After some business in Big Bear Lake, I figured on staying in Southern California for a couple of days. Only about 1,5 hours from Big Bear Lake so let's do it. It can be difficult finding an ocean front condo and for a reasonable price, but this place fit us perfectly and the price, although mid range, $500 per night was well worth it. Starting with Check in, it was seamless. Ryan, at the front desk made it so simple. Our unit, one bedroom, 1.5 bathrooms, kitchen living room and a terrace overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Can't ask for much more. Anything you need or want is literally within walking distance. Restaurants galore and many oceanfront. A supermarket about 50 yards from here. This is Southern California, so as the song goes " It Never Rains in California ". Yes I know there's more to this song, but I'm leaving it at that because the weather was absolutely perfect. From our terrace we could watch surfers all day and into the evening. The sunset was like an artist painting. Almost brings tears to your eyes. Just a couple of small issues. First, there are Ductless AC units in the condo but they weren't working. It's very warm, in the 90's, and no AC could be a problem. Ryan, at check in was upfront about this and told us there was a portable AC unit in our condo, which worked fine.disaster averted. Parking is very tight, but as I said before, anything you need is within walking distance, so once I parked my car, I never got in it again until we were leaving. Finally, yes it is ocean front, but there was a beach house in front of us so our view was slightly hindered but not enough to make a difference. If I'm back in this area, or anywhere nearby, I would definitely stay here, and they have a number of units so I'll let you know next time we're here and you can join us. You can be our guests.

Security of the complex and parking area is minimal. Anyone from the alley can easily access the parking lot and all units in this complex (not a good thing in California). At least a week prior to our arrival, someone in the unit had broken a bottle of horridly pungent woman's perfume in the master bedroom. The entire unit reeked, particularly the bedroom, making that room virtually unusable. All windows in the unit had to be kept open 24/7 to make the unit somewhat livable. The odor was absorbed into our clothing and luggage. The cleaning staff, who are there only a couple hours per day at unpredictable times, informed us they had cleaned the smell to the best of their ability and there was nothing more they could do. Due to our inconvenience, we asked for either another unit and/or some other compensation. We were given neither, except the offer to move to a completely different complex for the last night of our five night stay. The management's lack of concern and fairness illustrates very poor business practice and ensures we will never rent from this group (Everyday Luxury) again.

The views are simply unparalleled -- nearly panoramic and absolutely stunning. The accommodations are comfortable and clean, exactly what you need for a great beach trip. Room 5A is a gem -- no elevator or modern extras, but the breathtaking views more than make up for it. It's an older property and the exterior shows it, but that's part of its charm. For a classic, relaxed beach getaway, the location and scenery are simply unbeatable. We'll always request this room.

The linens and towels were upscale. Very fresh and clean. Kitchen had beyond the few basics including dishes, flatware, full size fridge with freezer, and a nice coffee maker to make fresh coffee. The location was ideal because it was so quiet-no noise from PCH. Very close to town, just a few minutes' drive. Very good communication and tips on staying at the cottages. Sean was extremely helpful and very prompt with replies. Some of the one star reviews are quite outdated. Years ago. Both the living room and bedroom of our yellow cottage had wonderfully quiet ceiling fans and there was air-conditioning. We stayed in a particularly warm November of 2025 and kept the windows slightly a jar all day and even in the evening - it was ideal. FYI: The front entrance has quite a few stairs. Steep stairs. There's a back entrance accessed via the high school parking lot that made it easier to load and unload, but still a bit of a challenge for us seniors with rolling suitcases (and a recent hip replacement ;)). Still, we managed and would definitely stay here again!

Forest Creek, lighting is marginal, windows are old. Comfortable for sure. Everything you need is here. AC in both living room and bedroom. Also ceiling fans. Bathroom is small, very vintage, but with fabulous water pressure. There is a lower gate that cuts your walk time down to the main part of laguna. Management is good, very communicative. That small issue with front door lock which got immediate response.

It's not like I put it at 50. So that irks me. Walls are thin. Woke up at 1:45am to moans from the room next door. Luckily the woman hit the right soprano notes so it wasn't too bothersome, nor did it last beyond 10 minutes, but just something to be aware of if you're a light sleeper like me. But other than that, the room is clean, shower's hot water comes on relatively quickly and works well so overall we had a good stay.

The worst of it is the constant noise from the heavy metal chairs and tables being scraped and moved on the tile floor in the bar above until 11:00pm nightly. The bedroom room is not large either but it was me and my BF and it was fine for the two of us. Would be perfect for a solo traveler. Alkaline water fountain in the courtyard area that you can fill your bottles up with! I have never seen alkaline water fountains and now I'm obsessed. In the room, they have a cool pour over coffee set up, a mini fridge and a microwave, and really lovely products (especially love the soap). But, there are some things that needed attention (broken TP holder, grate in shower) and when we checked out we told woman at office, Donna, and she was great and said she would sent the maintenance worker there right away. Had a billing issue but Donna resolved it promptly. They also have a USB port right by the beds which is great cuz we forgot our connector. Room was very clean and the bed is hella comfortable with a down comforter and down throw pillows. They also have a full set of dishes on the table but if you get take out, know you can have full plates. We just went out for food but were good perks. They also have a super comfy Hammock!!! All in all, a small cozy room, nice location and excellent amenities!

I booked a king room the night before I arrived and got a thorough text from Chris about my check in time (which I was granted an early 1p check in without even asking!), parking, amenities and how to use the app for my room key. All points were covered and Chris really set up a seamless, contactless experience. The location was ideal, right across from the Montage resort - open to the public. I walked down to the beach most nights and got a good workout while at it, prepare for stairs. I had dinner at the amazing Starfish Laguna next door to the lodge and got groceries at Gelson's at the same plaza. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves. My room was beautiful. Ample seating, a cozy dining area, a kitchenette with a full sized fridge and microwave, beach chairs included in the closet, spacious bathroom (for a solo traveling gal) and a comfy bed with extra blankets in storage. Roku tv included for entertainment. My room was on the farther end of the property, where my view was the edge of a hill lol but I honestly loved the quiet, spacious corner room. Despite the lack of a physical key, I felt very safe in this space and barely noticed sounds from neighbors. I would love to stay here at any time!
