Worse experience I've had at a restaurant in a long time. First the restaurant was dirty and it smelled horrible when we walked in. I found a long black hair in my burger and asked them to remake it, they did but never said sorry or offered a refund or anything they just looked at me. Stopped in here after a movie with the kiddos one day. I had the jalapeño crunch burger with Cajun fries and a butterfinger shake. My daughter had the chicken fingers with fries and an Oreo shake. My son had a cheeseburger with fries and a m&m shake. The wife had a taco salad. First off, my burger was fantastic. I love their burgers. Not quite as good as BA Burrito, but pretty darned good. The shake was the highlight though, in my opinion. It was amazing. May have been because it was approximately 4,000 degree outside - but it was good. The kids and the wife all enjoyed their food, as well. One of the biggest selling points for me is the price. We all ate for under $30 and that's with shakes! Pretty good deal if you ask me. I didn't ask for a military discount, but apparently the lady at the checkout saw my military ID and gave me 10% off (I'll take it). My single bacon burger had a patty the size of a thin piece of sausage. The lady tried to tell me that it was because the cook smashed it too hard . To top off a disappointment of a meal, they no longer have the steakburger seasoning for fries. My burger was smaller than a kids meal burger. Ridiculous! Meh..... looked much better than it actually was. It was pretty popping when we got there, but the shake was not all it was cracked up to be. It tasted more like sugar in a cup. We sat down to chill for a bit, but they brought us our shakes in to go cups. Our waiter(wish I could remember his name) was nice and friendly, but as for the shake.... it could have been better. The other shakes we got were the Nutella one and the butterfinger one, those were obviously sweet too but better. Overall the 3 stars come from not great shakes, but good service. read more

Long wait for the shake . The burger was decent but nothing special . The food is better than most fast food places .

The last couple times I tried it, they have gotten their food up to par. Guess it just took a while to get people trained.

I didn't think bacon could taste bad but it was awful it tasted like plastic. Used their drive thru today, first time at this new location. They were patient while i reviewed the menu. Guy at the window was really nice when handling our payment and giving us the food. I understand when you have had a long day but when you are at work and still being paid you are to do your job. Honestly our service was kind of pathetic. Food was okay and our order was only messed up like three time but no big deal right? Wrong. It was an awful experience and the waitress switched to someone else so she wouldn't "argue" with us. Like what? We were trying not to get frustrated but when you are trying to sit down and eat a meal you paid for it should be right. They refused to give us our shakes, making us kinda mad. They were very slow and kept yelling at us. They also gave us they wrong order.

When I went about a month ago we had a large order for 10 people and we called it in and we still had to wait but that wasn't so bad but the workers talking about the customers was they were saying that all the customers was coming in because they had gotten their income tax back that that was the only way they could afford it and they were looking at different guest and laughing and pointing at different guest so I asked to speak to a manager and the one doing the most talking and laughing was the manager her explanation for her actions was she was talking about other restaurant's a nd there customers not steak and shakes customers. The food is actually good, but not worth the long wait and bad service. We last dined here during the last week of May. The burgers were good, but we did not receive a refill throughout our entire meal. It appears that the wait staff just hangs out behind the counter and in the hallway. It is worth pointing out that this was a Monday night and business was relatively slow. I noticed the manager was going around maintaining the sweeping and general appearance of the restaurant while his employees were relaxing. However, I did see the cooks working hard back in the kitchen. It is also worth pointing out that this location is not 24 hours and does not have breakfast like most Steak N' Shakes. All of this combined with the day that we spent in the doctor's office for a Hep A vaccine after my son's visit during the first week of June, it's not exactly worth it. I don't know what it is about Jonesboro, Arkansas that can absolutely ruin otherwise successful businesses and franchises. read more
