Only thing that lost the two stars is that you have ZERO control over the HVAC system?! Front desk explained, when it's cold out, heat goes on, when it's hot AC goes on. That is a killer for me, I like to crank the AC at night. Being woken up by the heater going on, no bueno! Not a horrible place to stay but I won't go back. Embassy Suites in Milpitas makes a great first impression. The check-in staff was friendly and welcoming, and the hotel lobby and atrium are beautiful. The atrium is a great place to sit, relax, enjoy a glass of wine, and unwind after a long day. It really has the feel of a much higher-end hotel. Unfortunately, the guest room was a different story. For the price of the room, I expected much better attention to cleanliness and maintenance. The carpet had numerous stains throughout the room and looked like it hadn't been deep cleaned in quite some time. The couch cushions were visibly stained, the tile floors were dirty with scuff marks and grime, and even the cabinet surfaces showed stains and wear. These weren't isolated issues--they were noticeable throughout the room. Overall, this hotel has a lot of potential. The common areas are attractive, the staff was pleasant, and the atmosphere is relaxing. However, the condition and cleanliness of the guest rooms don't match the image the hotel presents when you first walk in. I hope management invests in deep cleaning and refreshing the rooms because this property could easily be a four- or five-star experience with better housekeeping and maintenance. read more

So the room is never really cools down. They do free breakfast which was good. It has an indoor pool that is nice but they had no towels, I asked for more and they never brought any. Our son's fiancee booked a wedding block at this hotel and so we got a great rate and all the reviews I read were mostly negative but I try to keep an open mind as I had a great experience here! We stayed overnight for two nights for the rehearsal and wedding nearby. The hotel texted me to see how I was doing during my stay every day which was attentive and we were able to enjoy the evening happy hour from 5-6:30 pm, only for 5 minutes as we checked in after 6 pm and went to the hotel room and realized that we would miss the complimentary drinks and snacks for the rest of our stay. We managed to get our two free drinks and some snacks. Then the next morning was a busy wedding day so hubby and I had the complimentary breakfast buffet and it didn't disappoint as it reminded me of the Embassy Suites in Bellevue, WA. There were eggs and omelettes cooked to order, fruit, yogurt, coffee, tea, juices, toast, bagel, french toast, scrambled eggs, pork links, cereal so a variety to choose from. Parking was discounted to $15 a day from $20. Paid parking seems to be the norm in the hotels I have stayed in. The lobby is spacious and beautiful and you can find a spot to relax in. Rooms are suites and we enjoyed the extra room. In the front room of the suite is the table with chairs that serve as a desk/dining table, large sofa, tv, wet bar, refrigerator, microwave and safe. In the bathroom, toiletries are available through installed bottles. The bedroom has a good sized closet, drawers, tv, balcony, and vanity. We had no problem with the air conditioning system. The 24 fitness center is what I always look for when staying at a hotel and it had the props I needed, bosu ball, free weights, stability and medicine balls and other equipment. Towels, sanitary wipes, water are also available. Only con I could see was one of the 4 elevators was out of order and it took longer to get from our 8th floor to the lobby and back. read more

Pros: When you walk in it is absolutely beautiful. The lobby seems to have no flaws and the rooms towering over you is breathtaking at night. The pool is inside, which is super amazing when you have kiddos that burn in the sun and it doesn't smell like chlorine inside either. The pool isn't cool nor warm, but content so that was a plus. Our room was nice and spacious maybe for 4 people, but two adults and 4 kids (two toddlers) was a little tight for our liking. The beds are very comfortable and I found myself getting lost in the pillow clouds. Don't let this place fool you. It definitely seems like a face remodel and the workers didn't take their time to fix some issues. Con: The TV is digital so it was hard to find a kid friendly TV show in short time. Not that big of a deal. The bathtub in the bathroom has enamel coming off, the bottle of lotion looked to be stuck to the wall with double stick tape. There is a coat hook hanging up high near the fire sprinkler. The water in the shower is not very strong at all and I don't think the ventilation fan does anything. The pool area has a huge hole in the ceiling and one of the ladders on the deep end of the pool is really loose and probably not very safe. The food was alright. The sausage was a bit weird. In full disclosure I am a Hilton honors diamond member but don't stay exclusively at hiltons. I like this particular Embassy suites because many of the rooms have balconies. The foothold and mountains around Milpitas are beautiful. This hotel is OK, they have updated the rooms and grand atrium is actually very nice. We encountered several issues with this hotel - management did their best to resolve the issues however some things were not fixable. My two biggest complaints (the 1st one I list is the primary reason I will Not stay here again) however are dealing with breakers. The air/heat control in the rooms is pretty much just for looks. You cannot actually set a desired temperature. When it's cold outside the hotel has heat going to the rooms, when it's hot outside the hotel has cool air going to the rooms. You can set the fan speed to how fast or slow you you want to receive air flow (cannot even turn it off). The 2nd issue is being charged $20.00 er day for parking - this was never disclosed before, during or after our stay. I just received another bill for 4 days of parking after checking out (only parked two days as well). Property is nice, breakfast buffet is ok (bit limited in selection) but decent food. Again, the staff went above and beyond to address the concerns and issues we had while we were there. I plan on calling in reference to the parking fees. read more

I am a longtime fan of Embassy Suites, so naturally I had high expectations. We specifically chose this hotel as the final stop on our girls' trip, thinking it would be the perfect place to relax and enjoy a solid breakfast before heading home. The outside of the hotel looks amazing, and when you walk into the lobby, it truly is spectacular. It is clean, grand, and welcoming. Unfortunately, that is where the good vibes ended. We arrived around 10:30 PM, ready to settle in, but as soon as we opened the door to our room, we were hit with disappointment. The carpets looked like they had hosted a paintball war. They were filthy and stained. There were crushed crackers scattered across the floor, and the bathroom was not clean either. It felt like housekeeping had skipped this room altogether. We called down to the front desk to report the condition, and they let us know that no one could come up to clean. They offered to switch our room, which we appreciated, so we headed down to get a new key. That was not a big deal. Unfortunately, the second room, located just a floor below, was even worse. While there was no food on the floor this time, the carpets were just as dirty. Outside the room was a small patio that was covered in cigarette butts, a dirty sock, and other random trash. The bathroom had visible garbage under the vanity and in the corners. The wallpaper was peeling in multiple places, which added to the overall feeling of neglect. The tissues in the room had a strong moldy smell, and the shower gel dispenser was completely empty. It was just overwhelming to deal with so many problems back to back. When I went to take a shower, the entire handle fell off and landed on my foot. It was solid metal and honestly hurt. I took pictures to send to Embassy Suites directly because we paid good money and ended up with two hotel rooms that felt more like rundown roadside motels than what you would expect from a reputable hotel chain. If I am going to stay in that kind of condition, I would expect to pay a quarter of the price. On top of the already disappointing room experience, I was shocked to find they charge $20 per night for parking. Considering the massive size of the hotel and the enormous parking lot with tons of open spaces, I cannot understand why that fee exists. It did not appear to be a city-owned lot, and I did not see a single security guard or any clear monitoring of the area. What exactly are guests paying for? It felt like a completely unnecessary and greedy add-on, especially when the quality of the rooms did not come close to justifying the cost of the stay in the first place. The overall hotel environment gives off great energy, but the rooms tell a completely different story. They do not reflect the brand, the price, or the experience you would expect. I was extremely disappointed. That said, I did sleep well, and the bed was comfortable, which I will give them credit for. My nieces used the pullout couch, but there were no extra blankets provided. Thankfully, I had one in the car and brought it up just in case. If you are going to advertise sleeping for four to six people, there should be enough blankets for everyone. We had two blankets for three beds. Breakfast was okay. It was nothing to write home about, but I appreciated the variety of options. The scrambled eggs were surprisingly moist, and you could order eggs or omelets made to order. The eggs to order were great, but the omelet was dry and lacked flavor. Nothing inside was cooked or melted properly. The French toast was decent, and I loved that they offered juice blends, coffee, tea, and fresh fruit. The oatmeal bar was a nice touch, and there were several other options available, although most of them were very sugary. Now we need to talk about the bacon. I do not usually complain about bacon, but this might have been the worst part of the trip. It was paper-thin, translucent, and tasted like sadness and bad decisions. If you are going to serve breakfast, at least get the bacon right. Overall, this stay was such a letdown. The hotel has the structure and potential for something great, but the rooms were neglected and unclean. The small details were overlooked, and it showed. I expected much more from Embassy Suites and truly hope this location makes some serious improvements. Right now, it is not living up to the name. read more

Have been staying here since I was a little girl. This was the first time in decades that I stayed and a lot has changed. Pros: Big suites, fully loaded rooms with refrigerator, microwave, tv, wifi, and a balcony. Decently cleaned and smell was okay. Breakfast is great, but the front desk never informed us of the closing time which almost made us miss it completely. Lucky for us the kitchen staff felt bad and reopened it for us only (since we had kids). Nice pool, but super crowded nye evening. Cons: Phones weren't plugged in, customer service isn't the best, ice is walking distance for majority (although for us it was on the same floor we stayed), and front desk doesn't provide key info before your stay. The reception hour is a nice idea, but the snacks suck ESPECIALLY on NYE night. Like couldn't they be more hospitable and provide a special reception for guests spending the holiday with them? Idk. We decided to come here on a friend's recommendation, doing her a favor. As you pull off the freeway, Embassy Suites is right there. The building looked gorgeous from the outside. Parking was easy to find a well. When we checked in, we were greeted with smiles. Your payment is taken upfront along with a $100 deposit. So I believe our King Suite for room 223 was $213(before the deposit). This hotel does Happy Hour, so between 5:30 pm and 6:30 pm, in the atrium, they have a bar where you can redeem 2 well drinks of your choice, or 2 beers, along with snacks such as pretzels and goldfish. We decided to grab our drinks and relax before checking in. Their bartender has no idea what he's doing because we decided to make our well Long Island drinks doubled... and we still tasted more soda and lemon lime than anything else. As we entered the room, it was nice to see the living room area with a couch & TV separated from the bedroom with sliding doors. There was a sliding door on the bathroom as well, which I hate. The room was very clean, minus the fruit loops I found in the couch cushions and the weird spluge I found on the headboard... so I cleaned that up myself... yuck... you know my first guess is the same as yours. The bed was comfortable, and the glassware was clean. The room, other than those couple things, was nice. There is a pool you can take a dip in. However, it's nowhere big enough for this hotel (with 10 floors, 9 floors with rooms, maybe 30-35 rooms per floor). With just a few families in there, it was too crowded. No hot tub or sauna. In such a tall hotel like this, you have to take a look from the top. It was definitely gorgeous. The structure, the architect... absolutely beautiful inside with water trickling around you, some fake plants put around all the tables... the ambiance was so calming. Stunning at night. As we woke from our comfortable bed loaded with pillows(which I love), we got up for their complimentary breakfast. They had cereals, french toast, eggs, bacon, sausage, an omelet station with 2 cooks working. There was coffee, juice water available. The bacon didn't look appetizing. So I got sausage, country potatoes an omelet, and topped it with salsa.... and ugh, the sausage and potatoes were cold, although they were kept in a chaffing dish with fire under them. So I ate my omelet... which was just ok. Since this was our random unexpected stay, we didn't bring any baggage. We walked around the hotel around 10 and came back to find our room being cleaned... when check out was at noon. I wanted to take a shower and put our feet up the last 2 hours and that was not possible now. We grabbed our keys and left. At least my other half got to shower. With breakfast not hitting the spot, the small pool, some cleanliness issues in the room, and forced to leave our room early... I think I will check out the other hotels in the area before coming back here. It's beautiful, but it's isn't as grand as it looks. read more

A lot of things to improve. We have to request for extra blankets knowing that we need to use the sofa bed due to number of people. No one answers in the front desk when we were calling from the room. Front desk staff lacks customer service skills. My uncle asked for recommendations of a nice place to visit, recommended a hiking area that is difficult, meaning, does not know how to assess what could have been a better suggestion considering the physique of the person if fit for to be a hiker. Sofa bed, has ripped fabric already, the elevator grab bar wiggles and does not look safe, considering the elevator is surrounded by glass. The breakfast is ok, it should be, how can anyone mess up a usual breakfast menu. Finally, it was mentioned to me that a younger front desk staff was disrespectful to an older gentleman worker. I've stayed at this hotel a number of times and just realized I have not left a review for these guys. For starters, this Hilton property is stunning inside as the staging of decor and placement of waterfalls are very thoughtful. The lobby area is very comfortable and can accommodate large groups if necessary. There's also a small bar and restaurant located in the lobby but it closes pretty early (I think 9pm or 10pm). Next thing is the room. The room is set up like a small one bedroom apartment minus a kitchen. This property combined two hotel rooms to make up the modern appeal of a comfortable place to stay. As I walked in, there was a living room furnished with couches and a spacious working desk. There are two large flat screen TVs - one in the living room and another one in the bedroom. The bar area has a sink, mini fridge, microwave, and plenty of space to store drinks and snacks. The bedroom has its own door which I loved. I was able to close the door before falling asleep every night I was there. Also, there's a small balcony to walk out to should you need fresh air. Finally, the staff running the property are relatively pleasant. I didn't have any issues with check in or check out. During my last stay, I was on the phone discussing topics that warranted various emotions and as I paced back and forth throughout the property -- I never was interrupted or given a second look. I appreciate the honoring of my privacy. All is all -- I would recommend staying here for business or leisure. This one checks all of the boxes. read more

I travel for a living and I've always said that the only thing I need is a warm shower and a clean bed...But after staying here, I'll need to amend that statement... I also need heating... I also need safe lighting... I also need ventilation... These are NOT AVAILABLE at this hotel... Upon check in, everyone was told about their 'neutral climate system' which really only means no heat or AC...They had box fans and space heaters available, so I guess they know it's an issue... And there is no lighting in the common areas!..They rely on the skylights to provide sunlight...But as everyone except them knows, there isn't sun at night or during rainstorms...This makes it difficult and/or dangerous while walking in the lobby or hallways during those times... I expect more from a name brand hotel chain like Embassy Suites or a Hilton... read more

Within 2 hours, our keys stopped working. After two trips to the front desk, they called maintenance. We were told maintenance would be there in 10-15 minutes, so we waited in the atrium where we had a view of our room so we'd know when to go upstairs. Maintenance came, opened the door within a few seconds, and then left the door propped open with no one there. We watched him do it. One of our group met him at the elevator and were told they'd be back with new batteries. If we hadn't gone straight up, someone else could have easily walked in our room. We waited for him to come back in the room. The batteries were replaced shortly after. We were given drink vouchers at check-in which we redeemed during the evening reception. The drinks were goo, I had a long Island Iced Tea. There were snacks available as well, such as crackers, chips & salsa. The following morning, we were woken up by the noise of plates and silverware in the breakfast area; in addition to noise from the swimming pool which travels up from the ground floor. After being woken up early we headed to breakfast where my husband found a moldy bagel, yuck! Made us question the rest of the food. Overall, I wouldn't come back. read more

We are a huge Embassy suites fan but this is by far the worst one we ever been too. Staff rude and zero personality. Brought my service dog with me and while my son played in the pool I sat at the end with my dog, an employee came in extremely rude telling me my dog wasn't allowed even tho she is a service dog and that drinks were not allowed in the pool not long after him another one came in and did the same thing as I was cleaning up to leave. We made a complaint to the manager who then tried to tell us how dogs are not allowed and how the chemicals are bad for it. The dog wasn't in the water or drinking it. Had to explain ADA rules and the reason we came here was "pet friendly " he then corrected himself . The very next day the pool was crowded people had food and drinks everywhere and 2 non service dogs. No one came in to tell them they couldn't be eating or drinking or about how their dogs were not allowed, after over an hour in there they told them the dogs couldn't be there but nothing about drinks or food. The pet area is in the very back of the hotel past the parking area. It was not safe and random people just parked there smoking and "hanging out". If my dog wasn't a working a breed I would have never took her there for bathroom. Even she was on alert watching cars that slowly drove by. Not enough lighting and too far in my opinion. Trash in the parking lot from randoms dumping food. Randoms just walking around. As we were packing up to leave a random guy stood around us, I had my service/working dog off leash for the simple fact we were not safe. He watched us circles a little then walked off realizing the our mal was at alert. Our room had what it looked like mold by the window on the ceiling, we were on the 3rd floor. Which you think they would check to see what was going on. I do not recommend this place and for the cost def not worth it! Hard pass here. Reminded me of a trashy hotel. We were fortunate enough to be invited to the funeral for Smashmouth's Steve Harwell and we've had great experiences at Embassy Suites in the past so staying here was a no-brainer. We are 3 for 3 on having a wonderful stay at Embassy Suites! The outside of the hotel looks like a palace with Spanish colonial architecture. There is plenty of parking, but it is not free. The inside is a giant open square atrium that is nine stories high. There are elevators at each end. My fear of heights definitely kicked in walking to our room on the seventh floor because of the glass elevator and open hallways. Our room was not as nice as the previous locations we stayed, but it was clean and served our needs. We really appreciated the indoor pool because our son loves to swim. The fitness center was not extensive. However, it had everything an exerciser could need. The elliptical I chose had seen better days and was clunking with each revolution. We partially choose Embassy Suites when we travel for the breakfast. Like the other locations, this one has a custom omelette station that I don't use because eggs are gross, but I still think it's a nice amenity. This location had fruit, cereal, pastries, eggs, sausage, potatoes, French toast, oatmeal, juices, soda, and coffee. It is a perfect start to the day! Every employee I interacted with was polite and professional. I was especially impressed with the breakfast attendant named Abraham. Both mornings, he brought yogurt to our son without us having to ask and took our plates away when we were finished. Give that man a raise! I highly recommend staying here. The location is good because of its proximity to the freeways and is close enough to all Bay Area attractions. The only downside is that it is in Milpitas so it smells like the trash dump almost every night. read more

We've come here multiple years, and this stay was the worst and our last. In our first room, the carpet was filthy, and when I went to close the drapes, there was a massive spot of something gross on them. So we grabbed our bags and requested a separate room. The front desk was accommodating, but the housekeeper woman seemed insulted and made excuses. The carpets were filthy in our second room, but this time, it was clear the bathrooms were not cleaned, and obviously, one rag was used to wipe everything down because there was hair in the shower and on the door, with noticeable marks of the last person who was there. Upon arrival Liana greeted us and helped us very quickly for our check in process although parking isn't free with silver status you get a slight discount on parking which is $15 with silver status. She explained where to park since our room is by the back of hotel. Room 626 was spacious and clean no complaints. We always check for bed bugs because we seen a recent review that said they had it so I was already afraid to come here, but my husband did his sweep of the beds and I was confident there wasn't any bed bugs thank goodness. Bed and pillows were comfy a/c worked fine I get hot but my kids get cold. Of course the pullout bed couch is never comfy and never has an extra blanket so make sure to bring one or ask the front for more blankets. Lounge area looks beautiful at night and day. Unfortunately we didn't utilize the pool since it was packed but we had dinner reservations else where so we didn't mind missing the indoor pool. The hot free breakfast was good as expected enjoyed the omelet bar. The line was long but went by quickly don't forget your room key when ordering they sometimes ask for a key before ordering. She was so friendly and treated us like family. There were no issues whatsoever; this is by far the best hotel customer service we've gotten in a really long time. We need more people like Irene. Her service is 1st class and she made us definitely feel like our Gold Membership with Hilton was worth every bit. My wife and I love our room on the 8th floor and how clean & spacious it is. We also love the addition of the Mountain-View balcony where we can see the outdoors and get some fresh air! We are definitely utilizing every corner of this room; it's like home away from home. We stayed here for 2 nights during the memorial 3 day weekend. It was a busy weekend, and hotel was packed, with graduation groups and other getaways like my family. The girls (7&3) enjoyed the indoor pool and spent hours on each day. With so many kids, the area can get messy. A more quiet time may be better, so staff can keep up with all activities. There were 16 tesla chargers and 2 regular plugs but all were full on the 1st day. It was still convenient as I was able to find a Tesla charger around 9pm. The staff was accommodating and helped us with picky breakfast eaters. During happy hour, the kids got Shirley temples and felt they were part of the cool kids. The room was spacious with 2 beds. The HVAC was the letdown, as the control mechanism was tied to the whole building. The front desk did explain the issue. As our stay was on a pleasant weather, we just turned the HVAC off most of the time. Overall, my family experience was great. We all had fun. I did remove 1 star for the hotel owners to update the HVAC. It is the most complaint about and ppl do stay at hotels for the convenience of fully controlled room temp, regardless of weather. No amount of hotel management can change the bad experience as seen on other reviews of this hotel. read more

My husband booked this hotel for a 3-day weekend to see a 49ers game and when I saw the Yelp reviews I thought, "Uh oh." I don't know what happened, but my experience was pretty good. The room was big and spacious, clean and comfortable. The bed was very comfortable and I liked that the room got fully dark so I could sleep late. We did not have the temperature/thermostat issue other reviews complained of, thankfully. Like many hotels, they're not sending the cleaning service every day but we asked for extra towels and received them. The location was good - you could take a (long) walk to Great America or Levi's Stadium. There was a shopping center across the street with Whole Foods and a few restaurants, and a trail along a river for walking, running, or biking. It was nice to have a suite and a little more space than a regular hotel room, I liked that I could close the bedroom door to take a nap while my husband watched sports in the living room. There was a free reception in the evening, we just grabbed a little cup of olives and some crackers to hold us over until dinner. I suppose this was a little underwhelming if you were expecting a nice "spread" but if you think of it as free cheese & crackers and a drink, it's better than you get at some hotels! I'll be picky and give a few critiques: 1. The gym could use a refresh. There was one TV in the corner with a few channels but the screen was all blue-tinted (from overuse?) The door to the gym looked like it was supposed to open with a key card but it just pulled open. I was nervous to workout with my headphones loud knowing anyone could just walk in and the gym was in a somewhat isolated area of the hotel. 2. The free breakfast was great - made-to-order omelets with a side of bacon or sausage. The friendly chef would make eggs however you wanted them, and quickly. However, I got the impression that whoever set up the breakfast buffet didn't ever actually try out the buffet. For example, the milk was on the other side of the room from the coffee, and not by the cereal either. If you ever tried walking through the buffet you might say "Hmm, let's re-arrange that." I'm not a cereal eater, but I noticed that the cereal dispensers were turned so that the knobs were away from the counter - everyone was reaching their hands around to dispense cereal when clearly the people who set up the buffet just never tried them to realize they should be turned the other way. For coffee, there were small mugs, but I noticed a guy had a larger paper cup - he told me he took it from the "marketplace" area where they sold coffee. So, I did the same, walking across the lobby to grab a cup, but I'm not sure why they wouldn't put paper cups out where you could reach them, assuming some people want to grab & go. I also noticed there were fewer options on Monday than there were on the weekend. 3. No in-room safe. 4. We didn't have a car and got charged for parking, my husband had to call twice to have it taken off the bill. read more

They renovated but the whole quality of this hotel sucks now! I booked to stay at this hotel for 12 days. Unfortunately I cut it short for a few reasons: 1. Their toilet didn't work so they offered me a smaller room instead without trying to give me a discount 2. I asked for a fan since their ac doesn't work, they told me to open the window. However, my room didn't have a window!!! And the front desk didn't call me back for other options. Definitely not how you treat an honors member. 3. Get better cooks. You have undercooked potatoes and overcooked eggs everyday smh! 4. Everytime I call the front desk they have different answers for everything. Get it together! Where to start this happen july of 2023. We got 2 rooms at the 4th floor as we were there for an event, & even though the event got canceled, we made different plans to stay. The other party had to leave due to an emergency & our self decided to make the best of it. on the day of the cancel event, we went into town and returned to the room to eat and planned to go to the pool. But when i moved the blanked, i noticed something, & when i took a closer look, it turned out to be a dead bed bug. So i went ahead & did a search of the beds, found more around, from the ones that were alived roming around the pillow,bed edge, and smeared on the wall (which that had to be from the previous people who stayed there and i didnt noticed it until i started searching). Took pictures and video and went to the front desk, keep in mind my two small kids where with us. When i approached the front desk, the person that was there seem not shocked by what i told her and just called the manager that was right behind her and made me tell her the whole story again. Showed her video and pictures and told her to go see for her self, and she denied. So she then proceeded with hinting if i did that, and i told her who has the time and the dam bugs to do it. So i got mad because she proceeded with a bunch of excuses to contact hilton(we did, hilton told us it would have to be the hotel as they did the reservation hetel took the money) until i said, i am leaving and i need to get refunded, she said i can change you rooms or i can send someone to inspect. So i told her if you change me room, what guarantee can you give me that room is not the same, she smile and said nothing and talked to the front dek person. Also only reason i got her name was due to another front desk person there, when i went to go get my receipt. also when she checked us in and was bad from the start as well. Her name is Laura Cambell, i hope shes no longer employed there because even at that point she was telling me she was having a bad day because her dad had just passed, and i told her sorry for your loss, but that doesnt solve my problem. Then at that point i spoke to a few people back and forward for about 3month i was told they were going to do a full check up of the room and get a specialist to go verify everything. When they told me they did that i asked for a copy of the report and information they said they couldnt share that information with me (but when talked to hilton, they said that it did not show on their record of any of that being done and that they should be able to share that info) and that they would not be able to refund me (but did mention what hilton said to us and they asked for names and asked for information i told them call hilton and find out), but i did not give up and kept asking and talking to different people and finally got full refund. I stayed at embassy suites for a long long time and that was the last time and not looking back, i have moved to marriott ever since, they take care of any issues right away with out excuses or sharing personal issues. Embassy Suites malpitas was great at the breakfast great people there,one front desk person i cant remember her name,1 of the supervisors helping me with the issues and the 1 accounting person returning the funds. The hotel was very clean, room was very nice-looking, beds were comfortable, staff was nice. BUT..... they have one MAJOR problem and I will not stay there again because of it. The have HUGE issues with temperature / climate control. We checked in around 5pm (in the month of November). It was a warmer day and I know it was 61 degrees when I checked in because I actually checked the weather because I was surprised at how warm it was outside. The FIRST thing I felt when I opened the door to the room was a huge rush of warm air. It felt like a sauna. The thermostat said 75 degrees. I called the front desk and they said the hotel was in "heat mode" due to outside temperatures. Excuse me? Why does the heat need to be on when it's only 61 degrees? And even if it was 30 degrees outside, 75 degrees in a room is HOT! They told me to turn off the heat (DUH) and open the balcony door. The front desk people were kind enough to send two floor fans to my room. The maintenance man kind of apologized and it seemed like he encounters this a lot. Unfortunately, the fans were like the $10 kind you get from Walmart. They barely put out any air and did pretty much nothing to circulate the air. We opened the balcony door, but now there was so much noise due to traffic below that we could hardly hear the TV. (Also, I saw many families with small children during my stay. If I had a small child with me, opening the balcony door would not have been safe). We left the balcony door open until it was time to go to bed. We had to close it then because of the light and noise. We ended up not even being able to use the front room of the suite. What a waste. I closed the door to the front of the room and hoped for the best, but we were uncomfortably warm all night and the thermostat had even increased to 76!! Such a joke. What kind of hotel forces heat on its customers? I'm wondering in the summer if they force air conditioning on people who may or may not want that either. Anyways, it's a shame because everything else was pretty nice. But if it's too hot, it's not worth another stay. Also, $18 to park my car? I self-parked literally 10 feet from the entrance. Why do I need to pay $18? How else am I going to get there. Management sent me an automated text after I checked out asking how my stay was. When I complained about this issue, they basically said, "We have central heat that comes on when it's a certain temperature outside. Come back again and hopefully we can give you a more comfortable room." No thanks. read more

About nine years ago, I posted about having no heat in my room at the Milpitas Embassy Suites. On 2/8/24 I stayed in room 803 and again had no heat in the room. The fan worked but no heat. I was told by the front desk that the heater turns on as the outside temperature drops. Even with this ridiculous explanation I was still uncomfortably cold. So they provided a potable heater in my room. Very unacceptable since they charge $166.00 a night. read more

This place has really turned into a cheap motel despite the cost. We booked 2 rooms for my nephews 8th birthday for our family. 5 adults, 3 kids. My parent's room was fine with temperature control, but even with a heat advisory, the hotel was not prepared in any way. All the common areas of the hotel were way too hot to sit and relax. Our room (523) was sweltering hot and humid. The blankets on our bed were damp from how humid it was. I had to sleep on the couch since opening the balcony door did not help with the temperature. I called down to the front desk and all they would do is bring up a busted fan that they even warned "may not work". We live in San Jose and had always used this Embassy Suites as a fun get away, but what a mistake! We could have stayed home and had temperature controlled room. In fact, my dogs at home had a better nights sleep than us! Unfortunately, the nightmare began with check in as our room wasn't ready until 4:30. They allowed us to check into one room, but had to keep calling housekeeping to check on our room. I was grateful for Daria as she was kind and professional, to the point of running our key up for our other room once housekeeping was done. She was the only shining light on this stay. Next issue was the pool. It was so cloudy with no towels, we stayed for a short time and ran back to our rooms to shower. We counted over 40 people in the pool at one point with groups chucking balls across, hitting my nephew in the head. Once we went back to shower, that's when we discovered all the nasty hair/gunk in the drain that was never cleaned. To top it off our trip, we had horrible hotel children that were staying for an 18th birthday party/event downstairs that kept kicking our door and running away. By this morning, it was up to 15 times that we dealt with the insane kicks to the door. We're all for kids and shenanigans, but they would not stop, even after 11 at night. When our kids ran out to confront them this morning, they locked one of the 7 year olds out of their room while he sobbed in fear. My kids just wanted it to stop and told him to stop. It seemed to work at that point, but after the lack of temperature control, wet blankets, dirty pool, nasty bath drain, and unruly guests, we will never come back again. read more
