Lunch and drinks with a colleague brought me to LongHorn. Because I wasn't very hungry, I ordered a side of Brussel sprouts and a side of fries, plus a spiked strawberry lemonade. The service was great, the booth was comfortable, and the food was okay-- my sprouts were a little too crispy/charred although the sauce on them was great, and my fries were a little too heavily salted. The staff was working very quickly given how full the restaurant was. For context, this was a Friday afternoon on graduation weekend in a college town. I accidentally left my credit card in the sleeve after paying, and had to return to the restaurant later to inquire about it. Again, the staff was excellent. A manager had locked the card away and went to retrieve it for me. Before giving it to me, they asked for my ID to verify that it was my card. I appreciate that level of due diligence. read more

My boyfriend and I came to Longhorn today and we were very pleased! He got a fillet with corn and fries and I got the salmon with shrimp. The steak was flavorful and juicy and the fries were crispy and not too salty. My salmon and shrimp had a nice sear and tasted fresh. We shared a molten lava cake for dessert and it was the perfect balance of sweet but not too sweet. The service here was quick our waitress was friendly. After working up an appetite from the negotiations over at the Nissan dealer, it was finally time to celebrate my new purchase. The server was at our table within seconds of being seated, took our drink order and returned for the food order. Her service was excellent; we didn't need to ask for refills or any extra condiments. Our food was served at perfect temperature, hot but not so hot you had to blow on it to cool it off. I love a good steak and when it's cooked just right on a flat grill its juicy, tenderness just melts in your mouth. They also have a full bar and a nice 'on tap' selection of your so inclined. This Longhorn location is decent, but I've been to much better locations elsewhere. My group of 3 dined here twice over the last month. The dinner menu is definitely better because the lunch menu is limited. The Parmesan Crusted Chicken and Chicken Tenders and Strawberry Lemonade aren't that great at this location. Some things that they do well are the complimentary bread, Steakhouse Wings, Wild West shrimp, and Firecracker Chicken Wraps. Other people that had showed up 10-20 minutes after us had already eaten and left by the time we received our food. We had four 10oz sirloins, two baked potatoes, one sweet potato with brown sugar and butter, one cheese burger and fries, mashed potatoes, three Caesar side salads, one garden side salad, one strawberry walnut salad with grilled chicken, an apple caramel dessert and a chocolate stampede with five different chocolates, one water, three teas and one sprite and two loaves of bread for $119!!! I'm a fan of Longhorn Steakhouses near and far, but during our 2.5 year stint in Jonesboro, AR, I've never been able to hoot and holler about this particular location. I can't quite put my finger on it, but there's something to it. The service is always friendly, which keeps us going back, and the food is consistent. Hubs loves the Parmesan crusted chicken and I'm partial to the salmon Caesar salad (gah, love those buttery croutons)! Maybe it's the long wait that we can never seem to bypass unless we sit at the bar. I've never been able to determine if it's an operations issue or general popularity. Overall, not a major deal, but we definitely take it into account when deciding on dinner. All things considered, Longhorn still makes the cut, so that says a lot! read more

First of all let's start with the main part of any restaurant: the food. The food was good, but over seasoned. The cooks seem to love to drown things in salt. Other than that there were no problems with the food. The service is what really brought the review down. When we first walked in there was no one at the hostess table to greet or seat us, and we had to wait a while until a waiter noticed us to be seated. Throughout the course of our meal, we saw our waiter maybe twice. He seemed really distracted and bored with the fact that he had to serve us. He never came by to ask if we needed refills, (we had to flag someone else down and ask) we also had to ask him several times for the check. The restaurant wasn't even the least bit crowded. There were maybe 4 other tables with people at them, so I really don't get why we hardly ever saw him. Just a side note, but why is the restaurant so dimly lit? After my last review I was contacted by Longhorn's PR and asked for more information about my visit and my address so that they could send me a gift card. I was so shocked by this! I can tell they really can about their costumers opinions and that means a lot to me. So I went back and tried some new items and boy was this experience a lot different! The firecracker chicken was amazing, just the right amount of spicy. And the parmesan crusted chicken, WOW! So good! I will definetly be ordering it again. The steakhouse mac and cheese was probably the best mac and cheese I've ever had! It wasn't greasy like so restaurant mac and cheese that I've had which was a major plus. The prices have spiked a lot since my last time here. Neither food nor the service have increased in quality to make for that. The family and I went today for a Sunday lunch. No one liked their salads much. Well, mine was okay, but my wife did not like her Caesar... or the Caesar they brought out to replace the first one she was unhappy with. Both of her salads had too many spines from the lettuce and too much dressing. They comped us on two of the kids' orders when they brought out spicy shrimp appetizers instead of their orders of wings. It was a simple and easy mistake, and they apologized. My chopped steak didn't seem to be as good as I remember it. I used to order it much of the time I go to Longhorn. It was still good, mind you. And the mashed potatoes were excellent, flavorful. Of course, I would have been happy if I had actually gotten a refill in my drink. This experience wasn't as good as it usually has been. I hadn't been to Longhorn in a long while. I was really looking forward to a nice salad but this limp lettuce drenched in dressing thing is nowhere near a decent salad. Once you walk in your tell the host you have received a text they will confirm your name and you will be seated. We order the two outlaw ribeyes, both cooked medium with their smoke house mac and cheese. Let's start with the steaks first they were very flavorful and seasoned really well. Both steaks had a ALOT of fat on the them and were not cooked medium. Mine could have came out mooing it was cooked RARE is some spots I couldn't finish it all because of that. My wife's was Medium Rare not the way she ordered it but she enjoyed hers. Our smoke house Mac and Cheese was VERY disappointing to say the least no flavor at all no smoke and no bacon I don't even think they salted the water while cooking the noodles just bland and disappointing. this has happened many times to me and my family. they give us two sides with our meals so we get two sides and they only give us one. when we ask for our second meal (which we pay for) they don't say anything about it to us and get mad at us and say they're out. since it's happened so many times to us I gave them a call and asked if they had such side that day and if they're out and they say they check and say they have it. all I've experienced there is waiters that lie and make use of your money. never going again read more

So this place was pretty darn amazing. I busted Jonesboro on business but brought my mom and children along since it's summer break. Between a 9, 2, and 9 month old--things were a little silly. We had a really good waitress, Darella and the food was OMG amazing! STILL talking about how good that food was! The Parmesan Crusted Chicken is delicious. Their chicken fingers are good as well. The fried green tomatoes are yum. The salads with the butter croutons--to die for! We do have one in Little Rock, but it's so far from my home I never go. I travel here about every other week for business and keep going back to LH. Not sure why....guess I'm hoping they'd pull it together and be as good as the LH in NWA. I usually come about 6pm. Men's room a disaster. Water(pee?) all over the floor. Just what you want to track into your car and home. They NEVER have prime rib rare! Tried like 5 times! Or even medium rare for that matter. Was told even though people ask for it, management doesn't allow it rare. On a good note, Corey is a good bartender, even when they make him cover the bar and half the restaurant. Outlaw ribeye good second choice from the prime rib. And they get close to getting it how you order it. Bottom line, no competition allows this LH to be sloppy. I was totally underwhelmed with this visit to Longhorn. We have eaten here a number of times, but this is perhaps the last. When we checked in with the hostess, she had no silverware. She seated us and when the server came with hot bread/butter we asked for silverware. We were told it would be brought. My wife ended up going BACK to the hostess to get silverware. I tried going to the men's room to wash my hands to wash the smell of gasoline off them. No soap in the dispenser which begs the question, what do the male employees use to wash their hands after using the restroom? We informed TWO employees of the no soap situation. I ordered a cheeseburger and my wife ordered wings. Cheeseburger was OK. My wife requested all flats and was told they could not do that as the wings were pre-packed with a mix of flats and drummies. She also requested her wings be well done. The wings arrived, ALL DRUMMIES, NO FLATS!! What happened to the mix?! The wings were NOT well done and she only received flats after bringing the LACK of mix to the attention of the server. The wings were NOT well done and LOTS of fat on them. Tried washing my hands before leaving, STILL NO SOAP. Don't think I'll go back. Lackluster service, questionable cleanliness and mediocre food. read more

Continually let down by this place. Menu is small, which is understandable since its a steakhouse. I actually like the idea of keeping it simple, focusing on what you are good at, and doing it well over and over again. That's reliability that customers could respect. "COULD". That being said.... This place is a nightmare. The "final straw" was at my birthday dinner. I decided I would give them another shot mainly b/c I was craving a good steak. They forgot the appetizer and brought it out after the entree was served. The steak was lukewarm. the sweet potato looked like it had been run over by a truck. It was so pitiful I took a pic of it.
