Ironically, it was all the glowing reviews that brought me in, so this was very concerning. Dr. Abtin Shahriari was my dentist. The equipment did not appear clean--utensils looked used, and there was visible gunk in the tubing that should be sterilized for each patient. While filling out paperwork, I overheard staff gossiping about patients and even joking about mistreating ones they didn't like. That level of unprofessionalism was disturbing. I will never return, and I highly recommend others steer clear of this place.

I had the gum procedure + got new crowns for my front top teeth here at Confident. I was kinda nervous to go through with the appointment, but everything just went so smooth- from the front office, easy appointment/financial strategy with the friendliest office Manager Lea, great consultation up until the day of my procedure. Here's the thing... I've been ignoring the fact that my front teeth needed to be fixed bad due to a bad dentist's experience. Yes, sometime my bad teeth would make me loose my confident when I talked to people. But, I was scared to go back to any dentist (plus to think on how hurt it could be, because my teeth AND gum needed some work done). Until one day, I had to take my kids for their dentist appt and met with Dr. Cesar who have so much passion on what he does. Never once I felt like he pressured me that I "should" do this or that for my kids' teeth, but he suggested some thing and helped us planning it out. He was very friendly, gentle and patience with my kids especially with my autistic son Colin. He did not want to stay in the chair, but somehow Dr. Cesar and his team helped to calm him down and stayed there. I just knew that I wanted him to be our family's dentist, and to look over my teeth. :) Well, I'm glad he did! After my procedure, I feel more confident when I talk to people and can't stop smiling big now. Big thanks to Dr. Cesar and his awesome team!! Unfortunately, that was not my experience. The way my pain and concerns were handled was extremely upsetting. I felt that my pain was not taken seriously, and I did not feel that the practice genuinely cared about my well-being after such a significant financial investment. As a Spanish-speaking patient, I also felt that I was treated differently and with less respect because of my language and background. I felt discriminated against as a Hispanic/Spanish-speaking patient, which made an already difficult experience even worse. When a patient spends more than $16,000 on dental treatment, they should be able to expect quality care, proper communication, compassion, and respect--not to feel ignored when they are experiencing pain. I would strongly encourage anyone considering extensive treatment here to ask detailed questions, get everything in writing, and consider getting a second opinion before spending a significant amount of money. This review reflects my personal experience and how I was treated as a patient. I sincerely hope the practice takes these concerns seriously and improves the way it treats patients who are in pain and those who speak Spanish.

I received a coupon in the mail from the Center for Cosmetic and Sedation Dentistry. It offered an…read moreexam with X-rays for new patients for only $49, a "$431 savings!". During the exam it was determined that I needed some work which was performed during the appointment. Upon completion, I was presented a bill that included a large co-pay ($192) and a large bill ($482) for the work done, but no deduction for the $49 coupon. My insurer claimed that I shouldn't have had to pay the co-pay and I should request an refund. The insurer said they would also be sending me a check to refund any money I paid in excess. For some reason, the insurer's accounting group mailed the check to the dentist instead of me. I contacted this dentist for a refund of my co-pay and also the money mistakenly sent to them by my insurer. I received a check for $74 and was told that was all I was going to receive. They didn't refund my co-pay. They didn't refund the $500 mistakenly sent them by the insurer. It's still unresolved. So, beware the $49 coupon... It's cost me a lot more than it saved me...
