Great "locals" bar. Our bartender Donna was super nice! She was very attentive and welcoming. We loved the ambiance of the bar. We like it on the darker and quiet side, so this bar was definitely for us. We asked for what was recommended from the menu, and I got a regular cheeseburger and my husband and bro each got breaded chicken sandwiches. My husband also got the chili. Everything was made fresh. The worst cheese steak I've ever had. It looked like grounded up hamburger. In fairness, it didn't taste bad, it just didn't resemble a cheese steak. My wife had a chicken sandwich but the small piece of chicken was lost in the large brioche bun. Won't be returning. read more

We have stopped here a few times. It's really worth the trip! Tonight we had the vegetable soup, burger special, chicken wontons and loaded tots. Soup was very good and the rest came out pretty quick for how busy they were. Service was great, we didn't wait at all for drinks. Love that you can play the Boombah's!! My friends and I came here after having no luck at a hoity-toity bar/ restaurant a few miles up the road. Boy, were were happy we came in here instead! The atmosphere was great, the bartender was friendly, the drinks were good, everything was affordable, the music was perfect, and we could barely pry ourselves away! My company sealed the deal. Can I give them 6 stars? Talk about a dive bar that has character and is CLEAN!!! Regulars started pouring in at 3pm and the bartender (Donna) knew everyone by name and what they were drinking. She was so polite and friendly. The inside has a wrap around bar and then a smaller area with tables and a place for a live bad. They always have specials. The pierogi's were sautéed with chopped onions with tons of flavor. They melted in my mouth and were nice and tender. This will be a my go to bar when I visit again. read more

WOW! I am forced to select at least 1 star in order to post this review, but this place shouldn't get ANY! We decided to go there for a quick bite; wanting to try something new. We walked in the door and weren't sure where to go, so we asked the bartender If we should seat ourselves. She said sit wherever. The tables appeared to be pushed around and not organized. Also, no place settings or condiments on any of them. After seating ourselves we waited for about 10 minutes. The bar had several patrons and the table area had 2 couples at 2 different tables. At least 1 couple were eating. We waited patiently for at least 10 minutes and no one came by with anything! Not even a hello or any greeting! At this point we decided to leave and they seemed not to care. FINE! I'll take my money to the Fogelsville Hotel which welcomed me with a greeting and a smile! We briefly told them our story at the Fogelsville Hotel, and they commented that we had too many teeth to be accepted at Leather Corner Post. As you can see, I will never go here again and I'm sorry I wasted 10 minutes of my time to be blatantly disrespected. read more

My family and I used to be regulars here so it pains me to write this. LCP has steadily gone down hill over the past few years. After our dinner from hell tonight, we won't be returning. The service was incredibly slow and inefficient. The food that was delivered was poorly timed, with some of our party's entrees arriving more than an hour before the others. The waitress completely forgot to deliver the rest of our food, which we assume was waiting under the warmers. Keep in mind, it was clam night. So after (literally) hours of waiting, the four dozen clams that arrived at our table came completely cold and shriveled up. So cold in fact, that the butter to dip them in had resolidified. There was no apology or offer to make things right. To top it all off, we were overcharged more than $80 on our bill. We noticed it didn't look right and went into the bar to have the bill rectified. The bartender apologized for "adding an extra beer on there." After waiting another 10 minutes to have the receipt fixed, we were finally able to pay and leave. So long story short: bad service, cold food, sub par food, and inability to take responsibility for their shortcomings. If you choose to disregard this review and still go to LCP, sit at the bar and only drink beer. Good riddance. read more

Such a cool little place! The ambiance and crowd is as much part of what makes this place homey and great as the warm staff and delicious food. Never had a bad meal, service, or drink at the LCP. You feel like family when you're here especially if Donna is taking care of you. read more

Great place to hang out especially when bands are playing. Drinks are slightly on the high side but the service is pretty good. Food is pretty good as well. The outdoor bar is also a great place to hangout for some pool or have a round of horse shoes. read more

Your good ol fashioned local bar. The staff is wonderful, the food amazing. (Get the wings) and the atmosphere is over the top fun. A great place to see a band and to unwind. The front bar crowd is a little older (40s-60s) but these people know how to party. The back bar w the pool table is a younger crowd, early Twentys. read more

Having been a regular, but no more, I find the management has serious issues. If you have a choice I'd give my hard earned money to a place that actually likes their customers. While talking to a patron from across the bar I was asked to be quiet by the bar tender. Apparently someone made a complaint I was too loud, really? Its a bar for god sakes! And apparently the manager, who knows us well, was afraid to ask me? I don't feel like being treated like a child. Now I can't fault any of the workers there, they work hard, and are nice. I have been enjoying the food, drinks and entertainment for many years at LCP. However, after the last few times I have been there for dinner and charged for more drinks then I had and was also charged twice on my card for a dinner. When the issues were brought up to be corrected no one was helpful and they told me to call back when a manger was on. Many messages were left and a call back was promised and never happened. Long story short the issues were never resolved and I will not be going back. I give warning to anyone who goes keep track of what you are charged for. read more

The one 2-star post cracks me up! Don't change things? Constant new owners? It's been the same owner for the past 8 years. Maybe people who complain about CHANGE should go to their "favorite" watering holes a little more often than once in almost a decade. Fancy menu? Where does this person typically eat...that makes LCP's menu "fancy"??? It's a decent, yummy menu. Personally, I love that a small town bar can include some fresh home made items on their menu instead of "everything out of a fryer" no option-options! Big shot new manager to turn the place around? LCP didn't need "turning around"!!! It's a fun place, always busy...and now there are a few new menu items that make people like me want to save room for dinner! Anyway, all in all a fun place to hang out... I had their Corn Beef Sandwich on St. Pattys Day--- it's was so fall-apart, melt in your mouth delicious! I grew up going to this place, and it has changed owners countless times. Every new owner always kept it going, not changing things. You can't change things so drastically when people have been going there LONG before you owned it. The last thing we need is another trendy bar in the area, and that is exactly what Al is trying to turn it into. The one thing this place is known for is boom-ba's (don't ask if you don't know) and CLAM BAKES. The boom-ba's are still there to my knowledge, but they got rid of the clam bakes. ARE YOU SERIOUS???? They got a fancy new menu, and just decided to omit them all together. It's a shame, because they really were the best. The waitresses agree with me on this one, and told me to come on to Yelp to express my concerns. Apparently they got a new big shot manager to try to turn the place into a hang out for younger people, and totally destroyed the integrity of the place. Nothing against young people, because I myself am in my early 20's, but this bar was built on tradition. Stop trying to fix something that isn't broke! read more
