Called this office today on a referral from my Dentist.. had a conversation about my Insurance .. apparently Etna is not within their network... I have another insurance starting end of this month ok so let' me ask if I'm covered on that one and I'll book an appointment for when that one kicks in telling me it cost $1600.00 out of pocket because I'm not covered with Etna as they don't have em ... Michelle on that end on the phone was extremely rude ... cut me off shouting at me .... ( LET ME FINISH) hollering at me my aunt was next to me Ans was on speaker so couldn't be disrespectful in my response... Omg just NO ... even if I'm within network I will not be comfortable here ... Michelle shouldn't be in the workforce which deals with customer service.. from one conversation I'm sure this is a place I would not have any service done .. am sure my dentist sent me to a great doctor there ... but I'm not risking my health and safety with someone so harsh in that building.. So grateful for Dr. Johnson and his staff. I had a root canal done by him today, and having had several dental procedures done, this was genuinely the easiest, best root canal I've ever had done. I know that might not be saying much, given that it is a root canal after all and by no means wonderful, BUT it means a lot as to how well I was taken care of. They definitely mislead you as though the insurance will pay for everything and make you pay upfront, although they are not in network with any insurance. Very dishonest practice. Dr.Johnson and his staff were wonderful! I called to make an appointment and they were able to see me on the same day. I went in for a consult and left an hour later, pain free after having a small procedure. It was a great experience. Dr.Johnson was very thorough with his exam. No one is better! Without a doubt, I would never have been able to get through all of this without the Compassionate Care of Doctor Johnson and his staff. He is incredibly skilled and knows how to handle very anxious people like me. He is very warm and personal. People sometimes say that " I'd rather have a root canal then..." some awful thing. But when you are in horrible pain because you need a root canal, it is a huge relief to get numbed and get that root canal for what takes the pain away forever. You will not feel a thing once you're anesthetized. There is no better endodontic practice in the area. You cannot go wrong placing yourself and your mouth in their hands. I've had the unfortunate opportunity to have to see Dr. Johnson twice, but glad it was him and no one else. He and his staff are so accommodating and helpful. Last time I had to see him was a couple weeks ago, and if it wasn't for everyone's help I wouldn't have made it through the weekend. I don't know what the big deal is about getting a root canal; all I know is Dr. Johnson makes it so easy and painless. I came to Dr. Johnson's office in fear and left with a smile. The front office staff was so nice and helped me understand all my questions about insurance. The office has a nice environment and feels like home. The assistants are very knowledgeable and answered some of the questions I had about the procedure. I came in contact with almost everyone in the office and they are all so very nice. During the procedure I got to listen to the TV as well as Dr. Johnson's play by play, no surprises. No pain other than the initial injections to get numb. Dr. Johnson is so nice and kind, great bedside manner. I would recommend this place to my own mother! Each of my visits to Dr Johnson's office for a root canal were the very best they could be. Even though my first visit was at the urgent request of my dentist, I was treated with excellent care. My root canal itself was completely without pain during and after the procedure. I don't have the technical expertise to write about all the equipment used for my root canal, but I can say that it was awesome. He is the best at root canals. He has done six for me. HOWEVER, last time, he cut my pain med in half. When I insisted that was insufficient, he told me to take two at a time. That gave me five doses. The second night I was out of meds and in agony. Had to leave a dance lesson I paid $140.00 for, go to the ER for hundreds of dollars and six hours time. He has no night emergency phone number and did not return my phone message, ever. I think he owes me a partial refund. If he is not giving me the full pain prescription, what is he doing with the rest of it? read more

Called to make an appointment to get my tooth checked out. Was referred by my dentist to figure out what was going on. Would I need a root canal or not. Upon talking with the receptionist she told me that she would schedule me for surgery. You want to schedule me for surgery without ever seeing my teeth. I'm sorry but this makes absolutely no sense to me. Was told this is the way the Dr. likes to do it. She told me since I was referred I probably need a root canal. How do they know? My own dentist didn't even know which is why I was referred. So my question is....If I made the appointment for surgery and I didn't need it would I have been given a root canal anyway. I have serious fears with dentists and I was put at ease as soon as I sat in the chair. They take great care in making you feel comfortable. Dr. Johnson talks in such a calming tone that it settles you immediately and the technicians assure you that you will love them by the time you leave.. they were right. The root canal was my first and was painless. I watched the ceiling mounted TV with headphones on during the whole procedure which helped my nerves tremendously. Nothing like watching Rachel Ray cook during a root canal. I hope to not be visiting them again but if needed, I will return here in a heartbeat. read more

I have been terrified of the dentist for the longest time. When my dentist told me that I needed to get a root canal, I had flashbacks from the last time I got one done and how miserable it was. I went to Dr. Johnson yesterday for a root canal and holy moly was this experience different. The office itself has a very calming effect and the front staff was so efficient and kind. Dr. Johnson helped lessen my anxiety a little bit by explaining the procedure and being very gentle when examining my tooth, but years of being terrified was obviously going to take longer than just that. During the procedure, I felt absolutely nothing, thank God. That has not always happened in the past. And, he was so fast, when the procedure was over, I was very surprised. He was very efficient and he did an amazing job. It's the next day and I'm not in as much pain as I have been in the past. I'm pretty sure this is my first review on anything, so that has to tell you how amazing his service was for me to be compelled to review it. I never ever thought I would leave a dentist's office feeling better than when I walked out, but I did. My father had a root canal inappropriately done by a general dentist, Dr. Johnson took my father in as early as possible and was kind, compassionate and professional. I had a 2:30 SCHEDULED appt time and finally at 3:45, I left. Never did anyone come in and check on me or apologize for running behind. I understand things happen but don't just ignore people.
