On the bright side, I ended up going to Seaside in Oregon to a surf shop called "seaside surf shop". It was an extra hour drive but at least they had everything we needed and helped us out immediately. That's what a good surf shop does.

Stopped in Steepwater this past weekend just to look around and see if I could find a used longboard. Though I wasn't able to find one, Matt was pretty rad and really helpful. Bit of a smaller shop, but it's a pretty rad little place. Pretty good selection for the size of the place, with some pretty rad plans for the future of the shop. I was bringing out a buddy of mind to try surfing for his first time, and we both felt very welcomed at the shop and some other customers that were stopping by for a surf lesson. I will be back next time I'm in town for sure! read more

If you want to get talked down to like you are some peasant cause you don't surf daily then this is your spot! He will tell it to your face that he's better than you cause he's a surfer who's lived here for 25 years and clearly wayyy cooler then us customers. What a clown. Honestly this was the worst interaction I've had with a business owner in years and I'll never go back. I mentioned this to a few local friends that I have in town and basically everyone told me that the guy is shady and to stay away from Steepwater. read more

I went in to Hookers and Blow and was greeted instantly by a helpful employee that took me directly to what I was looking for.
