I used to love going to Yours Truly in Chagrin Falls but for the last 6 months it always leaves me feeling not just disappointed, but dejected. For the latest visit, we walked right in and were seated right away. Our food came out an hour later. Our server said she put our food in (the time stamp says 20 minutes after we sat down) and that the kitchen didn't receiver our order. 40 minutes after we sat down I had to walk over to another server who was actively ignoring us and ask her for help. Our server was busy talking with a large group of her friends at first their table and then the hostess stand. We left with our food in to-go containers after 60 minutes feeling like we were not even humans worth looking at. After 13 years of regular visits, I won't be returning to a place that makes me feel so terrible after visiting. I can this diner food faster, cheaper, and better in my own kitchen. Or I can visit many of the other better options (etalian, Parkside grill, M Italia, Eugene Tavern, etc) where the staff is friendly and kind. read more

Pretty sure my friends and I got racially profiled at this restaurant. Two Latinas and an African-American Indian women. My friends and I were having a girls night and we arrived at 8:00 pm and when we first arrived, we were told there was a 25 minutes wait. We waited almost an hour to be seated, other people that arrived after us got seated before us. The rest room was disgustingly dirty and when told about it, the worker said that they knew but they were busy. It took over 20 minutes for our server to come over and ask us what we wanted to order. Then it took about 40 minutes for it to come out. My food, as seen in the pictures, came out like warm, greasy and with no seasoning on the chicken. One friend of mine ordered chicken fingers and it came out cold. Another friend of mine ordered a burger, medium well and it came burnt inside and out.. Our server hasn't checked on those almost the whole time we were sitting and till we got the manager involved and then she can't come over every five minutes. Now, as we're leaving, all the surrounding stores around us are closed and now we cannot even finish enjoying our evening and we came far to visit our friend. I'm trying to give this half a star and it will not allow me so I'm gonna give it a one star. First time checking out this location, to start our server was not friendly. She came over with an angry demeanor and didn't even ask what to get our table to eat, she just looked at us when she was ready to write down our order. Interesting serving technique. Food was average overall, a little pricy and had to pay extra for fries with a sandwich which was even more expensive. We ordered our favorite, sunrise breakfast, and substituted potatoes for tomatoes. Our waitress, Donna, offered us a variety of toasts including gluten-free but didn't tell us there would be an up-charge-- They have every sugar substitute known to man except for Stevia. The offer fresh squeezed orange juice and grapefruit juice, but you couldn't get real cream or whole milk for your coffee, only imitation--Blech. Stopped here to check out the upstairs Christmas bar. Lots of holiday themed beverages. This place is a diner, so temper your expectations when it comes to food. It's good, not great. Service is terrible and takes forever. We went there and they messed up time it would take a table ( said 20-25 and it took 50). Didn't give us silverware, took 20 min to take order, took an hour and 10 min to get food. Absolutely insane how much this place has gone down since it was remodeled. I don't know if the original owner was bought out, but it's not the same and I would recommend to go somewhere else . There are so many nice places in Chagrin to not waste your time here. read more

Good visit and an impromptu dinner with the family on a Sunday. The restaurant was steady, no wait. The food was good, as-always, their burgers are delicious. I love the change to these spiral fries, they're crispy and extra crunchy. A couple of service related things...we ordered a large side of loaded Lotso Notso to share amongst is and it didn't come out with the meal. It came-out as my wife was finishing her burger. Also, one of our daughters got a sandwich with intent to share the "community" fries and they brought out a sandwich with fries and billed us for that. I didn't say anything because we ate it, but it wasn't something we ordered. My youngest daughter got the "mouse" pancakes. For $6 to not come with meat and the pancake was tough as leather, maybe I should have guided her away from that. Finally at the end of the meal, needing refills, boxes and our check; our server was nowhere to be found. Overall, good place to go. This little quaint place, came highly recommended by the locals in Chagrin, as I was in town to experience the town and all its charm and needed some dinner. Dining a little later, made my 40th birthday dinner remarkable, in this diner style restaurant with a bar in the front. My mom and I would always celebrate our birthdays, with dinner, so to honor her memory and our tradition this was my choice. My server was friendly, service was prompt in receiving my food and drinks. I ordered the grilled salmon, side salad, and a side of spinach and onions. This restaurant had a complete remodeling a few years ago. Located in the center of Chagrin Falls, the shop is on a corner with windows on those sides. There is lots of light. The new decor has a high ceiling with a clean industrial look. There is a bar, and a dining room upstairs. We were seated. Menus came right away. Four of us visited for a while. After 45 minutes I told the waitress we were ready to order. She had walked passed our table many times. Maybe she saw we were having a nice visit. Anyway, the food came out quickly, and it was good. I had the chicken walnut salad with a variety of fruit. The chicken was tasty with too much dill added. This is a nice family restaurant and a nice meet up place with friends. read more

This place would be great if there was some consistency in their cooking. Sometimes the breakfast is perfectly cooked, and sometimes it's not. We've had some experiences where bacon was so underdone that we had to send it back, the potatoes were cold, the eggs were undercooked, and we've had some times where everything was done just right. Some of the wait staff had been amazing, and some barely talk or come to check in on us. If they could fix the inconsistency overall, it would be a great experience every time. read more

Once I sat down it took about 5-6 minutes to get waited on, which was good, I knew what I wanted when our waitress came by. It took about another 6-7 minutes, I had my food. I was like 'Wow! This looks amazing!' It was small and cramped, the food made up for all of that. I had one of their breakfasts from the menu, eggs, hash browns, ham and toast. It was awesome! Food here is awesome, everything I seen coming and going looked great.m, the place just smells awesome too! Their coffee leaves a lot to be desired, but their food is nothing short of awesome! Squeezed in here, gave my name and number to girl at the front. She said it would be about a 15 minutes wait. About 25 minutes later, I did receive a call but due to the noise level in the restaurant, did not hear it. However, I was just angry that the hostess never called my name in the crowd. I was waiting next to where she was standing the whole entire time. She also knew exactly what I looked like so instead of calling me on my phone, she could've just nudged me or gotten my attention manually IRL. Anyways, after waiting dumbly for another 10 minutes, I approach her and ask whether we can be seated. This girl gave me a seriously impatient look and said "I definitely called your name..." Ummm...she definitely did not. She slammed down a menu, rolled her eyes and said in a most reluctant tone "you can come with me to get seated." For very basic breakfast food, it's overpriced and not very varied. I'd recommend Cracker Barrel or Denny's. For old people food, it's also overpriced and not very varied. I'd recommend Bob Evans and iHop. If any other restaurant is open, I will go there instead if I'm in CF. No shade to the Solon location though. I had never seen fries like that before they were like fat potato chips or waffle cut but disc shaped I have never been a fan of steak fries I like my fries thin and crispy so flavor wise that's how they were so if you like steak fries you would've liked these fries. They had a complete separate gluten-free menu that you got to hold onto to decide what you wanted. It didn't have pictures but it was one of the most thorough gluten-free menus I've seen. You could substitute gluten-free toast instead of a bun or bread for any of the sandwiches. All the burgers are gluten-free but not all the sandwiches so be careful. I chose the Buckeye burger with cheddar cheese, bacon, tomato and pickles on the side, which was delicious and perfectly cooked. With the gluten free toast, they cut it in half so it made it easier to manage. The coleslaw was some of the best I've ever tasted fresh and delicious. The atmosphere was bright. It was almost full when we arrived early afternoon but there was no waiting. The din of conversations made it a bit challenging to hear. It's conveniently located next to the falls so we had a delightful stroll after lunch. I almost forgot until I looked at these pictures I took that there was some weird meat wrapper or paper on the plate. Yours Truly is the closest equivalent to diner food that Cleveland has to offer. The Chagrin Falls location is a fresh, crisp upgrade to your old town favourite. On this night, we got great takeout from the remodeled Chagrin Falls location because it is always quick and easy! I ordered the Friday Fish Fry and a side of Notso Lotso Fries. Note: Fish Fry is only available on "Frydays." They gave me two large, golden crispy cod filets. I ordered a side of Notso Lotso fries to accompany my fish feast. Notso Lotso are cottage fries smothered in cheese, chopped bacon, and topped with a spoonful of sour cream. Yum! read more
