Pros: -Close to San Jose airport -Quiet, safe location -Walking distance to a number of decent looking Chinese restaurants, including a large Chinese retail market called 99 Ranch -Lady who checked us in late at night was very friendly -Free and decent hot breakfast -Room was spacious and clean Cons: -Rooms are a bit outdated. My bathroom door was self-closing which was kind of annoying. That said, hotel has began renovating the rooms. -Picked and reserved my own room on the app, but upon arriving, was given a different room. -There was a weird humming noise that went on and off throughout the night (room 404). Sounded like the water heater of some sort in the walls was active. Overall the stay was decent. For light sleepers, I would ask for a room facing away from the highway although I didn't hear any of the traffic/car noise during my stay.

How you gonna say 2 queen beds sleeps 5?!? I mean it's either 6, or more realistically 4.... Smdh

Probably our worst Hampton Inn experience. Hilton online showed a 2 queen room that slept 5. Knowing queen beds sleep 2 each I wasn't sure if there was something I was missing for the additional person. Confused, I called the location directly to get clarification. The person who answered explained if it said sleeps 5 then it was for a suite that had a pullout couch. Based on this info I booked the room online about a month before our travels. A few days before our stay I checked out the app to verify the accommodations were accurate. Again I noticed the same 2 queen bed that only sleeps 4, not 5. I called again and spoke with Amanda, apparently a manager. She told me I would need to pay to upgrade the room or cancel the stay as the room only slept 4. I explained to her my previous phone call prior to booking and the info the rep gave me along with the assurance it was a suite with a pullout. I offered her to send the screenshot of the advertised room and description showing her "sleeps: 5" and my call log showing I called her hotel prior to booking. She was unhelpful in resolving the issue as she insinuated I chose the wrong room. After emailing her GM with no response and only 2 nights prior to our checkin I called Hilton guest services. They were able to reach out to the hotel, yet it was Amanda again who emailed me saying I needed to pay the difference or cancel the stay. Eventually, Hilton Corporate/Guest services was able to solve the issue as they could clearly see the online listing description saying the room sleeps 5 but with only 2 queens. The Hilton rep, Moustafa, was super compassionate and caring and comped the difference in the room prices so we could have the room that would fit our group. To top it off, Amanda later emailed me back that she had made a one time adjustment and that she made the correction, LOL... NO, actually Hilton corporate did since she and her GM FAILED TO DO SO! The room itself was outdated, cramped and right next to a loud, busy highway. Being that it was only one night we made due and vowed to never return to this location. The evening desk lady was super kind, sweet and helpful. I forget her name but pretty sure it starts with a "J". She's the only reason this is a 2 star reviews and not a 1 star review after this whole fiasco of blaming the customer.

Permanently placed out of order signs everywhere... Other ice machines also "out of order"...

Dumpy hotel, poorly maintained, and long overdue for a remodel. The lobby gives a false hope that the rooms might have been remodeled at some point in the last 25 years, but unfortunately everything is old, tired, damaged, and just worn out. Mystery stains and water damage on the ceilings and walls, and many more unsatisfactory things broken and "out of order" with no signs of ownership, management, or maintenance people caring about anything. Shameful and far beneath what I would typically expect from anywhere carrying the Hilton brand name. The only positive thing I can say is that the frontline staff were friendly and helpful.

We found this one on one of the beds.

It was good but we had some big problems. If the ere were no bugs I would have given them 4 stars. The front desk receptionist was great. But when I told the morning receptionist about the bugs she didn't seem to concerned. Also, when checked in two police patrol cars were there checking on a guest.

Had a business trip in San Jose and it is always hard to find a good hotel at a decent price especially in San Jose. Found this Hampton Inn about 3 miles from the office in Milpitas. It is located at the end in a court which has a large mall with many Chinese restaurants and stores. When I first got out of the car it was noisy as it is right by the freeway. I thought I will probably get a room on that side. Needless to say I got a room on that side but it was really quiet. Great insulation from the noise outside. Was greeted by Star who took great care of me when checking in and during my stay. They offer hot and cold options for breakfast which I had each morning. They have coffee and tea at al times. They also have popcorn and cookies in the afternoon. Nice lobby area to sit and relax and a big television to watch the game or the news. I will stay here next time I am in San Jose.

Complimentary breakfast. They have a waffle maker!

My aunt and I stayed here for the weekend to attend a wedding. Check-in wasn't until 3pm but they were nice enough to let us check in at 1pm. They provide complimentary breakfast every morning from 6am-10am. The spread wasn't bad. They have a waffle maker which I thought was pretty cool! The location itself is pretty convenient. Less than 15 mins from the airport and across the street is an asian plaza with lots of restaurants and a 99 Ranch Supermarket. It's very affordable and I would stay here again if I'm ever back in San Jose.

Needs some TLC. Room was iffy in terms of cleaning. Was tempted to fine a vacuum and do it myself.

We loved our 4 day stay at this Mariott Residence Inn, Milpitas Silicon Valley location. The only…read moreproblem we had, started off bad which was minor was we didn't get our room keys upon checking in, it wasn't ready til late the next day, so security had to open the doors for us, we checked in late at night so having a room key didn't matter, just having breakfast the next day we had to have the room opened after. Despite that, I loved this Residence Inn, very great convenient location, staff are super friendly and the parking is FREE!! I originally had another place in mind near the airport but the parking fee $25. x4 days which I saved by switching our hotel over here. Coming back late at night we had no problems with finding a parking spot, we were lucky to find a spot close to our room. Lets talk about the breakfast that I read great things about, it is true from the reviews, really Wow! staying here for 4 days, I was worried we would get sick of eating the same items but I can see they have different selections, I can see the staff working so hard, when preparing the daily complimentary breakfast & happy to see there is rice, furikake and miso soup! Reminds me of another Marriott when we stayed at Hillsboro, OR. Breakfast staff are so friendly, they greet you with a smile, I can feel the joy and love, while enjoying our breakast. 5 Stars! I loved our room, it is very spacious! Enough for the 4 of us, My hubby and I, My son and his friends. We sure made use of and utilized the stove, dining table, and fridge. We were here for a film festival out in Gilroy for few days and staying here was convenient for us. Also close proximity to Silicon Valley companies, Cisco System and ScanDisk. Near Great Mall, 10 miles from SJC! Thank you wonderful staff, I look forward to staying here again! Totally recommend!

I was happy with the location of my room because it was close to the entrance. I could park nearby and it was easy to load and unload my car. However, the room left a lot to be desired. The bathroom was so tiny and the toilet was positioned right in front of the mirror so you had to either position yourself on one side of the toilet really close to the counter or you stood to the right of the toilet, but far from the counter. The shower door had a gap so the water leaked from the shower onto the floor. It is just a matter of time before the flooring will warp because of this water. The bed was okay. I wish they had firmer pillows The hotel is located behind an In-N-Out. I thought this would be cool cause I could just easily walk to In-N-Out for food. However, it was so crowded with people going through the drive-thru and people hanging out in the parking lot behind it. The hotel is located at McCarthy Ranch, which has numerous restaurants both sit down and fast food and shop. This usually meant that the area was pretty busy. As far as Hiltons go, this wasn't the best. I was hoping that the location would make up for it, but it actually worked against it.

The room is nice and clean, spacious and quiet. It's at a location convenient to a ton of…read morerestaurants. However, don't come here if you need wifi. The free wifi is worse than what I've experienced at other Hilton hotels, even the lower end ones. It's constantly losing connection. I tried to upgrade to Premium wifi for some important calls. After forgetting my current network connection, it failed to show me the option to upgrade. I called the front desk which directed me to tech support, which then notified me that this hotel is no longer part of their network. So there's nothing I can do at this point but deal with the bad free internet. Not only can I not use the free internet for simple Google Meet calls, but even if I try pay them more money to upgrade, I can't. I'll also add that I booked a room through the app earlier and when I arrived, they had assigned me a different room. I booked that room specifically because it was a quieter location for my anxious dog but instead, we are now right next to the elevator and stairs.

At first glance, the property looks fairly new, but once inside it feels a bit dated or slightly rundown -- maybe due to the lighting and overall décor. The restaurant/bar is right next to the lobby, and the space tends to be occupied by bar customers, which can make the lobby feel less like a hotel common area. The room itself is average, exactly what you'd expect from a standard Holiday Inn. Nothing bad, nothing standout. One thing to note: there's no complimentary breakfast, unlike many other Holiday Inn locations, so factor that into your budget. For a 1-2 night stay on a budget, it does the job. The location is convenient, and I especially liked having a drive‑thru Starbucks nearby -- perfect for early risers.

Over all service and check in 4/5. Hotel / amenities :2/5 The place is decorated for Christmas, the tree is beautiful , and the star of the building is the chandlers when you walk into the hotel. They have a pool and a hot tub located outside but the ensemble of the back is beautiful , and well decorated . THE ROOM itself has a lot of buff needs as well as a shower drain that's so slow that my 20 min shower was cut short to about 8 min due to the water backing up and the shower itself is less than 2 inches of Leeway before you have no choice but to cut it off I was willing to deal with that however .... - & as of our second day we just found out that the latch wouldn't lock but we still had the flap - and you would still need a key to enter . HOWEVER . My husband was leaning on the door to get something out of his pocket and the door just opened automatically. So you don't even need your key for my room . This whole time if it was not latched and because the deadbolt didn't work ... you could just push the door open ..I had to have them change the rooms , just to find out ... the rooms with tubs are NOT all located on the first floor like the clerk said , and we were moved from 308- 315 Over all rating of 2/5 Brighter side ? They also have an up to date gym located inside overlooking the pool area so it gives got good vibes when you are running or working out . Diamond members accommodations : For diamond elite members they offer you a complimentary upgraded room . As well as free breakfast for 2 but also it's mediocre at best ... And preferred parking in the front of the building. But you also still have to pay to park . ... Price / location : 1/5 Between the three times I have been here , and the couple more my husband has for work pricing can vary depending on the person . A group of 5 was in the lobby trying to add breakfast to there room package and the front desk quoted him 21.00 per person ... However the father of the group showed her the 15.00/ per person rule on his phone and she all the sudden said "ok would you please tell me the amount of people eating at 15.00 / per person . " That shows me if people don't KNOW THE RULES THE RULES CHANGE . Pricing is always different every time we come . We got charged 15.00 - a day for parking however we are diamond delete members with reserved parking . Not to mention 20.00 a day for last time we stayed here . And the SECURITY GAURD is wild . He kept asking me questions ... staring at me and walked past me hella slow in the lobby.... recording me while I'm sitting here waiting for my Pizza Hut . And walks outside. He already asked me twice if I had a room and I said yes. I don't know what his deal is but I don't like feeling like I don't belong somewhere just because I'm in "relaxation attire "

We have not had the need to pay for parking at any of the other Hyatt houses and Hyatt places before. Silly, I thought. The plaza had cautionary signs about car break ins and safety every 20 feet.
