I called steam master carpet, cleaners, and made an appointment. The lady could not give me a quote over the phone so she said when the technician gets there he'll let me know what he thinks. I'm not sure. I understand how a company is in business for such a long time and can't give you a quote on a one bedroom apartment. How different our apartments? So he gets there and then they call me and say well if we don't have direct access and there's no water we can't do it and that's interesting to me that you would ask that when you get there instead of asking that when I booked the appointment. Luckily they could get access and there was a water supply. Anyways, the job that they did was good minus the fact that there were lots of puddles and wet spots that I had to clean up myself afterwards and for the price that was very disappointing. I got quoted almost $500 for a silly little one better apartment which is outrageous to me. I actually told the guy that I got a quote for $100 cheaper so he took $100 off and the fact that he was so quick to take that hundred dollars off tells me I was being gouged. There's no way that a deep cleaning for laminate floor and one carpeted bedroom without moving any furniture should cost that much money. Is it all clean, yes do I feel ripped off absolutely. I will not use this company again. I will look pulse where a floor cleaning like that should not be any more than a couple hundred dollars in such a small apartment. I was charged almost 400. They did an incredible job on my carpet upstairs, carpet looks new again and it's been a week or so and still no foul dog odors. My 3 year old doodle is PO'd I returned to work and unfortunately my teenagers "forget" to take the dog out and/or fail to see him snooping for goodies in the trash. They tried to upsell my carpet cleaning and sofa cleaning for 2600 I had someone else do it for 650 plus I tip the guy 200 was at my house for 5 hours and did a fabulous job. Yes, THIS company that has been in Costa Mesa since the 1970's and is family owned and operated. I had a HORRIBLE experience when I accidentally hired a cleaner that has a similar name (Orange County Steam Masters). After investigating, I found out that this isn't even a real carpet cleaning company! They are just a call center that sells leads to independent contractors! Turns out they only use this name for marketing purposes. They did a terrible job on my cleaning, it looked worse than before and they scratched my wood floors. I was furious! I left a 1 star review! However, I ACCIDENTALLY put the review on the wrong page! My apologies to "The Original" Steam Master. Please know... "The Original" Steam Master and "Orange County Steam Masters" are as different as night and day! I could go on and on but the bottom line is if you want a great job at a fair price, make sure you contact Greg and his staff at "The Original" Steam Master in Costa Mesa. I used Steam Master carpet cleaning today for the first time and I am in awe. In fact, I am so impressed with their work, I deleted other reviews for carpet cleaners in my area. They sent Noy to do the cleaning, and maybe I just got the luck of the draw, but what a wonderful job this guy did. I thought my carpet was done for, but it literally looks like it was just installed new. My wife couldn't believe it either. She was full ready to replace it altogether. Now it looks like we could get a few more years of life out of it. I now plan on having them out every 6 months and hope they can maintain the excellent work they do. So many times the business relationship starts off great, and then a business slacks off. Hope this is not the case, but I will keep you updated. Our dog wasn't feeling well and had an accident on a heavily textured rug with woven details, small and large loops, and different heights. We treated immediately and repeatedly with vinegar, baking soda, and enzyme spray, but the color wouldn't come out of the white loops. Try as I might, it was also impossible to get all of the debris out because of the way the rug is woven. I couldn't use my Bissell because any rubbing with the brushes would cause significant damage and feathering/fraying to the loops. Enter Steam Masters. Once again, they were able to rescue one of my rugs. I don't know what kind of magic technique they have, but they were somehow able to get the stains and debris out. It's clear they also got any smell out because neither of our dogs has shown any interest in marking at all. The price was incredibly reasonable and included both pickup and delivery. I am soooo happy with the results of my large shag area rug cleaning!! BEWARE to not confuse this family run business with Steamasters ( note the "s")!! I accidentally called the mobile van service thinking it was Steamaster. I had a very unfortunate experience with the mobile van service as they had no office, inexperienced cleaners and the company does not stand behind their work. After over-charging me, carpets under serviced ( pet odors were not removed as I had requested) and No phone call returned. Before the crew left I asked that they finish the work, and they said we did not pay for the extra service. I thought what extra service, Im only talking about the service I paid for. My carpet was cleaned well. I was informed by the cleane that if a spot resurfaced within the next few days, they would reclean it as part of the first cleaning service. I called about a section of my carpet that had a line in the carpet that resurfaced. I called every day for a week. I finally spoke to a woman who told me twice that they would reclean the line for a deep cleaning fee. Despite my explanation, she would not authorize a free reclean, so now I'm stuck with this unclean section of t carpet. I'm not satisfied with their service. read more
