What a fantastic little find!…read more We stopped by for brunch as this "Mediterranean-inspired" brunch caught our eye. It lived up to our expectations and exceeded them. The restaurant is bright, clean, and modern. We started with the Smooth Criminal cocktail and the Pineapple Sangria. Both great. Well balanced, unique ingredients, everything you want in a unique cocktail. We did order the whipped feta appetizer, but unfortunately they were very busy and there was some miscommunication. We didn't get to eat it at the restaurant, but they kindly packaged it for us to take home and we enjoyed it later. Although it was good, it would have been way better fresh. But these things happen, it didn't spoil our brunch. On to the mains: lamb shoulder hash...at brunch? Yes, please!!! Topped with two perfectly poached eggs, and brunch potatoes on the side with a nice crisp salad and fresh bread. The lamb was seasoned to perfection, and melted in my mouth. The biggest surprise for me were the potatoes. Brunch potatoes are usually overly greasy and bland. These were fresh, salted, and had the perfect crispness. I would like to think they are fresh, but even if they're frozen...well done! I would have happily eaten 2-3 of these lamb dishes. The French toast was the second entree. Brown butter and maple foam, on top of a piece of French toast that is the size of a small child. Even with all of the sauce, the toast was still crisp. It was a very heavy dish, some fresh berries with some acidity would be nice to cut through it, but the overall flavor was on point. The wine list is exquisite. If you enjoy good wine, this is the spot for you. Their reserve list has some absolute bangers on it at a very reasonable price. All in all, it was a nice experience. We would happily recommend and return.

Ambiance reminds me of a fancy place you would find in a larger city. Upscale and minimalistic. Very pleasant. I sat at the bar so unsure about service at a table. Unfortunately, I felt overlooked at the bar, especially since I wasn't drinking. The staff was extremely busy making drinks and I had to get their attention whenever I needed anything. Would recommend making reservations to get a table seat to receive proper service. I ordered the burger with fries. Cooked well but the flavor was nothing special. Will return and try something else!

We could tell there were a lot of repeat customers. The diners were enjoying their food and the servers seemed happy to be there. They seemed to enjoy talking to their regulars. I got chicken fried chicken and Dan got chicken fried steak. Both were good, but mine was better. That might be because I always prefer chicken fried chicken. The way the Brookside diner prepares chicken fried chicken is outstanding. I got a large piece of chicken that filled my plate. It was also thick. Some diners pound thin pieces of chicken to the point it's so thin that it is overdone in the time it takes to get the breading crisp. Not Brookside. They produce a perfect chicken fried chicken, nice and crispy on the outside and moist and tender on the inside. I noticed a chalk board listing the specials. The day we were there, it was meatloaf. I also noticed some tempting deserts which I plan to get when I don't eat such a large meal. I enjoyed my experience at the Brookside Diner. Looking forward to our next visit.

They definitely have their own twist on things. The sweet potatoes were good but a little heavy on the nutmeg. They tasted like a mix of apple and pumpkin pie. The mac and cheese was really creamy. I really liked the horseradish coleslaw. I'm not a big fan of collard greens but I still tried them and actually thought they were pretty good. For our mains, two of us had the brisket and one had ribs. Both were super good. There were 4 different sauces. I recommend trying them all. I wanted to try the sausage but they were sold out. I guess you need to get there earlier than an hour before they closed. We finished with a couple desserts. The banana pudding was probably the best I've had. Their seasonal cobbler was blueberry and very tasty! I was hoping for peach. Maybe next time. Yes there will definitely be a next time. It was a lot of food so we had plenty left over that ate for lunch the next day. The atmosphere is super friendly and really clean. Like most barbecue places I've been to there is no table service. You order and pay at the counter. Then depending on how busy they are they will bring your food to your table or have you pick up at the counter. For me the cherry on top is their pay it forward meal. For $15 you can buy a meal for someone in need. They hand you a receipt that you pin to a board. Then when someone needs a meal they can go in and grab one off the board. They offer them their lunch special. While I was there I saw a very grateful individual come in and get a meal. The staff were super nice and treated them just like any other customer. Great food! Great service! Great value! Do yourself a favor and try this place!

We ordered the tri tip dip sandwich which was the highlight of the meal. It was delicious. We also ordered the grilled chicken sandwich and that was full of flavor. The focaccia was on the dryer side and the chicken didn't fill out the bun so it was just kind of off texture wise and lacking fullness but the favor was 10/10. The chips and red onion dip were a nice little touch. Something I've never had before and we enjoyed it

The good:…read more-Service -bread studded with garlic -Lemon honey vinaigrette (house salad) -shrimp & grits -salmon -baked fudge The bad: -my dad did not like the beef stroganoff -coffee Creme brûlée -bread pudding -never expected the Caesar salad to have bacon The detailed version... My party of 5 had a good dinner here. Service was great especially considering how many tables our waitress was covering! She was running all around the place and did a good job. The recommendation for the lemon honey vinaigrette on the house salad was spot on. Unfortunately my nephew didn't realize their Caesar salad comes with bacon and he doesn't eat pork. Thankfully they took it off our bill since he didn't eat a bite. So take note: they put bacon on their Caesar salad (just seems a bit odd). The bread was a bit difficult to cut (it wasn't cut through on the bottom and the crust was very tough on the bottom) but it was worth the effort. It had cloves of baked garlic that was like hitting a flavor jackpot! Unfortunately, my dad did not like the beef stroganoff and it's one of his favorite dishes elsewhere. Two of us got the shrimp & grits. This dish was divine and we both loved it. The bacon wrapped around the shrimp was crunchy (so good). And the oil sauce had a tiny bit of a spicy kick which I loved. The star of the dish was the jalapeño cheese grits!!! They were not spicy, just flavorful, creamy and addictive! These were the best grits I've ever eaten. Two of us got the salmon. It was cooked perfectly and tasted really good. The veggies were delicious too. We all tried the coffee Creme brûlée that two of us ordered. None of us liked it and I would go so far as to say we hated it. It was bland yet still the coffee flavor was strong while also being almost *unsweetened*. I'd describe it as a "mousse" and not a brûlée. There were a few crunchy grains of sugar on top, but if you expect a traditional brûlée, you're going to be sorely disappointed. The bread pudding... ugghhh. It was like a warm slice of thick plain bread topped with creme anglaise and ice cream. This, too, is disappointing if you expect a traditional dessert of small pieces of bread soaked and cooked in a sweet sauce. My mom actually could have used a fork to cut the bread. It really wasn't very good. Maybe it was supposed to be a "deconstructed" bread pudding, but it just didn't work. The baked fudge was the only dessert that was delicious. It was like a very warm, soft, wonderful brownie. The ice cream was rich and went perfectly with the chocolate brownie. It's too bad the menu listed other things that it should have been topped with (I think it said strawberries and my mom thought it also said pecans). The missing toppings would have been great, but it was really good plain. I really wanted to give this place 4 stars, but the desserts were just so disappointing. (To be honest, the shrimp & grits deserve 5 stars.)

We had a reservation but it quickly filled in (I believe there was a show at the Tulsa theater) Our server was super sweet and gave some great dinner and drink recommendations. She recommended the lavender lemon drop and it was fantastic. Followed by drinks we had our bread service. The lemon blueberry butter was absolutely to die for and I have a sad feeling it was a seasonal item. We then ordered The Lobster "Roll" and honestly I loved it. The lobster itself tasted fresh and the sauce that accompanied it was fantastic. Our mains came out and as you can see they were plated beautifully. The pork bell was had such a good flavor and the saffron risotto and bok choy below it were amazing. As a whole, I would classify this as the perfect date night spot with the guarantee of excellent food, curated drinks, and excellent service. Juniper has my heart and I can't wait to go back!!

We ended up not getting the prix fixe meals because the deserts were all chocolate (I don't care for chocolate). I got the beet salad (which is m go-to here) and the boyfriend got duck two ways. It was good enough, but maybe not something to write home about. Maybe it was just because we expected a bit more on V Day. There were wine glasses on the table and even though it was dark in there, we could still see stuff on them. I shined my phone light and mine had little specs that might have been cooked on by the dishwasher??? Not sure. The waitress took them off the table for us. Our cocktails were nice.
