We ordered our food at 6pm and I told the server we were in a hurry as we had to be somewhere by 7pm. At 635pm I asked where our food was? She went to the kitchen window and asked the TWO guys standing there chatting about it. They said we're making it now. Seriously? After 35 minutes they decide to make it? I told the server we'll just pay for the drinks we're leaving. Suddenly our food was done and they asked if we'd like it to go. So it takes minutes to prepare yet by this time they waited 40 minutes to make it? I wasn't going to eat in the car but my son took his as he was starving and had a school function until 9pm which we were now late to. After another several minutes waiting at the register I just put money down and left. Throughout this entire ordeal there was no manager or anyone who seemed to be in charge, just a bunch of kids trying to run this place. Completely disorganized and chaotic. Out of the few steak and shake restaurants that I've been to ever this location has to have the worst service. I usually go through the drive-thru though sometimes I do dine inside because I work nearby and everytime I go thru the drive-thru my order is filled wrong. The associate will repeat my order back correctly when I order but some how they still seem to fill it wring even though i only order two items and I am the only car in the drive-thru line. That along with the fact that I paid for upgrades to premium sides that I never recieved so I am actually getting ripped off for my money and by the time I get home and notce it is to late has resulted in fact that I will never eat at this location again and I recommend others to do so to. read more

Unbelievable horrible service.....stood 10 minutes while 3 waitresses chatted behind the counter. When seated, waited another 10 minutes to get a menu, then when the people next to me said they had waited a long time and had not had any menus, I walked out. The people next to me walked out also. Apparently no one wants to work at this location because the last 6 times I have ordered take out and actually ate in, the service was horrible and extremely slow. Everytime i was told, someone called off of work, waitress but mostly cooks. Yesterday was the worst. Stopped in at 10:30 and asked if we could get a breakfast menu. I was told that one of the cooks called off and could not make pancake mix. WHAT! Maybe you need a college degree to make breakfast. Think about most breakfast food, FRY IT. After the surprise notice that the cook called off, I asked the waitress why everytime I stop there someone called off and takes forever. She then told me that I could order something from the lunch menu or have a nice fathers day. How sweet. Sure her dad would be proud of a real smart ass he raised. WE left of course and then it gets better or maybe a little worse. Our car would not start. Called my brother and my girlfriends son and they came up to help. While waiting for her son , my brother said he was going in to get a banana milk shake. HE ordered and paid. Waited 15 minutes, which he pointed out from there drive through clock. HE asked and they told him they were working on it. He said screw it and wanted his money back. They said they could not refund his money in cash but could give him a gift card. That did not go over very well and finally they agreed to refund his money. They shorted him 19 cents. Incredible! Certainly was not going back for 19 cents because the Cavs game was on at 8PM and it was already 11AM and not sure we would have made it in time, the way these people move. LOVE there shakes and burgers, but will never eat or order from this location again. Anyone looking for work go to Steak and Shake but you must be slow, don"t like to work and have a cell phone handy to call off and must come into work cranky as hell so you can be the rudest person you know how to be. Lost this guy and everyone that asks me about this joke of a restaurant. read more

Late night order, waited 5 minuted outside for my take out order to be "Freshly" made. When the food came out, the burger was Lukewarm, fries almost cold, shake very frothy and watery like. Very disappointing and I won't come back! read more

No stars.. yes no stars... (the app made me select one to post) the complete bs I just witnessed as a customer left me with a real stale taste in my mouth. This is the first dine in experience where the stale taste wasn't caused by the food. I went with my family to this location for lunch. The place was busy which is exactly what any good store manager would want; however a good store manager would also want their customers leaving there location feeling respected, valued, & fully satisfied with their dine in experience. Our experience started out great but it slowly showed signs that it was headed down hill when our burgers came to the table before our salads and shakes. We usually frequent the Parmatown location. They seem so much more professional. When our shakes were delivered to the table the chocolate shake made it to the table but the strawberry banana shake was poured into my wifes lap. As you can imagine this feels great in an air conditioned room while wearing shorts. The shake poured straight down my wifes bare leg into her shoe and onto the floor. My wife received a borage of "I'm sorry!"s which is awesome and conveys how the workers were feeling at the time. The most important question or worry during this situation is #1 How does the customer feel? #2 How can we help them? #3 What can we do to rectify the situation? In retrospect all we received was late food, apologies, wet pants, napkins, and a bill to pay for it all. Yes a bill! The manager came over attempting to offer apologies and a mop. Not once did she offer a solution to rectify my wifes ruined clothes and meal. I as her husband had to speak up and ask for some type of resolution. Some people have the knack to be a store manager while others just don't. This type of manager is what I commonly refer to as a floater. Floaters are managers who do just enough to maintain current numbers and current status quo. They really have no talent or abilities which are beneficial to improving the overall profitability or running of the store. When this location implements points #1,#2, &#3 they will be taking a step in the right direction. It is needless to say that we won't be back anytime soon nor recommending it. read more
