Ate here twice. Food was ok, not bad, not great. Pricing is very reasonable. Service was great one visit and not so great the other. Atmosphere is pretty cool and a band was playing both times. Could use some more TV's for viewing sports. I will definitely go back but only if I am already at the Steel Stacks, I would not make a special trip just for this place, but I would not hesitate to eat here again. With a little work this could be a 4 star establishment. read more

Came here for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. Very quiet. Service was great but then again we were the only ones there at first. Food was good. Try the boardwalk fries - enough cheese for all the fries unlike other places where you get a little cheese for the top fries. read more

Nice atmosphere, service was decent, especially during the FIFA game between USA and Portugal, lots of people in the area. The food wasn't bad, the only advice that I can give them- chop the lettuce that goes on the Nachos, full leaves make it an un-enjoyable appetizer to eat. The grilled chicken sandwich was a decent size piece of chicken, but don't put it on a roll that is 3/4 bigger then the breast. That's my only issue with the place. Boy talk about disorganized and a staff being overmatched. People are cancelling food orders because the kitchen can't process orders. Not a good business model. I must say though the bartender is trying her best but she is the only bartender on a very busy night and she continually has to leave the bar to help out elsewhere. read more

Last time we came here was last September and service and food were so bad, we vowed never again. However, we were hungry after hockey and our friends were in a rush, so we decided to give it another chance. We sat down and waited 10 minutes and no one ever came to give us menus or say hello or anything. We finally got up to leave and a waitress noticed and said she'd be by in a couple minutes. This was my first and last time I will have food at this restaurant. My friends ordered the sliders with sweet potato fries and I ordered a burger. There was mold on several of the slider rolls. My burger, for all its hype was just ok. Tasted like it had been frozen. The sweet potato fries came out after we had started eating and were way over cooked. They took the sliders off the bill and the waitress was apologetic but no manager came out to talk to us at all. Only reason I gave a 2 was because the two gals that served us did nothing wrong. read more

I purchased a Groupon for the Steel Pub that got us one appetizer and two sandwiches for $12. Maybe I had this place too built up, but I found the food disappointing. The loaded fries were good, but my burger was quite obviously from the freezer and oddly seasoned. I don't waste food, but I have no desire to finish eating my leftover burger. The place was very clean, but also very cold (maybe due to the ice rink)? Either way, bring a jacket. Our service was good. If I go back, it would just be for a drink, not to eat. read more

Came here before a concert at the Steel Stacks. Arrived around 5pm, the place looked busy but there was seating. My first negative impression is when you walk in there really isn't any designation of seating yourself or if someone is supposed to seat you at certain tables. We picked a table on the patio and waited.... for 15 minutes before a waitress brought us menus. She dropped the menus off and said she would be right back, apparently right back is another 15 minutes later. When she returned she did warn us that the kitchen was backed up and it would take a while, we said that would be okay since our concert didn't start for another 1.5 hours. We were checked on again an hour later. We asked about the status of our food, the reply "They don't know how long". It has now been 1.5 hours since we ordered and still no food, but three tables that ordered quite a while after us have received their food. And we will now be late to the concert, and unfortunately we couldn't go without eating or we would have left. This establishment really needs to work on their staffing problem. They are obviously short staffed based on the fact that there seems to be only one waitress for the whole patio and the fact that tables are not getting cleared off. They also should be aware and prepared for concerts. read more

We went here on a Friday evening around 8:30 for dinner. It was crowded, but not cramped or loud. We got the only open table; outside, which was nice. Our server was sharp, cute and quick. Our appetizers and main course (burgers...hard to call a "main course") were timed appropriately. Their menu is typical bar fare and we liked each thing we ordered. BONUS: there was a $3 Sam Adams special! It seems like the kind of place that run a beer special each night. It's no epicurean delight, but the food was yummy, atmosphere fun and beer a-flowing. My wife and I are self-proclaimed regulars here. since warmer weather has approached, we spend many weekend afternoons on the patio here. The food is great, I'm a big fan of all the different burgers (I love that the beef and pork are from local farms), my wife likes the salads (you won't find the dreaded iceberg lettuce here) and mahi mahi wrap. The draft beer selection is small, but there are always at least 2 crafts on, and the bottled beer selection is extensive and wonderful. There is always a draft beer special. Service is always on par. We usually have the same server, a blonde girl, who always makes us feel right at home. She sees us coming and has our usual beers ready for us! and is always attentive and friendly and knowledgeable regarding the menu. I highly recommend the steel pub, for the food, drinks, service and atmosphere. read more

I'm not usually one to write reviews but after our experience tonight I couldn't stop myself. It was awful! Actually it was worse then that. Our "server" had to be one of the worst. After seated she finally came over to take a drink order. She finally returned a good 15 mins later. A few tables started to fill in(maybe 3) we waited an additional 35-40 mins for her to come back. At this point we watched her stop to sit on some guys lap 3 times take another tables order who came after us and had people from our party head to the bar to get there own drinks. After she still hasn't returned I decided to go to the bar to try and get our check. We had had enough. The bartender who was super kind asked her our table number to try and help. The "server" threw her hands up pointing to our area still not helping with getting our check. Walked past me with a pitcher of beer for about her table. The bartender figured it out and handed it to me. Walking back to the table the server chick asked "did ya get it"? Are you kidding me? Girl you don't even get your job. The manager came over after we were told he was cooking and apologized for being short staffed. Took care of our bill. Yeah that was nice to take care of the round a drinks we were able to get. How about you try not even surging food if you have some that awful as your wait staff. Not only was it a terrible experience but you also wasted 2 hours of our night out with family that was here from out of town. Hoping you guys turn things around. I know I won't be returning anytime soon! read more
