It is not allowed to wash my rv or windows caused by the trees. You cannot have anyone visit longer than a week. They have raised the rent 20% in a year and half and threatening on raising it again because of increased electric usage. I would highly recommend passing this place up, unless you like taking showers in water.

But I still gave a 5 star because it gave a spot to stop and we had hook ups. If your looking for a beautiful view this probably isn't the place, also no fire pits so no fires. If we were to stay more than a day I'd move on but again for just a night getting some sleep it worked. Also seems like regulars stay there... Like perhaps live there? Not sure but we had zero troubles and slept great.

It's not really a far drive out (approximately just 2 hrs) but the rough road which started I think at Ola, Idaho made it long (about an hour; pls note we are pulling a trailer). Beautiful campground with a thick forest & wide lake! They have great bike trail/hiking trail along the river, not paved but it's an easy one that our 10 year old can follow! We also explored the oh so green forest! We did kayak in the river & swam. The lake is clean, several beach spots but not sandy, just muddy. Boats can only have a speed limit of 15mh, I think the river is just meant for a fishing boats, kayaks or paddle boards though there was a boat there that drove more than 15 mph. They have few camp sites so you need to reserve months in advance, husband did in February. No cell service & no internet/wifi was a plus, I think camping is meant to be like that, we disconnect to connect! No electricity, water & sewer hook ups, but we only stayed for 3 days & 2 nights that we were able to exhaust our water just right & filled our sewer just right. Overall a great camp out! We will definitely visit again!

The grounds/campsites are…read morenothing fancy, lots of dirt, gravel and stickers and our site was a "river front" site but not really. No shade at all, wish we were in one that had some. It was kind of near the river/launch ramp. Not much of a view. I think this location of the snake river just isn't all that nice. A lot of brown yuck and lots of flies and gnats. Had to be careful to keep our mouths closed! When I went to use the bathroom, the light wouldn't work! I tried a couple different switches (they're outside) nothing! So I had to leave the door wide open for the natural light to come in. I don't get it? Why not have a light switch inside the bathroom? Anyway definitely clean - very outdated. The camp host was nice, she saw us come in and kind of chased us down on her little golf cart and actually came around my husband's blind side and he almost ran her over! We were a little confused by the way she snuck up on us. I'm not sure if I would recommend coming here ? Definitely not an "Oasis on the Snake" Of all the RV parks that we have been to on our 2 Week road trip, this was by far our least favorite.

Copperfield campground has been our spot for many years. We have noticed over the last few years…read moreand just during out recent stay, that large groups come and they are very loud and the kids run all over. There were groups of kids running and yelling through our camp spot. About 20 adults gathered by a campfire near us and about 10 kids ran wild, yelling and etc. They took over the area and had no respect for other campers. The evening before this happened a group of about 30 rafters came in and surrounded us and were loud. It seems like the big groups have taken over and they do not respect others. Copperfield is no longer the peaceful place that you can just sit in your campspot and enjoy visiting or walking around. Getting hit by kids on scooters and etc is a worry. There is a sign that says no scooters on the walk up to the restroom but kids use this to ride their bikes, scooters you name it. The host drives by and sees and hears it all but doesn't do anything about it. It says quiet time is at 11 pm, but that's a long time to wait for a little peace and quiet and courtesy from others. Sorry for the bad review, it's just very disappointing.

This place is big to get some dog walking in. There is a Maverick gas station across the street with the best diesel price that we found. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The only negative is you do hear loud traffic due to a major road if your up by the office. It is close to the highway, which makes it easy for exiting and entering.

This park has a FANTASTIC visitor center! I mean it's not packed with tons of info but it's got a solid little bit, nice folks, a good little gift shop, clean bathrooms, what more could you want? There are so many trails with an abundance of options for difficulty, or even just driving through was tranquil. We saw a huge variety of birds, wildlife, flowers, and just incredible views. It's worth a visit, take a day and explore, we went in late June and saw many adorable fawns and deer!

Oh man, oh man, oh man--all of the heart eyes! (Not the easiest thing in the world to get to, but…read morelike a hidden treasure, once you find it, the hunt is so worth it!) How to get there(ish): 1. Head up ID 55 like you're going towards McCall 2. Hang a right on Banks Lowman Highway 3. Drive for 28 miles and then you'll see Pine Flats Campground on the right 4. (Now getting to the hot springs is a bit tricky. Side note: I definitely would NOT recommend attempting this in snowy weather, that just would not be smart or safe.) Anyways, you're going to take a trail that runs sort of by the river and is towards the rightmost part of the campground. You'll walk for what I assume to be a quarter mile, and then voila! You'll arrive at a beach along the river with massive boulders and pools stacked against the hillside (this is all natural by the way)! The Campground: Parking is $5/day, and I am not sure about the cost of overnight camping as we only made a day trip here. They have one bathroom here, and, well, it's totally a public park bathroom. The Views: We went on an October weekend, so we had a view that combined all things beautiful that Idaho has to offer in one--snow on mountains in the distance, lush green hills, stunning fall foliage, a rushing river running along the hot springs, and clean mountain air. The Hot Springs: A good amount of the pools of water were warm and I would only recommend sitting in them if the weather is above 80 degrees, or else you'll get chilly real quick. But for the most part, they were toasty, especially if you sat underneath the ones with waterfalls--those will heat you right up! Pro Tip(s): 1. Make sure you have more than enough gas in your car--you're out of service up here and out of luck if you run out of gas. 2. Bring a big water bottle! Sitting in hot water will dehydrate ya real quick.

When you arrive it can be a little confusing but don't be overwhelmed with the long walking trail! Overall our experience for first timers was great. We did have to walk a little and if your a first timer also like us you may want to be ready with some hiking shoes, warm clothes/swimming clothes if your using the hot springs and a happy motivation(: The hot springs pool overall is pretty smaller then expected but good maybe for couples if you need a nice date idea. The temperature is perfect if you land in the right spot. (Lower ones are better) would we do this again ? 10/10 yes.

Hells Canyon Reservoir runs from Copperfield Oregon up north along the Snake River/Hells Canyon all…read morethe way up to the dam. It's a long, fairly narrow reservoir that sits in a steep, picturesque canyon. You can access it from both the Oregon and Idaho sides, with numerous areas for camping and boat launch on both sides. This river reservoir is nestled in a hot, dry climate and offers an emerald-hued escape from the oppressive heat. We visited on a day that crested well over 100 heatwave) and, well, that's pretty much perfect for enjoying the cool water. There are a ton of trailheads along the reservoir if you want to hike up to the canyon rim, and definitely tons of lakefront to stretch out on. Aside from the established campgrounds there are a bunch of pullouts on Hells Canyon Road suitable for car camping. This is definitely a locals spot, and not really a destination. I think Wallowa Lake is more for the Portland tourists. But that said, it's easy to see how this is a really popular spot for party boats, water skiing, and simple lake-style recreation.
