BEWARE - horrible company. We live in Sky Crossing in Desert Ridge and hired Steamy concepts to come clean our carpets and steam clean our tile, several times over the last year. They treat their repeat customers terribly and will gouge you on pricing. My husband and I paid 320.00 today for one bedroom with pet treatment, 1 walk in closet and an area rug. In July, we paid 320.00 for same bedroom, closet and three area rugs. What I didn't realize until today, is every time they come they charge more than the previous time for same work. We only got the deal that the advertise, for the first time. I called the manager to discuss these issues, and they couldn't care less. Also today- they left our carpets soaked, something must have been wrong with the suction component on their equipment. read more

I have a daughter who is a paraplegic and lives independently in Cymarron apartments. She made an appointment for steamy concepts to clean her carpets. After her carpets were cleaned I visited and moved a chair over so it did not hit the wall when I sat down and was very upset to see how dirty the carpet was under the chair. My daughter informed me that the steamy concepts staff had said they don't move heavy furniture. This chair was not heavy and could've been easily moved and would have been a great service to a person with a disability who needed a hand. Steamy concepts does not appear to be the company you would request to clean your carpets if you had a disability or if you were elderly. I am hoping steamy concepts make this right. Update: 2/27 this company honored the money back guarantee for us which I appreciate. Do not use this company for grout cleaning! We hired them last week and paid 400 dollars to clean our tile floors and grout. The agent seemed to be working hard, but after he left and the grout dried it looked much worse than before! Especially in the great room, entry, and kitchen- the most important areas of the house. The back rooms looked better but it was as if he was not changing the water as he cleaned, so he was putting dirty water and chemicals on the grout. I was so sorry I had hired him because the grout had not been in bad shape before. Now I have to scrub the entire expanse again myself. Well I had water damage that started in August and is still going on. These people showed up apparently they work as a little group, so I asked if they were a ISAA preferred provider they said oh yes absolutely, then I heard them talking on the phone and said absolutely no work was to be done until it was cleared through USAA. They made appointments that were not kept, billed the insurance for things that were not done, damaged my water heater and then sent me a bill for $2400+ above deductible. That is when I found out they were not a USAA provider at all in fact they were called by Cool Willy plumbing not USAA. Then the renovation people also work with them. So I call and ask USAA why I am stuck with this bill they tell me it is a duplicate charge. I called them and they said they have every right to charge it, it is their cost to do business, what?!! I asked about my water heater they damaged and other questions concerning the bill. No answer just sent me another bill. I wasted my day getting ready to have my carpets cleaned and now they wait until the last minute to call to come to my house. Why not make it 8-5 and call at 4. Wasted the whole morning getting ready for nothing. Manager then calls and laughs and says they can be there in 25 minutes. So now I have to ruin the rest of my day waiting again. We had our carpets cleaned two days ago. Overall they did a good job. There were two very small dirt spots that they missed. Mistakes happen. In order to come back and correct their mistake they will charge an extra $30 and said we should have paid extra to have it cleaned adequately. Another review said they nickel and dime you. I called and asked if they move furniture and they said as long as it's not over 50lbs. I had a coffee table 40lbs and rug 45lbs. and they guy said he would not move it so my girlfriend had to. I called the office and complained and they said it's up to the discretion of the guy doing the work. That is total BULL! So that means regardless of the weight if you get a lazy tech who's going to do the work like the one I got then he can choose to move furnishing or not. This review is not based on the quality work they do. I never got my upholstery cleaned by them. I was given a 6 hour afternoon window of 12-6. I called them around 3:30 to see where I was at on the route (I was told I could do this by the employee that called me yesterday to confirm my appointment). I was told I was the 4th job of the afternoon and the tech was currently at the 3rd so I was his next stop. At 5 the tech called me to notify me that he had another job to do and would be unable to make it to me before 6. I called the main office to cancel as i had already spent all afternoon waiting. This is a late post: I called this company three weeks before actually needing my carpets cleaned, I was quoted 89$ for two rooms and a hallway. The lady who called me to schedule didn't mention anything about two different types of cleaning, she just sent me and invoice for the 89$. I called 3 days before to add a room on and they said they would send me a new invoice and guess what. . . I never received it. They came on Monday within the time frame they said 8-11, I was not at home at this point my Dad was there. The technicians told my Dad they had to do a deep cleaning and that was going to cost more. They said this was the only way to get the darker "deeper" stains out. I don't appreciate the up-sell at the last minute and I really don't appreciate the fact that they didn't explain any of this on the phone when I originally called. I should have done more research or asked more questions upfront. The guys did a really good job, YES, they did get out all the dark "deeper"stains out. I am pretty impressed. My Dad did mention to them that I was a Yelper haha and to do good or I'd blast them all over social media. Even though my carpets came out really clean, I'm not giving them a 5 due to lack of communication on the offices end, BAD costumer service. The cost went from $89 to $198. Of course I could have denied the "deep cleaning" up charge but then I would have had to reschedule and wait longer, and I was already on a time schedule. Recently we took in a stray German Shepard in for a week and god knows what it brought in, or left behind. We needed a carpet cleaner that could clean our carpets, and that was well respected in the community. This is where Steamy Concepts came through for our home. Paul came out and did a phenomenal job on our carpets and made them look damn near brand new. He was also very friendly and offered great customer service to my parents and their home. I moved to my first new home and there was mold. The seller of the home paid Steamy Concepts to find the mold and remediate it. The company found some, but not all. They cut up the drywall, repaired those leaks but would not replace the drywall they cut up as they wanted their sister company, Royalty Renovations (owned by brothers) to have me set up the drywall replacement THEY cut out and have that paid at MY expense. While repairing the leaks they broke one of my mirrored closet doors. They said they would compensate me for the one door, however, if you want to replace closet doors you have to buy the set (both doors) at a set price. You can't just buy one as I found that out in my research. To this day after over one month and at least 6 calls I have never received compensation to buy a new closet door, which costs about $340. As I had to pay another contractor to fix the drywall he found a lot more mold, which we both took photos of showing the mold. I called Steamy Concepts again and texted them the photos, but they still insisted their team of experts found no other mold. And I still had to pay another contractor to remediate the other mold plus replace the drywall, add texture to the wall and paint. If you had good service with this company then good for you. Every bad company needs to have at least some folks satisfied so they can boast of their good work, but I will never use them again and I've already spread the word in my network. Within minutes of my daughter posting the original review, which is below, I received a phone call from Bryant which lasted over an hour. He nit picked her review arguing every line. During the course of the call he demanded the review be changed. Out of exasperation I removed the review with the understanding, that after his vacation, he would uphold his promise of fixing the floor and providing samples of specialty cleaner for my type of floor. It's been over a week since he said he would be back and I have not heard a word. Because of the delays and shoddy work from Steamy Concepts there were other complications. We had to reschedule the movers twice as they were not done on the promised time, my daughter had to cancel her Christmas vacation to be present for the movers, and there were packages stolen on the property because I wasn't able to be present as the floors were not done, and they were supposed to be done well before the deliveries were scheduled to arrive. So along with bad service on the lower tier associate level there is bad service and broken promises from the upper tier. I would never use this company for any reason whatsoever. Below is the original review. My experience started problematic and got worse as it went. They had to redo their work multiple times because the initial attempts lead to the floors being worse than when they started. They were regularly late, rude, and dismissive of concerns brought to their attention. They came unprepared for the job initially, and underequipped to deal with changing circumstances as they worked, with their machinery breaking down, and no place to deal with their contaminated water. They left a chemical spill that someone else had to come by and clean on the weekend and regularly blared their music showing little concern for the people around them. They initially said to get the floor cleaned it had to be stripped, but after they stripped and sealed the floor things went wrong. They had to get a new sealer because the one they brought was not compatible with our floor type. In the end they used a buffer to remove the sealer they just put on which initially they said the buffer would not do the job and that the floor needed to be stripped in order to remove the sealer completely. Directly contradicting themselves. In total everything took nine days when it was originally slated to be a one day job. And I am left with a blotchy floor with streaks. Due to my experience this is not company I would ever use again nor could I recommend them to anyone else. read more

We did not appreciate the appointment system this company used for our appointment. We were moving that day and the day before, yet with their system, and we were exhausted, we had to wake up at 7 am in case they could have called us as early as 7:30 a.m. The appointment window was 8am-noon but the call could come 30 mins earlier we woke up at 7am and could only get a few short things done here and there while waiting because we had zero idea of when they would send Pablo to our job! It turned out he arrived at exactly 12 noon, so more than half our moving day was ruined! If the company had properly scheduled out their work schedule, our day would have been less stressful. I called to schedule the appointment after having used them twice before so my information was already in the system. The woman asked me if it was the same location- which it was and I confirmed with her that the price would be $49 for the online special and scheduled the appointment. First issue: The day of, they arrived without a water truck and couldn't clean the carpets. So they had to come back and we had to take another 3 hour time window away from work. When I asked about this inconvenience the woman on the phone said they had too many customers to know who needed a water truck and who didn't. Turns out that in a later debate about the price the woman (her name was Toni) read verbatim from the notes in which it said "water truck required". I caught this and she back peddled saying that there was still nothing she could do but apologize for the inconvenience. Second Issue, pricing: My condo is a total of 469 sf. This includes a 140 sf tiled kitchen & the 36 sf tiled bath that would not be needing cleaning. This comes down to 263sf of carpeted area (not to mention the bedroom is essentially covered by the bed). The way it is designed they classified it as two rooms and a hall (which according to the website should add up to $64 at the most). They charged me $75. I told her I had been quoted $49 on the phone, she confirmed that it did say that in the notes but then said they had a $75 minimum to do a house call. I'm sorry- but how ELSE would I get wall to wall carpet cleaned by your company if it WASN'T a house call?! If there is a minimum you state that upfront. PERIOD. Not to mention that you shouldn't post a special on your website that you couldn't actually deliver on! The special is 2 rooms for $49 (which is what I had booked for). If you don't do house calls under $75- why are you advertising this? The minimum is not listed on their website as of today still (I just double checked). She claimed she was going to listen to the recorded phone call of me making the original appointment and call me back. She called me back about 20 min later and decided that she would charge me $64. I asked why, if she had listened to the call, was she still charging me more than I was quoted. She said that she hadn't yet had time to listen to the call but someone in the office, who was not the one who cleaned my unit, "knew" the layout of the condos in our complex and since the bedroom was around a corner it should be charged as a hallway. Curious- how do they "remember" the layout and not that they need a water tank to clean it? Bottom line: Avoid them. read more

After 5 minutes crawling through a phone tree and being on hold, I got a person, who put me on hold, ostensibly to transfer me to the person who handles residential cleaning. Twenty minutes later, I hung up and looked up someone on Yelp.com, who might be closer or more, o perhaps, interested in their customers. 20 minutes on hold is NOT the same as actually being open 24/7. I am shocked, absolutely shocked, at the previous reviews for this place! It was only $50 to have three of our area rugs cleaned, which already puts my rating of Steamy Concepts pretty high. What I also loved was that they were able to come the morning after I called for an appointment in a season I would suspect them to be very busy (July). They also were able to clean some serious stains from unknown sources and made our carpet look brand new. These rugs were unrecognizable after the hour the cleaner spent with them! They also clean furniture (e.g., couches), and I will definitely be calling them for that service soon! read more

I tried to schedule Steamy for my job to clean the carpets. I was going to go with them because they were the first people to come out and measure to quote before working. The rep was very friendly, showed up on time, and was quick to give me all the info I needed. About a week later I agreed to the quote and we set up a date for them to come in and do the job. On the day that I made the appointment, I still had not received a confirmation on the appointment and called the rep that quoted me, no answer. I called Steamy directly and he told me the appointment was never scheduled. He told me that the rep would be in contact and asked me to set up another appointment but that I would get a new quote for the inconvenience. The new appointment day came and the ONLY call I got from Steamy was from the cleaners saying they were on their way. I told them not to come as I was not contacted about a new quote. They said they would get it figured out and contact me. It has now been a week and nothing. I was able to get the job done through another company but I am very disappointed. read more

Had them here originally for just cleaning a sofa and love seat. They did an AMAZING job on that! My furniture looks fresh and new looking..love it!! Have had these for 7 yrs NEVER cleaned in all that time (my bad). VERY pleased with that job. THEN they said they could clean my, off white semi shag, area rug which I was just going to throw out as I thought it was a lost cause! HOLY COW! I said ok go ahead HA! NO NEW RUG! So we had Steamy Concepts come out to clean our tile and carpets. They did a descent job on the tile but the carpets weren't up to our expectations. We also noticed that they dumped the liquids from the clean up down our kitchen sink this causing our sink to be stopped up. I had to call a plumber to have it snaked out. $200 down the drain. No pun intended! Daniel the manager said he would send his field manager out to redo our job and though we think it looks better we didn't appreciate the comments John made. He said that "if we cleaned every carpet like this we would have to charge more!" What??? I was speechless! I'm in customer service and I would never leave my customer feeling this way. I don't even know where to start!! I wouldn't even vote this company a 1 star, that's how horrible they are!! So we were in the process of moving and had the house empty and needed to have the carpets shampooed in order to put the house on the market. We called Steamy Concepts to get a quote to do 4 bedroom house. We had used them once prior and the total bill was around $300.00. So we set up a day and time for the quote which was set for 05/19/2022. 2 men showed up (we weren't here but my neighbor is in charge of everything to get the house ready to sell) and got to work on the estimate. The one guy calls my husband and tells him that the estimate is $1200+. My husband tells him no and gets off the phone. The guy calls my husband back and says "ok, we will do it for $700". My husband again tells him no and hangs up. The guy called him AGAIN!!! He says "ok this is the final bid, I can do it for $536.00 out the door. My husband again tells him no and to leave the house. He wouldn't leave. I called my neighbor and asked her to go over there and get them out of my house. She goes over there and the one guy thought she was the owner and was very nice to her until he found out she was the neighbor and not the homeowner. When he found that out he called her every name in the book!! He told her I don't know who the f*** you think you are coming over here telling me to leave a house that doesn't even belong to you. He threw the F bomb like nothing I've heard before. Called her a f***en Bit*h and told her to leave the property. This lady was taking care of MY HOUSE and when she went over there, they should have left when asked!! They wouldn't put the key back in the contractors box and told my neighbor to do it. I was on the phone with the neighbor the whole time and the one guy wouldn't stop berating her. She would start to ask a question and again the one guy would go off again, cut her off, scream at her. This is NOT what my neighbor signed up for. All she did was go over there and ask them to leave and got treated like that!! Funny how the bid started off $1200 and ended at $500. Kinda makes you think what they were planning to do with the extra over the $500. Pocket it?!? My neighbor called around and found Jason at Tucson Eco Clean. He came out on his day off and cleaned all the carpet in my house for a great price!! I highly recommend Jason!! Will NEVER use steamy Concepts again and I WILL NEVER recommend them to anyone, EVER!!! Maybe Steamy Concepts should hire adults and not young kids that think they know everything!!
