasn't had plates for a couple of weeks read more

Usually I don't write reviews but I'm going to on this one. I stayed there Thursday-Sunday this past weekend and it was the worst experience ever. For starters, on Friday our hotel wasn't cleaned. We had 5 people in one hotel room, with a pet they knew about. When we asked them why they didn't clean it, they said they don't clean on weekends (saturday&sunday), which didn't include friday. We said it was whatever, we cleaned our own hotel room until we left on sunday. The outside patio wasn't cleaned once. Their was woodchips covering nearly ever aspect of the outside. Their was bandages stuck onto the brick walls out by the furniture. The fireplace was broke. Inside the pool area, the pool itself was so dirty you couldn't see the black sewer drains at the bottom. The hot tub had multiple band-aids floating in the water. We had to go down to the clerk multiple times in our 4 day visit for towels, which we were given an attitude about nearly every time. We stayed in the room next to the pool, the entire time while trying to sleep, we could hear kids screaming while playing. In the early morning, we were all woken up from the children running back and forth upstairs, down to break fast. In the end, we left. A day later my mother broke into a rash, went to the doctors a week after that, found out she had scabies. If I could rate this place a -1, and get it shut down - I would. Absolutely disgusting. We had a family emergency - aunt in ICU at Beaumont Hospital - things are unfolding with my aunts health moment to moment - family reached out said to stay at our sick aunts home. Tried to cancel the reservation and was told it was company policy to charge me for the night since I booked today. No human compassion from anyone I came into contact. This is a party Inn. No one supervises their children or teaches them to respect other people who stay at this establishment. Yelling and running in the hallway all night, screaming in the pool all night. Loud music and loud voices in the center yard all night by the outdoor fireplace. Sleep was impossible. Unsupervised children misbehaving in the breakfast lounge. Management did nothing. Not a place for a weary traveler to go for business or relaxation. We needed a kitchen because of dietary restrictions and not being able to eat at a restaurant. Elderly people can not stay here. Any one who sleeps at night can not stay here. read more

Wow. This place was amazing. We came in to visit family, and felt like home here. The service desk was phenomenal. The first night we showed up, we had planned to see a move. Randy at the front desk told us the weather was going to be bad, so he told us that he would drive us to the movies and pick us up when it was over. Martha at the front desk bought my wife a birthday present. The breakfast was great. The dinner was awesome. We will be staying here again on our next trip to Michigan. read more
