I know that we've all been there. You're sitting at home watching TV. You see a commercial showing perfect model bodies prancing around the beach. You look down at your ever-growing gut, curse YELP for all the excellent foodie recommendations, tap your belly and say, "We need to break up. It's not me, it's you." With new-found motivation, you head off to the nearest 24 hour fitness or some other swanky facility. You park car, peak inside and see nothing but glistening bodies working on torturous machines. You enter and get some half-assed greeting from the tanned receptionist. She stares at you and somehow makes you feel like she knows about that everything bagel with cream cheese that you chowed on for breakfast. One hour and HUNDREDS of dollars later, you are locked into a ridiculous contract for 2-3 years. In spite of your hefty investment, you get little help and virtually no motivation. This spot has outdoor training during covid. They are inconsiderate about the community around them and decide to shout and blast music at 6 in the morning disturbing the families sleeping in the apartment complex next to them. The numbers to even call them are not even working and are all different which makes it difficult to call them. read more

I have had the luxury to train with two of the trainers at Steele Fitness. Jimmy Garcia who trains JujitSu so he has a fresh approach to train in relation to martial arts, plus the guy has a great attitude and lots of energy. I also have trained with Eddie Steele who is the owner, he is also a football coach and a very creative guy who like to push and motivate people. You always feel like you achieved a lot when you leave the gym as well have a good clean feel about the people you just spent a hour with, which makes you look forward to the next visit. I have a gym membership to an elite gym... my thought process: join a high end gym to motivate myself to get fit. Did that motivate me? No, because I was bored at the gym with the same machines and same boring routines. So, I tried personal training at Steele Fitness... Steele Fitness is the reason why I am healthy, fit and motivated each day to get some type of physical activity. Eddie, the owner/manager is personable, friendly, and real. He genuinely cares about his clients and will go above and beyond. Eddie volunteers his time at my Elementary School and comes to educate my students about health and being active. Steele Fitness is amazing!!! I've been in the work-out industry and training for 14+ years. I've done it all, big gym memberships, small no frills gyms, spa-like gyms, pilates studios, local rec centers etc. I've also used a personal trainer in the past and love the results i get from a personal trainer. Eddie and the rest of his team at steel Fitness are great. They are all up to date on all the latest trends and fads, they know which ones work and which ones don't. This is a great facility where you can go and not have to worry about "what body part am I going to do today?" They have all of the sets/reps already written down, know about nutrition, it's kept IMMACULATE (very important during cold and flu season) and they are constantly changing my routine so I'm not bored, and my body is always changing as a results from my 3 days a week at Steele Fitness. Every time I walk out of there I can feel myself getting better, stronger, and healthier after each work-out. Not in a female body builder way, just in a I have amazing shoulders, shapely biceps, and no longer is my a$$ dragging on the floor anymore. Showed up today (Friday) at about 12:40 pm and the place was closed. Looks like everybody loves this place and was going to check it out. Seems like I'm within the business hours and there's no sign on the door. Stayed until about 1:05 pm trying to figure it out. This place is awsome. My girlfriend has been going to Steele Fitness for a few years now and I have been a client for about a year. The staff is great and knows how to give you a hard workout. When I first started there, we were working out with Jimmie, but due to a scheduling conflict (our's) we had to switch to Eddie (the owner). Both give great workouts, to the point of muscle failure every time, and that good muscle soreness a couple days afterwards. I only go one day a week, but incorporate the regular gym into my routine. I like seeing the trainer because he pushes, motivates and makes sure we are using proper form so we won't injure ourselves. If I had more time, I'd go more often. read more

Working out is fun at Steele fitness. I've been working out with Eddie for about 5 years now. Eddie takes it to another level. Every workout is different, fun and seems to top the last one. I was at 22% body fat when I first started working out at Steele fitness, and within 3 months I dropped to 13%. My strength improved, I became toned and motivated. What's nice about this gym is there are all levels and all ages of clients. It is very a comfortable environment, clean, and nice cardio machines to use at anytime. I've been training with Eddie and his crew for 2.5 years. I honestly do not know why it's taken so long for me to write this review. When I first came to Eddie, I had an LA Fitness membership (and before that I had 24 Hour). After just one month at Steele Fitness, I canceled that membership and I haven't looked back. Eddie is, for lack of a better word, the man. He's approachable, friendly, easygoing, funny, and genuinely cares about helping you reach your fitness goals, whatever they may be. He and his staff personalize your workouts and tailor them to your wants and needs. Clients run the gamut from college students to senior citizens. No cookie cutter BS, no crazy meat heads, no trainers who scream at you like drill sergeants then later laugh about you behind your back. This is the real deal: a moderate-sized gym with all of the equipment you need to get in shape, and a staff that will get you to where you want to be, all for a reasonable price. Thanks to Eddie, I've lost about 20 pounds, built lean muscle, and have vastly improved my cardio to the point where I'm finishing in the top 27% of Spartan Races (working toward making the top 20%!). At 28, I can definitely say I'm in the best shape of my life. And I wouldn't be at this point without Steele Fitness. I have been seeing Rosemary since July 2009. I was retired from my former profession because of a major back injury. Having tried everything from drugs to physical therapy to manage my pain, I can say that my Pilates sessions have done more to keep me not only pain free a majority of the time, but I have been able to start playing tennis again. Steele Fitness OC is a great gym. The owner (Edward) and the staff are very professional and highly knowledgeable in the art of fitness. The facility is spacious, always spotless and well kept. The cliental ranges from young college students to seniors and usually there is no more than two other clients working out at the same time as you. Steele Fitness is a great place to find whatever you are looking for to get in shape. The trainers at the gym are always helpful and willing to answer any questions I have for them. The owner Eddie is always upbeat, positive and encouraging and has helped me get in the best shape I have been in 15 years even after 2 kids. I no longer dread doing cardio have lost almost 30 pounds and have even started training for a 1/2 marathon.
