This Steak-Out location is as great as all the locations! It's easy to get in and out at this location. When working onsite at Redstone Arsenal, this was the store to call for Steak-Out delivery! When I lived on this side of Huntsville, I enjoyed pick-up and delivery from this Steak-Out! I like that you get a free drink with each entree when you pick up at the store. Also, I like Steak-Out changes its menu, for example, they added a filet mignon option - Yum! Their gift cards are easy to order and have been great gifts for my brother who just LOVES their iced tea! My "go to" menu items are ribeyes, steak tips, two center cut pork chops (which is enough for two meals, easily), and their loaded baked potatoes are always delicious! Consistent is a great adjective for Steak-Out. Each of their five Madison County stores are entirely consistent! The staff are kind and hard working! I appreciate the meals they've provided when Redstone Arsenal was such a dire food wasteland! Steak-Out has provided team meeting meals for various places I've work on Redstone Arsenal. Steak Out is one of those Huntsville institutions that thankfully never went away (though their franchises elsewhere did, I believe). Is it gourmet? Well not really, though they can cook a pretty good steak. Is it super cheap? Well, compared to a steakhouse, yes. Is it quick? Absolutely. I like the steak tips or ribeye (no, you will never get them anything other than medium well or well done despite how you order them because they wrap them in foil, live with it). The steaks are always well seasoned and not dry. The baked potatoes are baked potatoes and good. The salads (really a few cherry tomatoes on top of an iceberg/carrot mix) are fresh enough. The roll is standard. Better half always gets a grilled chicken sandwich and loves it. They also have baked sweet potatoes, loaded baked potatoes, and other dishes but we're boring. If you do takeout, you can usually get a free drink. Otherwise, delivery is prompt. There's really nothing to complain about here. Absolutely horrible food from the Whitesburg south location. The steak was cold and overcooked, salad was wilted, rolls were cold, dried out and hard as rocks and the potato was cold and overcooked. I love Steak Out!! I grew up on it and love it as an adult. Now that I moved away from home, it's one of my favorite meals to eat when I come back. I always order it at least for one meal while I'm home. I love their concept and love how fast and easy the process to order food is. I have had a range of items from Steak Out such as the Steak Tip Dinner, the Grilled Chicken Dinner, the Ground Meat Patty Dinner (hamburger patty no fixings), Grilled Chicken Salad, and their Cheeseburger. All the "dinner" come with your choice of a potato (baked potato, loaded baked potato, or sweet potato), a side salad and a roll. I always get a loaded baked potato (butter, cheese, bacon, sour cream). One of my favorite meals is their cheeseburger. It's amazing!! The patty is thick but not overly thick and it's juicy. It's seasoned well and cooked to your beef temperature preference. I've also had their grilled chicken which is tasty. It's seasoned well, tender and juicy. Most recently I had their 6 oz. Steak Tip Dinner. It was very good. The steak was yummy and seasoned well. The cherry on top was the side salad and the baked potato. I love baked potatoes and salad. Overall, I love Steak Out and always have. Their food is tasty and I love the way the meals are paired together! I wish they had Steak Out in Ohio. read more

What is wrong with this place? We have ordered from Steak Out for decades. Only recently have we had such terrible service. Four out of five of our last orders were incorrect. I am tired of calling back to get it fixed. We have had a permanent hold on plasticware for over a year. This last order the person on the line said "no plasticware is that correct"? Yes, that is correct. Once again, we got plasticware. Never mind that one of the steak salads we ordered came without steak. Is that a regular potato or a sweet potato? Who knows, let's just toss something into the bag. This is just one order that was so screwed up. Multiple other orders have been similar. I can't even go into the brown/white material that is supposed to pass for salad. I certainly hope this franchise can improve. read more

10/12 at 11am Whitesburg location: ordered a 12oz RARE and some steak tips medium rare. Both were cooked in 10minutes and both were Very Very Well-Done! This is why I would never tip y'all in person. Steakout has been in Huntsville for years, and fills a void for those craving steak without having to go to a sit down restaurant. I generally order the large ribeye, which is a pretty good steak. I've learned over time to have them grill my steak one step lower than what I would order in a restaurant. So, to get medium rare when delivered, I always order rare. It works out perfectly. They have good hamburgers too, although they only allow you to order them well done - which is a bit much for me. I'd prefer medium or medium rare. The sides that come with dinner don't amount to much. The salad is WAY too small. The baked potatoes are good, but also on the small side. I wish they'd give you real butter instead of Shedd's Spread margarine. I throw it out and use my own butter and sour cream. Service is good and delivery times are reasonable. If you pick up your order they give you a large tea - that's a plus. read more

This is my most FAVORITE place to eat for lunch because they deliver AND the food is always delicious and freshly prepared. I live in an area of town that does not have one that delivers to my home, but they will meet at a local convenience store. I placed an order the other day and went to the meet up spot. Once I got there I was planning on putting air in my tire because I had a warning light on. Once we got the food we pulled in to the air pump(which is the meet up location). Rex gave us the food, we had small talk. My daughter got out to put the air in when Rex had gotten back in his car. She could not figure out how to get the debit card to work and Rex saw this. He was waiting on someone else to pick up food so he got out of his car and walked over with a portable air pump and proceeds to air up my tire! I was so grateful, because as he was doing this he told me that he had JUST gotten hit I. His car and the person drove off! He had been having a bad day, but took time out to help me! I order the Cobb Salad from here pretty regularly. The only reason I'm giving it a 4 and not 5 stars is because lately (last month) the salad has basically been a bowl of rinds with no real lettuce leaves in it. To me that isn't really a "salad" which is disappointing... I may not be ordering it anymore if it doesn't change.
